Pencil Doodle slowly began to wake up; it had been several hours since he fell asleep and all his negative emotions didn't help him rest.
He was still cradling Twilight's photograph in his arms, like how a child cradles a soft toy. As his eyes began to open, he revealed them to be heavily bloodshot from crying.
Rarely had Pencil been in such a pathetic state.
After moving his head around for a few moments trying to click his neck, Pencil Noticed a little folded piece of paper. It was never there before, and the library is way too organized for stuff to appear out of nowhere like that.
Despite the fact that Pencil was in no mood to talk, he opened up the note and read it. It was a note from Cloud Dreamer:
"Dear Pencil,
I know how hard it is for you to be without your loved one. Twilight was like a second mom to me, there for me before this happened. If I- or anyone else- finds out where she is, I will personally volunteer to go on that venture with you.
I hope you will understand. I feel as if I haven't been truly loved since I have been subjected to Chrysalis's experiments, the reason I am with the dark power you see me with now...
Signed,
Cloud Dreamer.
Pencil felt... strange. He had never really socialized with Cloud before, he felt that he wouldn't care. But this message had so much depth for Pencil, it showed that someone shared his pain and cares for him. Plus someone who said that they'd help him save Twilight if it isn't too late.
Pencil dried his tears, and for once, put on a natural smile. Things were finally looking up for Pencil.
He got back into the elevator, not caring were he'd end up next. It was a brand new day for him
