Sweet Celestia, it's worse than I thought.
As I feared, again, I'm having troubles booting the PC.
I unplugged both HDDs and I still cannot go past the post screen. ...It must be the system drive failing.
That one will be trickier to swap.
The timing though, it would be acceptable a year ago or something. That drive is quite old, has only ~250GB, so I was planning to replace it someday... Was planning to buy a new PC in general at that point.
But now? When I need it the most? See, that's just my luck, I knew everything will go south the moment I become jobless. It surely waited for that moment for maximum emotional damage bonus.
I'll have to sacrifice some of my savings, because without PC I may as well just give up on life heh.
Time to search for a replacement! The thing I worry about more is the time it may take. I may just do a fresh system installation at this point.
I have some important stuff on that drive though.

At least a little bit of good news.
I looked around the BIOS and discovered, that I can boot the system from there. This allows me to ignore the warning for the time being. I don't know how serious the situation is, but this way I can buy at least a little bit of time until the drive completely fails. From now on I'll have to enter BIOS each time, heh.
I was worried my PC is bricked until I can get the replacement, but at least I can somewhat prepare for migration. I managed to narrow down where exactly the problem is, so while I can't say I'm happy with the discovery, I can backup things more accurately.
I don't really want to invest into upgrades for this old PC, but at least the prices for drives aren't that crazy as they used to be these 10 years ago.
Who knows, maybe it's not as critical as it makes it sound, but of course I'll look around the shops and try to find a good deal for a replacement.
