  1. "Oh. I didn't realize..." she blushes, "I just thought you knew eachother before I met you guys." She stands, stretching, "We'd better check up on our apartment. I got a feeling our good Samaritan got free. Specially since pizza boy here was s'possed to guard him instead of burning musical instruments. For no particular reason.
  2. "I believe the question was designed for thought, or to deflect personal blame," Sam counters. "Further, if you could assume a form that wasn't a person in the meating, that'd be great." Just how many people are coming? I need to sleep or else AREA is going to go crazy on me...
  3. "Charley huh? Hmm, charming." She sits down in an unoccupied chair, "Australian by the sound of things. They don't have wolves naturally there... that must positively suck." She sighs tiredly into the seat, "Now, why are we s'possed to gather here? I was told I was reassigned and that's about it." She tossed up a smile, but closed her eyes. People who knew her would know that she was not near sleep yet. People new to her were generally worried.
  4. "That's all fine and good, but should you find yourself hunting a wolf in my presence you will be assured altercation," says Sam with a smile, walking into the room about a minute or two after the others. "I'd tell you my name, but I know you're just gunna spin it. So, I thought up something for you: For me, Midnight Sammy works." Sam stretches, showing the emblem at the front of her robes that had previously been covered by her sleeve. The silver wolf designated her order; the only significant group of lunar mages to survive the collapse. Once a small intelligence segment of a government supporting magic in general, the Duskwalkers were famous for two things- loyalty and their symbol. Of course, the giant silvery crescent moon on her back (previously covered by a couch) was probably much more useful at discerning her magical alignment. "Of course, Sam is probably easier to say. Pleasure to meet you, Mister?" She stuck her hand out to shake with Charles, nodding her hello to Auria. (Changed for Mal~)
  5. "Sam. Just Sam, please. That looks like it hurts. Alot. Infected even..." She looks back up at Auria, "What bit you?" She sits back, looking concerned, while pulling out her spell book. I might have a spell in hear for small cuts and scrapes. It's obviously a bit more serious, but the spell could protecr against infection... Here! The entire time her tired mind could only focus on one thing, so she didn't really hear what Auria said. And... well, she also forgot to ask if it was okay to cast the spell. She just sort of casted it on Auria's arm. Lunar magic, unlike solar magic, isn't tied down to religions that shun nightly creatures. Things like vampires, werewolves, and zombies... not a big deal. So, the magic was relatively safe for use on just about anything. Just not something constantly regenerating. Not if you're expecting something small. The magic soaked into Auria's skin, cleaning up the wound and instantly closing the wound into thin, silvery scars. This caused the tired mage to jump a bit, wide-eyed. "That wasn't s'possed to happen." She started studying the spell, "Did I do something wrong? That's supposed to be small cuts..." She blushes at Auria, a little embarresed, "Not that there's anything wrong with the result, but..."
  6. @@Azura, Sam looked at the other girl from under her hood. The humanoid next to her wore a hoodie that covered most of her features, reminding her a bit of Left 4 Dead. While an undead wouldn't be unheard of- oh... There's a bit of blood on her sleeve. It's not spreading, so she's not currently bleading... but... "Midwest training facility. Are you hurt miss? You've got a little bit of blood on your sleeve." Sam proceeded to take off her own hood to give the newcomer a tired smile. The darkening bags under her eyes making it clear that she was forcing herself awake. "They've been-*Yawn* yammering on like that for a few minutes now. Can't really handle a crowd while the sun's up, but uhhh..." She leans in as if to check the arm, then stops, "May I?"
  7. Having gotten her things squared away (and shot Zac the room location), Sam changed into her robes. An unfortunate custom of magic. I seem to need to brand myself magical. Zac never has to wear robes... She smiled at a remembered conversation about racism, though more because the dragon had been actively telling jokes. It had come to her attention a while back that such memories were hard to explain to others. It's hard to tell people the closest thing you have to a brother is a dragon. Her thoughts were interupted by a stray something under her feet, causing her to trip. With a sigh, she realized she'd thought into the stairs. Wonderful. Well, at least nobody was here to see that. She brushed off her robes and proceeded upstairs to the commons. She frowned when she found it occupied, and put her hood up. Sun is on the upswing. I don't wanna deal with people while I'm tired. She sat in a couch as far away as possible to watch some television.
