  1. I've not really regretted any of my past relationships, except for one. I agree that the first isn't usually ideal, and mine was probably the most problematic of the lot - controlling behavior, argumentative (some people joke about traps their partners leave, where no matter what your answer, its going to start an argument - I've legitimately lived that), but funnily enough I still don't regret that one. It taught me a lot about relationships and am a much stronger (and ironically a much more confident person) because of it. The one I regret started out (as they all did really) as a friendship - but a really, really good friendship that evolved (over the course of about 2 years) into a relationship. We got on so well, but unfortunately when the relationship ended, it killed our friendship. We are civil to each other, but have only met up once since ending it, and haven't been in contact with each other at all since then, which is a shame as we did get on so well before that. So yeah, that's the only one that I regret.
  2. Whenever I'm hit by one of his discord orbs I hightale it outta there to get rid of it (besides keeping something contested naturally). He is another one of those played well can be a huge asset to the team, but played badly (like by me XD) he can be less than useful. I can also add Mercy to one of my favourite, tried her out yesterday and actually had a lot of fun with her (still not a great Mercy player, but practice makes perfect )
  3. It suits her perfectly (and like many others here, I love it!)

    Rarity Fan Club

That character there is D.va - and our Rarity has been known to exhibit...diva like qualities from time to time XD
  5. Gotta be that Tracer, which is odd as I usually don't go for the quick 'squishy' sort of characters, I'm normally more on the tank side of things, but I found that Tracer is loads of fun and can be surprisingly disruptive, especially when you sneak behind them and take out their Reinhardt before he realises what's happening XD. When not Tracering, I sometimes play Pharah, Roadhog or D.VA (although still getting comfortable with D.VA). Least favourite, would be Reaper. I just can't get to grips with him, I guess he just doesn't suit my play style. A good Widowmaker is an absolute pain to play against, as is a good Genji (although both heroes are easy kills with less experienced players behind them).
  6. During the week I make sure to walk at least once every day (weather permitting of course - gotta love that UK climate :s) On top of that, I go running at least 3 times a week - handy that one of my colleagues has a qualification in running coaching, so go out with him around once a week or so too.
  7. I agree with the above, I've been in a similar situation before now - but applying for jobs from a position of employment makes you a stronger candidate (generally speaking, employers like to see commitment, even if you are committed to something less than ideal). It also means that your income doesn't dry up while looking for work, which (depending on the jobs) can make it difficult to attend interviews.

