Recently I happened to bump into a polish TV channel, that among some gaming stuff, is airing anime. I knew about its existence, but I didn't really care too much, until recently.
I just happened to bump into it and it hooked me
They're currently airing few anime, but at the moment I'm watching
- Dragon Ball Z Kai (with polish dubbing)
- Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (with polish lektor)
People complain on dubbing or lektor saying, that anime should be with subtitles. Personally I don't mind. As far as TV goes, we poles are used to having lektor - just google Lector in wikipedia and see how it mentions us in particular lol.
I'm not a hardcore weeb, so I'm okay with it, I actually think they've chosen a great lektor for Frieren.
I'm thankful they brought such content to polish television and gave it a dub or lektor. It feels nice having such stuff legit on TV, instead of digging on shady platforms or whatever. It reminds me of the good old days of me watching animated TV shows, before Disney entered the chat and replaced all of it with their bland sitcoms, that took the artistic value from the channels I used to love, which realistically ended the era of watching TV for me, besides occasional movies, that is.
...I digress
What I wanted to say, is that I'm enjoying Frieren. Maybe it's not action packed, but I'm enjoying the slower progression and the slice of life episodes. It's kinda like FiM in that regard. I like it the way it is. It touches the topic of passing time, which is something I'm quite depressed about nowadays to be honest.

I hate the Dub VS Sub debate.
It's full of people who don't know what they are talking about, elitists with impossible and double standards, hypocrisy, and other annoying things to deal with.
So I'll just say, I am glad you are enjoying those shows. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters. But I gotta say...
I find it WILD that some people bring up that debate on an anime based on western culture/mythology/fantasy. You'd think that a dub would actually make it more authentic. That'd be like if the video game Ghost of Tsushima released in Japan, and the Japanese fans reacted by saying "This should not be dubbed in Japanese! It was made in America, it should keep original English dub with subtitles only!". -
Yeah, I totally understand having preferences, but criticizing like this "just because" is kinda meh. I'd understand complaining if they had picked a budget lektor, who'd butcher the atmosphere, but actually, to my surprise, they've picked a decent one, making it feel like watching a legit movie.
Now that you mention it, I've been always wondering if people use the original polish dub with english subtitles when playing the Witcher, or ARE THEY COMMITING CRIMES AND SWITCHING TO ENGLISH DUB? 🔥
🔥 JK, but I'm genuinely curious if people actually play it with the original polish dub.