  8. "I never did ask what your connection to him was..." Sayaa says, nibbling on the highly flavorful chicken. Chicken that had been obviosly poured over with TLC. However... she didn't want certain table guests whom she hadn't forgiven to know se enjoyed it. So she ate it slowly, watching Hikari around the leg.
  9. Life. Mine will be short, or at least short than a Were, or a vampire. Perfectly normal by human standards, which I still technically qualify into. People spend years dabbling into its meaning, and yet come short of anything meaningful. Perhaps life was never really meant to mean anything. Some random gene glitch gave me the powers I currently possess, and an aptitude to learn more. By some standards, you could slap me into some tights and a cape and call me a super hero. But who really wants to wear all that plastic? ahh, I believe that beep is the door-guards reminder that I have nightly studies. And to wake up. These were the thoughts running through Samantha's head as she gazed at the star-map. The starmap was actually just a little plastic covering over a projector light pointed at the ceiling. She had requested it sometime between the mesh of time that was when she was picked up for this 'job,' and now. Funny, I thought I would keep time with it... The door on locked as a groggy-looking male, lightly armed, motioned her out, "And study this time Samantha. The boss gets... well, he gets pretty pissed. And then he reports to his boss, an so forth. For my sake?" "No worries Zac!" she pats his shoulder, "This week I'm ahead of my studies!" "Yeah, and you said that last week." "At least I didn't fall asleep at the door with a p-" "You said we wouldn't talk about that anymore!" he says hurriedly, in a hushed tone. She winks and waves him off, headed towards the commons. Time to see what was going on in the world. After all, she hadn't really had many field missions. Meaning, moonlit strolls. Before she turned the corner, however, Zac stopped her. "Hey, wait a moment. Apparently, you've got mail." "Huh?" she walked back to the door, which had a wall-mounted computer-lock. It was useful for a lot of things, but it also kept her familiar belongings all locked up and safe behind a presumabley uncrackable decription. Though, as with all things, that didn't mean one-hundred-percent safe. >To: Dossier Zac Dragonov (Actual name can't be spelled) >CC: Samantha Raelyn >Subject: Reassignment >Encription: Blue __________________________________________ Attention Agents: This message is to inform you that you have been reassigned to Area 51. Your ride will arrive in two hours. Note that all magical possessions assigned to this facility will be <REPEALED BY DIRECTOR>. Your belongings must fit in a <REPEALED BY DIRECTOR>. This assignment will be PERMANENT until further notice. Please note that this means that this is your last hour on OPERATIVE TRAINING BASE ONE. Please pack any and all personal belongings. Any left belongings will be <REDACTED>. Be ready in 1 hour. ___________________________________________ "Well Zac, I guess that means you've got an hour to get your scales collected. I've gotta pack." "Scales? I don't shed scales in this form!" he replies indignantly. "And you expect me to believe that you leave yourself in 'this form,'" she asks in a slightly mocking tone. "Come on. I need my door guard to protect me from the idiots who thing I plant wheat." Zac sighs and lumbers off, while Sam turns back into her room. Pulling open a door to reveal her closet, she pulled out her suitcase and started packing. Her clothes, of course. Emergency money. Journal, check. Lunar Tome, check. Ceremonial robes.... unfortunate check. Assorted items to make the new room feel like home? Double check. And, of course, her little light. Carefully taken apart and put back into the box, she slid it safely under some clothes. No need for the ride to break the light. All ready to go, she met up with Zac and was rushed quickly into a tinted SUV. She noted, with a certain amount of euphoria, that it was indeed night time. This meant two things: One, she felt energy and connection rush back into her bones as her power source found it's tiny, lonely follower, and two-they could take the fast plane. Within another hour, they would be in Arizona... or wherever Area 51 was. That wasn't the news she followed anyway. ______________________________________________ Even with one of the fastest passenger planes on the planet, it couldn't compare to the fast plane. Which is why it mildly confused her when the Agency stuck a dragon posing as a human, and a mage connected to the night, into a regular old airplane. Sure, they'd gotten Silver class, which was better than Economy, but wasn't this whole thing supposed to be an illustrious but secretive schtick? The