    Gender Race

1001 >.> <.< More or less. Mostly less for now.
  2. I mean... it might make sense if it's a catchy silly name for nutritional/decontamination powdered additive? But I find that unlikely without something about it printed on the front.
  3. I don't like Trump... but I don't think he's as bad as everyone says he is. Don't get me wrong, I would rather some one else in office of such a powerful nation as the USA however a lot of the things he's said are just words to me. Rhetoric and chest thumping that he used to get himself elected. He doesn't believe in global warming which is a disaster waiting to be, his economic policies are going to probably going to strain the US to breaking point and his hair is likely going to ensure no foreign leader can ever take him seriously. However he isn't the racist, sexist, misogynistic, xenophobic idiot everyone believes him to be. Or at least not more so then the next old white guy out of touch with modern standards. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic but I don't think he's going to completely trash the US. No. I'm far more worried about the people who voted for him because of those words and how they are now emboldened by their victory. Also his running mate and vice president to be scares the heck out of me. That guy is apparently in support of gay correctional facilities. Megatron for President! Vote Decipticon today! Seriously... I'm pretty sure Megatron running for president of Earth or some such was the plot of an episode some time.
  4. The Antarctic is the south pole. No polar bears and little to no actual residence. We would have to use hydroponics and maybe operate a ship for food, the Falkland islands would be closest. And I guess that's personal preference, I would rather be a bit chilly then be left sweating in that kind of heat.
  5. Maybe... but in all honesty we could garner the same advantages from living in the Antarctic. Additionally it's easier to run and fix a heater then an airconditioner, there aren't any dangerous predators to worry about and all in all it would look way cooler... (The British Halley VI Antarctic research station.) Pun intended.
  6. Oh heck no! Do you know how many people in Australia are killed each year by venomous spiders... being spotted in peoples cars causing them to swerve and cause accidents? (deaths via venomous spiders directly are actually pretty low, like less then one a year.) It's also hot. Way too hot.
  7. Hum, a tricky choice... for some. Personally I think I would enjoy becoming a Digitised Hacker inhabiting the internet! As a purely digital entity where my thoughts are coding manifestation and the world my playground... naturally I would spend a fair share of my time using these powers to better humanity and topple corrupt organisations be they government, corporate or other. What fun are supper powers of any kind if you can't be the hero? Being able to jump back to my real body and the cyber world would also be nice though not a pre-requisite. Also see Virtual Ghost and Brain Upload for more details.
  8. I would give myself about ten minuets. Actually, make that five. Joking aside, I could probably go a couple of weeks and have but I won't like it. The level of connection and near instantaneous information retrieval is essential, not just to my but also to the progress of man kind as a whole. Going without it is like going for a walk without socks and shoes. Sure you could do it but why would you want to?
  9. That would be a rather boring, in my bedroom, on my bed with my laptop in my case. The site however was a somewhat dodgy pirate site with half the episodes missing. Later I found them all in much higher quality on youtube. Was surprised they hadn't been copyright struck sooner.
  10. Don't know. There aren't many people or ponies who I think would deserve it, and certainly not permanently. I guess certain particularly dangerous creatures or monsters could go there, along with those with both dangerous powers and an unwillingness to make a change for the better... until they've decided they've had enough, then they could appeal for probation. Or try to escape. They could do that too. So pretty much a high security magical combined prison and zoo. I guess that means my answer is technically whom ever the courts decide deserve it.
  11. Honestly I'm inclined to think Twilight is still the stronger mare by far. It might be considered a bit of a hypocritical answer as the same excuse has been used with Celestia's fight with Chrysalis and I don't buy it there but I honestly think Twilight was holding back to a degree, deliberately avoiding permanent harm to any party, be it Starlight or any innocent bystanders as would be her priorities. In addition to unrefined combat skills and physically exerting herself in other ways as mentioned above it makes some sense. Fighting isn't in Twilight's nature, not these days at least, she's willing to if pushed but she won't use it as a first resort when so many of her lessons have taught her there's a better way.

    gaming No Man's Sky-Hype

I'm looking forward to seeing how it rolls out and seeing what it can and can't actually do. I don't believe a lot of the hype that surrounds it and I think that it's going to be a major blow to the game if it can't hold up expectations but... I don't think it's going to be a bad game in of itself, simply not the one most people are expecting. It seems to be heavily focused on exploration and I like that but I don't think it'll be able to keep it's infinite exploration mechanics up for as long as people hope. Remember the first Borderlands game? It's biggest advertising point was infinite procedurally generated guns. It didn't catch on because one gun wasn't all that excitingly different from another of it's level. I fear No Man's Sky will have the same issue with planets. Personally I'm more interested in another game in development; DUAL universe. Similarly unbelievable at first and might be promising things it can't deliver but a lot more exciting if it can deliver.
  13. Wow... the misanthropy is strong with this thread. Personally I couldn't disagree more considering the scenario. A completely new land full of aliens with magical powers that on occasion could be described as god like? Oh we would be spooked for sure and a military build up out of fear of what they might do would be near automatic but invasion? Right off the bat? Not only would such an action be monumentally stupid and most defiantly against public opinion thus by extension the priorities of any democracy but simply against the nature of the average modern human. We would know nothing about this new land except for the fact that it's population is cute and friendly. There are no known natural resources of significant importance such as oil, no competing nations or ideologies, no excuses and little reason beyond fear of magic to go to war and that one reason would be just as much a deterrent for war until we spent time to understand it. Now not to say the road would be a smooth happy ride full of rainbows and sunshine, heavens no, but war would not be the first choice of action for humanity or the United States, not without a significant catalyst.
  14. Hum... I don't know. On one myself and Twilight both have a great love for books, science and a general introvert streak that I hope would give us the foreknowledge when and when not to bother each other. However on the other hand my disorganisation, sometimes poor work ethic and perhaps my fascination with weaponry and war-fair (in spite of my squeamishness when it comes to actually implementing such things) would great on her nerves. Likewise her vaguely borderline OCD tendencies might mutually agitate us as I have a partial love of the more chaotic aesthetically speaking and overly nitpicky and ridged schedules and schemes tend to offend my sense of flexibility. However... given all that? I think we could get over our differences if we gave each other their space where needed. However we most definitely would require our own individual computers. With her thirst for knowledge there's no way I could keep her off the internet for long and little way I could get her unhooked once there. I don't think so. You could absolutely adore Rainbow Dash for her skill, speed and ability but still be driven up the wall by some of her every day behaviour like sleeping where ever she feels like or, yeah, monopolising the TV.
  15. I see little issue with your position. While I do love the show I will freely admit what finally got me to identify with the title brony was the fandom, not the show. These days it's far more prominent that while I still do enjoy it a great deal what holds my loyalty is the community, not the show (though I would still watch it regardless). What really matters though is what do you want? If you don't really enjoy the show and the fandom and are just here to keep in contact with friends or a community then maybe I could think of you as a "bandwagon" brony but I wouldn't say you weren't one because that would start to dip into the No True Scotsman Fallacy. Your level of dedication is irrelevant, being a brony doesn't have to be some huge highlight of your life, it could just be a footnote and anyone who says otherwise, that you're not a "real" brony because you lack their standard for dedication is just exhibiting elitism and honestly being a bit silly. So sit back, relax, enjoy the crazy ride this fandom is. If of course that's your cup of tea.
