Just got an iMac. I love it, but MacOS Catalina is a mess. NO support for most of my steam library because they're all blocked by Catalina's 64-bit restriction. But I went back to Mojave so everything's okay lol.

So I just received my ballot. This is my first time voting this year lol.

I work at my first job at my local grocery serving in the deli and I already have a bossy coworker telling me how I am closing person and making me do all these closing procedures (while she makes some shredded chicken) even though my deli manager told me and made it clear that I'm not the closing person. She's literally telling me to do stuff that is supposed to only be done by closing people. I already know what my responsibilities are on the job because my manager told me what they are, yet my bossy coworker is making me do extra work because she considers someone who leaves at 9PM as a closing person even though actual closing people leave anywhere past 10PM. This pisses me off.
Also forgot to add how she keeps forcing me to do these procedures and WANTS me to get them done by *specific* times.

Nvidia did a great job releasing their new RTX 3080 today lmao. Guess I'll just blow my money on a used GTX 1080 Ti to replace my GTX 1070 and possibly even a better monitor. Such a huge corporation lets massive amounts of bots to ruin our experience!

I use a 970 that I used for mining (and is not really useful for mining anymore), my other PC has a 780 - still good enough for Metro Exodus.
I would have used one of the 1070s I have instead of the 970, but I have to get the DP->VGA adapter working since those cards do not have native analog outputs.
I can wait some months, I am in no rush to buy something to pay too much for it. I won't die if I don't get a new video card right now, even if there was a game I wanted to play and it did not run on the cards that I have.

My first gaming video card was a 3dfx Voodoo 2, but yeah, I regret selling it too. Some old games work better with a 3dfx card (though, I guess, I could just buy one one ebay).
I have a few 970s (I got them relatively cheap for their hashrate at the time). The game I play on a 970 is Borderlands 3, it runs fairly well and the 9xx series are the last video cards to have a native analog output. The newer ones no longer have it and while I have a hih frequency DP->VGA adapter it looks like the adapter requires EDID (information about supported resolutions etc) from the monitor to work, so now I have to build some kind of EDID-injector. However, since I recently resumes mining on my 1070s and RX580s there is no rush

Yesterday at work was very awful. I had to deal with my very first Karen...

I hate waking up to random cramps on my upper chest. Scares me to wake up to a heart attack.

> Here trying to save up for the upcoming $699 RTX 3080 only to realize that my debit card has a spending limit of $500 and I can't raise it until I have the sufficient amounts to raise the spending limits... oh do I love Wells Fargo bank!

May I do a little bit of ranting on here?
Anyways, I'm tired of my own family. I'm constantly being pushed to get straight A's in school. I fail to do that. Now I'm done with K-12 education, I can pretty much do whatever I want with my own life now, right? Not with my own (Asian) family. I'm constantly being forced to do college. Now that I have my own job, but with a heavy work schedule, I can't keep up with schooling. If anything, I'm done with writing comprehensive and argumentative essays. I'm done with algebra and I don't want to ever touch calculus. I just want to do what I want to do without having to be forced into anything. I do plan to go to college, just not straight after high school. I care about my own job more than I do about attending a 2 year community college. Life's a tough place to live in right now. I hope you guys are all doing fine right now, though.

At this point, it's not college that's my problem. It's my family. I feel like I would be disowned. I would kicked out of the house if my mother ever found out that I dropped my classes because I wanted to take a few gap years. All because she said to me that I'm never allowed to skip college and that I'm pretty much stuck in this stupid trap.

@KujamihI thought Computer science was a good alternative along with learning about electrical circuits. But the main reason I dropped out is because the workload is too much for me to handle with my heavy work schedule.

I see... ..... We have different views on college haha
why do you go to college in the first place?
Mine is to get work... So thats why i didnt finish my course. Because im already an aircraftmechanic. And why do i need to finish my course when it has already done its purpose.
Have you tried getting fewer courses... Its gonna be expensive but if you really wanna finish your course why not? And if you can't... Well we can't have everything... Life is hard.

So now that college has begun for me, it's heavily interfering with my work schedule as I'm being put towards closing/evening shifts for 30+ hours every week and I literally can't attend my evening class calls on zoom, let alone any noon classes. If I wanted to adjust my schedule, changes would only take effect after two weeks from when I requested for changes to my schedule and I would have to skip a few classes for the next two weeks.

Jus got my very first paycheck today! God I'm so proud of myself lmao. It was payment for only one work day, but still plenty enough $$$!

My first day on the deli job felt like 10 years of torture lol. Now I got three more days for next week. All 9 hour days of dealing with boatloads of customers.