music on the speakers was not her favored Beethoven, or Motzart. It wasn't Avril Lavigne, either. Not Evanescence. Not even the Black Eyed Peas. In fact, it sounded like it was all by 'unlicensed local artist, according to the excessively dim screen. And to top it all off, it was all twangy country, and grungy rock. Suppressing a groan, she opted out of it and resolved to stare at the sky with her thoughts. So many places on this Earth. So many places, and I'm among the small number of Lunar Mages left. According to my studies, we lost-beat out hard-style by our supposed brothers of the Solar Sect. Probably because they were more appealing to a more normal audience. I mean, it's hard to garner allies when you're sleeping scheduled is the exact opposite of theirs. A bloody battle anyway, in some unfathomable pre-history. And hey cut us down to a point that I could be likened to some rare or precious artifact, down to the point where I could be 'hired' to be preserved. Lovely. Doesn't make it easier to learn my magic though. At that point, she had to concentrate on controlling the random sparks of energy to ensure the safety of the flight, and her person. She took some suppressants, with a side-affect of drowziness, and fell asleep for the rest of the flight. ______________________________________________ When she awoke, it was still night. Or at least, nigh again. The black-tinted window had fogged up, leaving a mark where her now-cold cheek had been only moments ago. Night time in a desert. Cold, but not unfeeling. Perhaps if someone asked, her energy would fill them with warmth... Another sigh. To many in the last few hours. She was already missing "home". The gate was unassuming. The tech inside was not. Fortunately, having already been through her regularly scheduled ID update, the elevator ride was easy. Zac, however, had not. It's hard to remember when your older than a century, he would say. That, and the human form they used for his ID hadn't changed in the ten-ish years Sam had known the dragon. She slid her ID and rode the elevator down, shaking off the suppressant. She shuddered, glad she was alone in the elevator as the silver-light of her magic burst out of her and dispersed. An uncommon, but non-threatening side effect of the suppressant. On some people, it interfered with the natural flow of magic in the body-essentially their energy, which the Chinese had been known to call Chi, though the two weren't quite the same. Still, they operated similarly enough that it enhanced one's understanding. An unbalance in this energy could cause some quite serious consequences, but the drug (at least this version) was nowhere near strong enough. It didn't even lock the powers away. That being said, she was glad to have shaken it. With a sigh, she stepped out and showed the guard her ID behind a youngish man who smelled like a bar. Shaking fanciful images of her assumptions of this man's night from her mind, she went to find her new living quarters and 'set up shop'.
  10. The Head Cannon Heavy Update. Caroling Chikorita, on 10 Dec 2014 - 8:37 PM, said: Beta has a little trouble keeping up with Pinkie at first but gets the hang of it pretty fast. He manages to keep Pinkie in line and do moves that perfectly synced with hers. "Princess Pie, how do you think my lovely dancing is going right now my fair maiden?" Your two-step is fine, but how is your swing?” she challenges, as the song changes. And so,with the new song camea new beat and a new dance. All eyes are on the floor as Pinkie get ready for the next song, bouncing to the beat. The Shadow Stallion, on 10 Dec 2014 - 9:04 PM, said: Steelhide was a bit taken aback that Luna had taken the place of Dusk to fight him. He was momentarily conflicted as well given that it wasn't his norm to fight members of the opposite gender. However, he did have respect for all warriors whether they be lowly commoner to the mightiest of kings or in this case princess. Luna's words rang within Steelhide's ears. Steelhide gave his sword a few short swings. "I wish you luck as well, lady Luna." Steelhide said. He relaxed his stance, but was ready to act in a moment's notice. He knew that chances are Luna expected him to follow her and then she would strike at him. It was a basic trap, but most rash ponies would have taken the bait and just charged right in. He glanced at Dusk before moving to the other side of the weapon rack, intending to circle around and behind Luna as to not be ambushed. Though he was still conscious. In a fight one could never be too certain of an enemy's movements unless one saw the actual enemy. He rounded the other side of the weapon rack cautiously, keeping his guard up and his eyes constantly moving to detect any flicker of movement. (You’re funny. It was Dusk who wished you