    general IQ

I got "Your IQ score lies within a range of 133 up to 149, or it may be even higher!" - I think I can be happy with that XD
  9. I was the same, the only reason I downloaded it to begin with was because I had friends bugging me to - and I'm glad they did XD
  10. I enjoyed it much more than I was expecting, while I enjoyed TF2 (which I think is a fair comparison) - I never really got into it. Over watch had me playing for hours every day of the beta! I will definitely be grabbing this when it comes out
  11. I almost forgot there is gonna be a reboot, I can't wait! I'm a rubbish Englishman, in the way that football doesn't interest me at all, I'll watch the rugby from time to time but that's about it. However, give me a sport involving robots destroying each other in an arena, and you got me hooked! XD
  12. Go team UK! (I'm from the UK too ). Although, it didn't feel very UK today, there was this weird yellow thing in the Sky making everything warm XD
  13. I agree with what Shabb3r said (I'd forgotten about LMMS - if memory serves, I think it is also on Linux?) - but if you are on a mac, start with Garageband (it's free). So yeah, start cheap/free before migrating to one of the 'bigger' daws. But once you are ready to progress from there, there is no 'right' way to go, if FL or Ableton work for you, then great - but many people who make electronic music don't get on with them, and prefer one of the more 'traditional' daws. You can find famous artists for any of the major options: Logic: Linking Park, Chemical Brothers, BT, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Rick Rubin, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and the soundtracks for Moon and Slumdog Millionaire were done on Logic (Hans Zimmer started on Logic) Cubase: Kraftwerk, Justice, Junkie XL, Ladytron, Uberzone, Zedd, Deadmau5 (definitely used to use it but then again, he seems to have used about every major DAW out there, I'd really not be surprised if he uses many of them). Pro Tools: Too many to list (but I'm pretty sure that Skrillex composes in Ableton, but mixes in Pro Tools - which is a common practice with many producers). I'm not trying to start an argument, but I am trying to highlight that any of the major DAWs can be used to make electronic music. Some are more geared to it, but then again, some people don't find the methods of Ableton/FL/etc that intuitive (I've tried to use FL in the past, but I just couldn't get on with it). So it really is worth checking out as many as you can, because as Shabb3r said - they are a big investment, and spending that much money on one and finding that you are struggling to get on with it, is really not a position that you want to get yourself into.
  14. No worries, any more questions just ask - I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. That's the issue with this topic, there is not short easy answer unfortunately XD
  15. On iOS your best bet is probably garage band - on computer you are looking for something called a DAW, and there are loads to choose from. It is very much personal preference, anyone who says 'insert daw here is the best' is actually saying 'I like this one' because I can guarantee that there will be high profile musicians who don't like it at all, and other high profile musicians who love it. A good few to start looking at are: FL Studio (on pc, their Mac version apparently isn't very stable), Ableton Live, Cubase, Pro Tools (if you are actually looking to record real instruments instead of using software synths, Pro Tools is pretty much the industry standard), Reaper (a little bit bare bones as far as included plugins, but fantastic price and still a very good option - especially if recording live instruments with need for many plugins), Reason and Logic (Mac only - and my own personal weapon of choice). A few things to keep in mind, while they can all record live instruments, Pro Tools and Cubase are going to be better options than FL Studio for example, but in the flip side, FL and Ableton will be better for programming soft synths. Also, most of these accept VST plugins (if you have heard of Native Instrments Massive, as an example, this is a plugin), Logic only accepts AU (audio units) - but if there is a VST of a plugin, there is almost certainly an AU version too, I've very rarely not been able to get anything because of this. Pro Tools only accepts RTAS (or AAX on older versions), which while fairly common, are much more limited compared to VST or AU and finally Reason only accepts 'rack extensions' which are very limited in availability (and a bit pricey). Ableton live accepts VST and AU plugins (on the Mac version, as I don't think AUs are Windows Compatible), Cubase might be the same, but don't quote me on that. Also, Pro Tools requires an iLok and Cubase an eLicencer - both are hardware dongles required for the serials (copy protection), and iLok isn't compatible with eLicencer or vice versa, so if you have an iLok already, but want Cubase, you will also have to go out and buy an eLicencer to get it to work. Finally, Macs come installed with GarageBand - which uses the same engine as Logic, so GB can be thought of Logic light. I started on it and it is very capable, so if you like the look of Logic, start in GB and once you need to do things you can't do in it, you can upgrade from there. As for free Windows DAW's, I'm afraid I can't really help you, as I've been using OSX since before I started tracking music. Hope this helps
  16. I'd say season 5 is definitely worth a shot. With it being so divisive, (to me) that would add even more of an incentive to watch it I personally fall into the 'season 5 was a good one' camp, with some stand out episodes in there. With season 6, I don't think it is as good as 4 or 5 (so far) - but I'm not saying that it is bad at all, just not as good (but, it's still early days - I found The Gift of Maud Pie to be a very entertaining episode).
  17. I'd say the Halo games I can go back to, especially if I've got some mates over - it's a shame split screen was removed for 5. Halo 3 and Reach are the two I'd say are the easiest to go back to. Final Fantasy IX is another (I'm actually in the middle of a play through currently XD) The Fallout games (3 onwards) Elite Dangerous - granted its not been out for that long, but I find I can go a few months without playing it and then jump right back into it and find it just as gripping as before. Finally, the Mass Effect Series. I can't just play one of them though, I've got to play them all in order (hopefully 2 and 3 will get backwards compatibility on the Xbox One soon since my 360 rrod'd on me). Ignoring the ending to 3, they all hold up really well imo, and I get completely drawn in each time I have another play through
  18. I always have my watch on, I almost feel naked without it XD I've never understood the convenience argument for using a phone - just glancing at my wrist seems much quicker than having to pull my phone out of my pocket (my phones case also covers the screen, which adds another layer to get through). Added to my personal situation, my job is in a haematology lab - so a lot of the time (pun not intended XD) physically handling my phone is a contamination risk, making a watch necessary for checking the time.
  19. Considering she is one of the central characters, and we are only a few episodes into the season, I can say that she will (with certainty).
  20. I can't speak for the ps4 controller, as I've only briefly played them at a friends house, but my friend said that whenever it is being used it is usually a bit of a gimmick. I do have a PS3 and an Xbox one (my 360 rrod'd on me D:) and the only time I can remember them using the gyroscope on the PS3 was the Arkham games (and tbh, the joystick on the dual shock would have done the job just as well, if not better). I personally think the Xbox one controller is the best that I've used (the only thing the 360 controller did better were the bumper buttons, they feel a bit cheap on the xbone's). It does what it's supposed to and is comfortable to use for a fair amount of time - I can't complain with that.
  21. So yeah, I saw this photo kicking around and my first thoughts were of our prismatic mare Granted I've never really been over to this fan club before, but it's hard to deny that Rainbow is one cool cat pony
  22. With their personalities from that movie, I'd say both Latias and Latios would be in the running for cutest legendaries. Mew would definitely be up there with them too, of those three I don't think I could decide.
  23. I'm glad it was helpful (and you enjoyed the recommendations)
  24. I find that PMVs are a good way to discover new music (whether brony tunes or not), The Collaboratory are a good starting point there. If you are into animation there are some very good ones out there, I highly recommend Lullaby for a Princess by WarpOut- sublime animation there. Argodaemon is a good starting point if you are into more SFM type animations. You've already mentioned the music, so sounds like you got that covered. Also, like it or loath it - EQD is good for some discovery, and can at least put you on the right tracks for finding things that interest you. Hope this helps
  25. Thought I'd throw in a picture of her looking traumatised at the memory of Twi abandoning her!
