I hate when it rains the night before I ride though, the arena's all boggy the next day :/

There was an arena there as well! I used to practice barrel racing. Western style is the only style I've been introduced to

The part in Oregon I lived in was a dry one. We had a roofed arena when it rained but when it did, there weren't puddles lying around for long. Sounds like a big yikes though. Horses are prone to tripping.

Yeah, we all just have to navigate around the puddles. I ride English style only, but I love jumping the best!