luck, and Duskwho retreated back there to watch. Welp, here goes nothing) The two of you circle around the rack for a bit, before Luna teleports and knocks you back onto the training floor. The magic activates the floor’s perimeter seal, sealing everything within the broad, circular training arena inside of that area. The weapons racks and other obstacles out of the way, you two are free for some uninterrupted dueling. Count Paradox, on 10 Dec 2014 - 11:54 PM, said: He shook his head. "Heheh, uh, no... I'm actually tangled up good here... But... it seems as though staying like this might make you feel better for a while. Is that what you would like, Fluff? I'll promise to stay for a bit if you want." He nuzzled her cheeck gently. "Hey, cheer up. Please? For me?" She jumps happily and bounds home. The treehouse seems quiet as she drags you down stairs for snuggles. Somehow hugging you around her fluff, she hums quietly to herself. HopeTheWanderer, on 11 Dec 2014 - 09:51 AM, said: (You don't have to make up stuff in poems if you don't want to, or at least not all the time ) "Few have the honor of hearing a zebra's tales. I would also...like to get to know more about you. " He replied, reaching over to nuzzle Zecora briefly. "I also know very little about the zebra homeland and I would like to broaden my knowledge of it." “I’m far far away From my home on this day Where Zebras out number Ponies at play. The mornings are hot, The night is yet cold Water seems forever draught, and food forever old. The trails between towns Are small, treach’rous and few, They’ve been known from time to time To eat an entity or two. The towns themselves lie O’re vast open fields Numbers protecting all sides From malcontent and fear The colorful dances, The beautiful songs Saddle Arabia is where I come from. A small village for farming, A traveller’s rest, At which I found I was once at it’s head. A chief among healers of body, mind, and soul. A shaman, they called me, in that time long ago. I trained my replacement, Having found myself uncontent, And though there were sad faces I could not repent I was itching to move on, That time was to part The dusty sand basin Was not the home of my heart. I followed this trail And others just like it; I followed my heart To find it’s last call, And I hope that I’ve found it, once and for all.. The town here is nice, And though I’ve lost stature I’ve gained many friends On this perilous venture. And perhaps if we’re lucky, I’ve found a bit more. But perhaps we should focus On dinner once more.” The waiter came with their respective dinners as she tried to cover a faint blush. She thanks the waiter, before beginning her meal. Scilight Paitanibu, on 12 Dec 2014 - 4:13 PM, said: @Nightwing "I choose, really, to work in every topic of science and engineering. I specialize more in a few than others, but I do all." Scilight replied gleefully. It soon became obvious to him that Twilight knew he was tense, so he responded; "Also, I am not very relaxed, since I am dancing and visiting with the one pony who I absolutely love!" Scilight replied. He actually did love Twilight, this just wasn't a misinterpreted crush. Twilight blushes, “Uhehe, well… Hmm…” She didn’t really know quite how to handle all this, “Uhh, Scilight… Do you have any favorite areas of science? I was hoping to try to get to know you better…?” Comet Tail, on 18 Dec 2014 - 01:48 AM, said: Task accomplished: Hot Cocoa times three acquired. Now for the final phase of the operation: I take a sip of my own, then levitate over a second cup I had bought to just in front of her (careful to not have her crash into it in her focus) as I call; "Hey, there." I pause to smile and lift the second cup up to her in an offering gesture. "I got this for you. And one for Spike. Buuut I guess he's not coming? Oh, and I think I've got some extra room in my saddlebags if you need it for all that stationery..." She looks up from her book, but it takes a moment for her eyes to focus. When they do, she blushes briefly and snaps her book closed, before setting it away and levitating her hot chocolate in front of her, “Thanks. Spike couldn’t come, he’s been working on something for his special somepony. Shall we?” crisahys, on 18 Dec 2014 - 9:52 PM, said: Veiled Spike looks to her right finding Applejack sitting next to her. Veil said, "Hey Applejack! glad you found me and decide to watch the show with me!" Veil smiles a heavy grin and then looks at the stage to watch the rest of the show while eating the last bite of the first hot dog and took a sip of her own soda. “Not a problem. Now shh, they’re starting.” The pony Tunes sing their first set, and the curtains close for intermission. Applejack goes in search of some food, leaving you with a decision to make as to what next to do.
  11. Scilight Paitanibu, on 27 Nov 2014 - 8:00 PM, said: @Nightwing "Well, Twilight, I am many things!" Replied Scilight cheerfully. "I am what you could call intelligent. I enjoy science. THere's many things about me that do not exist in different ponies, because I am me!" Scilight replied again, but slightly more (Zestily?). He twirled Twilight around, and he attempted to keep her up, and succeeded. He seemed to have no trouble compared to Twilight. I wonder why? Welp, I am just an omniscient roleplay narrator, so I guess I shouldn't know. Anyway, Scilight then said "Twilight, I am an earth pony of course. My interests are in the place of science, and engineering usually!" “That’s not a lot to go off, if we’re comparing interests,” she said with a laugh, “Surely you must relax. And science, even engineering, are broad fields. Is there no limit to the scope of your ambition, or do you choose to specialize in a particular segment of those topics?” Caroling Chikorita, on 27 Nov 2014 - 8:06 PM, said: Beta laughs at being called this. "Why yes, I am Beta, the Knight of Frosting. I shall save you my princess from the evil veggie monster using my frosting abilities." He pretends to fight a monster. "Oh yes, I've saved you my princess of fun and parties, how about a nice dance?" He holds out his hoof for Pinkie to take. “Oh, my good Sir Knight, however shalt I repay? I am but a poor princess who values the thrill of the dance. Oh, but surely I will dance with you, for there art no pony more worthy,” she giggles, taking your hoof. However, when you go to lead her out, she grabs your hoof and drags you onto the dance floor. The tune set to lively, though the floor was mostly devoid of the now-stuffed tasters, she spins around to face you and you know it’s time to go. Count Paradox, on 27 Nov 2014 - 11:17 PM, said: Noticing that Puff looked a bit down now, Dox did his best to manuver and hug her, even though he was still practically trapped in her fur. "Hey, its ok, Puff, don't be sad..." He looked around, then back at Ponyville. "I think we should head back and see if Twilight could help us out here... I'm sure you don't want me in your fur forever." She buzzes, pulling out a sign from her pocket dimension. You’re beginning to suspect that the signs may just magically create themselves when she needs to talk. “You can’t just climb out?” The sign, combined with her still-droopy demeanor, carried the weight of her sadness. The Shadow Stallion, on 27 Nov 2014 - 11:53 PM, said: "I believe I understand what you are saying. Though I am experienced in the world there is always more to learn, is there not?" Steelhide ended this with a laugh to lighten the mood a bit. "Now I believe we have a practice bout to commence then, eh?" Steelhide rolled his wings and neck in place, loosening his muscles a little and letting them relax. Steelhide was always taught that it was better to be relaxed in a fight then rigid and stiff. The constant strain added to the actual combat of remaining stiff and rigid would fatigue a soldier more quickly then if they would have been more relaxed. Luckily combat was something Steelhide was a bit of a natural in especially with his chosen weapons. Just as the would-be fight was about to start, Luna walked in. Fully dressed in battle armor and a small smile, she dragged a double-edge one-and-a-half-hoofed sword off the wall, “Peace, Weaponmaster. Allow me.” The sightless, pupilless, but vibrantly colored eyes of Night blinked once, before nodding and stepping back. “They say that warriors kiss by crossing blades…. good luck mate,” he whispers to you, before retreating behind a weapons rack. Comet Tail, on 03 Dec 2014 - 12:07 AM, said: (gobble gobble) Answers her... Personally!? Who am I getting in the train with!? This could be! - no, no, friend first, VIP second. You're NOT just going to know her for perks of knowing someone influential and important. She's way into astronomy, after all, and on a personal level, that's far more important than any office! "Righto, well, see ya at the station, then!" I head out with a skip in my step, galloping through the town as I head back home. The excitement is energizing like a gallon of concentrated coffee. I can't remember the last time I've been so excited about anything. This could be my big chance to prove myself to the scientific and astronomical community, too! Thoughts of anxiety and nervousness poke at the edges of my mind, but melt away to excitement and ambition. I'm gonna make stuff happen! However, unlike my nervousness, the cold does not melt away, and by the time I get to my house; I'm sure to pack warm! Scarf, saddlebags, my current book on astronomy (Gravity's Fatal Attraction: Black Holes in the Universe)... I pause at feeling the book's textbook-like cover and pages. She's going to think it's so nerdy that I read this for fun. This will be her next relationship compatibility test: How does she respond to this being my book of choice? I grin widely, and continue packing; sweater, jacket, wallet, another bag of bits, pencil, slide rule, pen and paper, a snack, canteen, cocoa mix, toiletries... I mentally double-check my checklist, don the jacket, socks and boots and warm headgear along with the scarf, and after seeing off my some-what-concerned parents, head to the station with the loaded saddlebags, looking for anywhere that might offer a quick hot cocoa on the way... You arrive at the station, cocoa in hoof, while standing in the baggage check line. You spot Twilight a few ponies down magically dragging 2 suitcases behind her while carrying a saddlebag so obviously stuffed with book and pencils that it’s evidence would spill out from time to time. In the same moment, she levitated a book in front of her, reading it. It was entitled ‘Physics and Magic: The How-To Guide of Magic in Space.” The thing was practically as thick as her hoof, and seemed to absorb the majority of her attention. Whatever wasn’t focoused on mataining the magical field picking up her pencils, that is. My little pwny, on 03 Dec 2014 - 5:55 PM, said: Pwny rarely lost control of his emotions, in fact, of the entire 2 years he was gone, he had only broken down once in tears. This was evidence to himself that deep down behind the professional persona Pwny put up, there was a sensitive, insecure stallion. Just stunned at the unexpected turn of events, Pwny couldn't help but smile, and let one small tear drop down. He couldn't even feel the slap that Twilight had given him, especially after they hugged. When Twilight exclaimed that he should never, ever do something like this again, Pwny couldn't help but agree with her. He did what had to be done... but was it worth the price? Pwny tried hard to keep his overwhelming flood of emotions at bay when he said, "Twilight... It's... how? ... " He was at a loss for words since he was trying to express three ideas at once. "There's so much I want to say right now. I don't know where to start." As Twilight was listening, she was nibbeling on the food she teleported in, probably trying to conceal her emotions as well. She listened intently to what little Pwny had to say, but in reality this whole moment was a blur to both parties. "I never forgot you during my travels... You certainly have been doing well for yourself lately.." said Pwny, while looking around at the room. "Before I tell you my report, can you tell me what you've been up to since I've been gone?" She whistles, “Pwny, it’s been so long…. After Cadence’ and Shinning’s wedding, we raised security on the kingdom… but….” She waves a hoof, “We’ve befriended Discord, defended the Crystal Empire against it’s ancient shadow emperor, I became an Alicorn,” she goes down the list hesitantly, face altering with the different events from distaste with Discord, to a mixed feeling with her alicornship, “We were invaded by Lord Tirec, an ancient Centaur-like entity who hates ponies. He blew up the treehouse, and my… uhh, my books.” She bites her lip, “We defeated him and, in an almost inexplicable fashion, the magic of friendship erected the Ponyville Crystal Treehouse. You have to see it Pwny. It’s incredible.”
  12. Dusk raises his eyebrows, "I see many things, mate. However, I am technically blind. So, if you mean, did I see an intense amount of dark energy flood in, the withdraw, then yah. Could I make a good guess as to what it was? Yah. But somethings can only be taught through experience. So no, I saw nothing. Steady yourself. You'll need both halves of the coin to defend what you'd love."

Well, do you think you can get ready in an hour? Not sure how much packing we'll need to do." I anxiously put one hoof over the other, as my ears go flat against my head again, "I mean, kinda short notice, and if you don't want to..." Wait... A major observatory in Canterlot! Don't let this slip! C'mon, Comet, live a little! I suddenly perk up, confidence immediately enters my voice; "I mean, yeah! I can be ready in an hour if you can! So if you're good, I am! I can just run back, grab a few essentials then meet you at the station..." Then, the adventurous spirit melts to make way for curiosity; "And why were you confused to get an answer from a secretary?" "(Oh, and cool mail system!)" I sneak in a quick aside to Spike. “Celestia’s never had a secretary before. Or, if she had…. well… She’s always answered me personally…” Twilight frowns a little in thought, before shaking her head. Spike gives you a quick thumbs up, as Twilight adds, “You’d better get a move on. The trains do not like to be held up!” She offers you a smile, waiting for some privacy to pack. I slow my gait to... well... A slower one, as I dance more slowly, allowing her to catch up.* She bites her lip and does her best to follow, though she’s still pretty much all over your ankles. “So… uh, tell me about yourself.” She offers awkwardly, searching for conversation. Especially since you’ve got a little something….” She brings her hoof and tries to brush something off your cheek, then blushes as she realizes she pretty much just straight up smeared your cheek with cupcake batter. Laughing, she does it to your other cheek, giving you warrior cupcake marks. “And I dub thee Sir Beta, Knight of the Frosting!” She giggles, “Maybe tomorrow we should do a medieval theme.” crisahys, on 09 Nov 2014 - 8:22 PM, said: Veiled Spike waves and says, "bye," to Big Mac and Applejack as she leaves with the picnic stuff. She then is finally able settle down on a perfect spot to see the show from. She figured to enjoy the wind blowing through her mane and relax before trying to look for Applejack. The initial music dims down a bit just as Applejack slides in next to you. The curtains separate to show the whole Pony Tones (including Fluttershy) standing before the audience. Yeah, I think I'd like to join your club." “That’s great!” She gives you a huge smile and starts bouncing around. Just as she’s about to deliver an excited speech, however, the nurse enters, looking a bit confused. Your choices - think fast and explain why you’re there, or think not-so fast and have Applebloom do the talking. Count Paradox, on 10 Nov 2014 - 09:11 AM, said: "Whew!" If Dox had his hooves free, he would have wiped sweat from his brow. "At least we're going someplace a lot safer." He looked up and saw Fluttershy standing in her garden. "Oh, um, hello, miss Shy!" He called out to her as they approached. "Sorry if we intrude, its just Puff was following a butterfly and I kinda got stuck in her fluff..." She blushes bashfully and waves, “Hello Mr. Dox. I hope you’re…. umm… successful in escaping… She very much enjoys snuggles.” Puff suddenly stops and looks excitedly at Fluttershy, who squees and bolts indoors. Now a little dejected, our favored pink confectionary pony could definitely use some lovin. My little pwny, on 18 Nov 2014 - 3:42 PM, said: The journey has ended. Pwny has done his duty to queen and country by completing reconnaissance on surrounding countries. It was no small task; 2 years prior, Pwny was requested personally by Princess Celestia to head up a unprecedented journey in order to investigate where queen chrysalis could have went, and if there are any other potential enemies Equestria could instead befriend, or if needs be, deter from becoming an enemy. Walking towards the Canterlot Castle's gate, Pwny approached the guards weary, tired, but also confident. "I'm here to see Princess Celestia. The mission she gave me is complete, and I'm here to be debriefed." "Wait here." Said the royal unicorn Guardsmen as he turned backwards through a false wall, created by magic. This is new, thought Pwny. He touched the false wall with his hoof, and it was as solid as it had appeared. I wonder who invented this spell? This didn't exist when I left... A couple minutes later, the Guardsmen came back the way he came, brushing into Pwny just a bit. "My apologies, Pwny. We didn't realize you were returning! The quest you were sent on was anticipated to take 6 months, yet, it has been 25 months since you've left! We counted you as a casualty!" 25 months?!? Thought Pwny. This doesn't add up... I thought I was only gone a year! "Things... got complicated. You may know this, but there was no way in communicating back to Equestria from where I was going. The mission required action, and that is why it took long than expected..." The guardsmen looked like he was processes the information. After a five second pause, he said, "You're clear to come in. Follow me." "Lead the way", replied Pwny. Both Stallions went through the false wall, this time letting Pwny pass without clipping him. The stoney hallway they entered through was obviously used for security purposes and emergencies, because it went under almost every important room in the Castle. It was lit by several dim torches in order to light the way. It was wide enough for hoof-traffic to go both ways, and tall enough for Princess Celestia to stand. For several moments there was no conversation between the two of them until they hit two right turns and a flight of stairs. The Guardsmen spoke up and said, "Princess Celestia would like to hear your report as soon as possible. However,..." he paused and stopped at the top of the stairs, "do you know anything that has happened in Equestria the past two years?" Looking up at him, Pwny responded, "Like I said, I have had no communication with this country from where I was located." "None at all? Not even whispers are rumors about changes in royalty?" Pwny thought to himself for a moment, then said, "There was a village I passed through on the way back just beyond Equestrian influence that mentioned to me that there was a new princess who knew Celestia pretty well previously. That's all the information I got though." "That new princess will be doing your debriefing. She personally requested to do so when we alerted the Castle of your presence. Celestia granted the request and you'll be seeing her shortly." "I waited two years apparently, I can wait two more days if needs be." "Follow me", said the Guardsmen again as he continued to walk forwards. A few minutes of walking later, he paused at what seemed like a very random part of the hallway. He turned to the wall, pounded the ground four times rhythmically, and a rotating door popped out of place. Another false wall. A lot less magic involved though. Pwny thought. Immediately past the door was a narrow staircase with a trap door at the roof. The guardsmen stopped and said, "Here's where we part ways. She's been waiting for you for a long time. Good luck on your report." The guard started to walk back the way they came when he lastly said, "Who knows, we may be seeing more of each other depending on how it goes." Before he was out of earshot, Pwny loudly spoke, "I never got your name!" The guardsmen replied, looking over his shoulder saying, "We'll probably cross paths again. Don't worry." Pwny stared at the armored pony walking away until he went down the staircase. He had no idea who this new princess was, but at this time, that's not what concerned him the most. During his entire journey, especially when times were the hardest, the one motivating thing that got him through it was his mare, Twilight Sparkle. They had a relationship for a few months prior to his assignment from Celestia, right when they were the closest to each other. It broke both their hearts for him to have to leave, but the assignment came in the wake of the attack on the Castle from Queen Chrysalis which made the importance of international exploration priority number one. He could remember the day he left like it was yesterday, and the moment he had to say goodbye to Twilight. He said, "Don't wait for me Twilight. Life is to short to expect you to not move on." "No, never! Remember, it's just six months! That's... that's nothing! Don't say stuff like that!" cried Twilight. Pwny sorrowfully said, "Celestia says it'll take six months, but we both know that something could hap...." *SLAP* "DON'T EVER SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT!" Yelled Twilight, slapping Pwny in the face. "Just leave! LEAVE ME! Celestia said you don't have to go! She said she would find someone else! But you insisted. YOU are leaving ME! Not ME leaving YOU!" "But Twilight... I lo..." "Just go. I don't want to hear it, Pwny." Despite that memory, Pwny's feelings for Twlight barely changed. He, himself, has changed quite a bit over the 25 months, but still anticipated meeting her once again. But first, he had to be debriefed by this 'new princess'. Pwny finally walked up the stairs, and opened the trap door to see a Purple Alicorn on the opposite side of a table..... "..........Twilight?!" With a flash, the purple alicorn teleported right in front of you, delivering one big hug. And then one big slap. “Don’t you ever, ever, do that to me again!” She hugs you again before backing off, smiling bashfully. Brushing some mane behind her ear so she can tuck her head to hide her blush, she adds, “You look untouched by time. The… umm… road treat you well?” You can tell by her face that she’s having a bit of a hard time dealing with her emotions. Reguardless, she sits you down at the table and magics in some light food. Not exactly a berry buffet, or a similar ornery dinner, but enough. Sitting across from you, she leans forward on her elbows to listen. Despite the wings, and the glittering crown sitting in the corner practically unworn, she seems the same. Sure, powerful princess, sure wings, but same spark in her eyes. Same affectionate presence… And yes, the same semi-uncertain, worried stare. HopeTheWanderer, on 19 Nov 2014 - 04:16 AM, said: Hope blushed slightly and took a small bite of his piece.
