I can imagine that. Back when I joined it was pretty clean from what I remember, now some things may have changed. Honestly I was never a fan of logging being handled by Poniverse, as at least on the surface, it generates more problems than solves, based on my observations and experience. It's just my random personal opinion though. Either way, now that you've mentioned that, I guess it's a good time to revisit how making an account looks like. I'll take a look there later.

Yeah, sorry for that mess. Staff is currently trying out features (like clubs), that recently became available to us. Some of the picks came from these tested features, which is why no one could see what's behind these. You're right that these made that feature misleading, especially to newcomers, so I cleaned up the inaccessible-to-users picks. Hmm, I'm afraid one cannot dismiss them. From what I see, this was designed to build up a some sort of gallery of promoted content, so basically new ones should push the older ones out. These picks appeared there recently as well actually, so it all is still being tested for the most part, therefore, all feedback is valuable. It will be good to know if users find it irking.

Adding to what @Silky Bloom said, - fan club threads are just normal topics, where users post images of the character the thread is about and that's it - clubs is a feature similar to blogs. Just like you can create your own blog and have your own corner, one can also have a club (group), which can contain: forums for club members, where topics can be created its own calendar with its own events set by members of the club gallery with images and some other things and clubs aren't limited to being pony fan clubs. For example, hypothetically, there can be a club (group) for musicians. It can have its own forums, where members of the club can post their own topics to discuss various things related to music production and stuff like this. I guess you could compare clubs to a discord server - it has its own members, its own forums (like chat channels) and so on.

It depends on what kind of stuff you'd like to post. Take a look at the forum sections on the home page, and see if you'll find anything that catches your attention. If you'd like to post your works, take a look at the Canterlot Gallery.

Alright, alright, I changed it to say "My Little Pony" in general. These questions should be popping out when creating a topic here, and we were actually planning to change it to say MLP, but things kinda broke there with one of the forum software updates. Until these fields start working again and show during topic creation, in the meanwhile one may or may not choose to copy&paste these into their intro topic, so you're welcomed to modify these questions, add your own, or in general add anything you'd like to say about yourself. It doesn't say these questions are required, and given the feature responsible for asking these is down, we won't blame users for not including these in their topics. Looks like you've got confused while taking your first steps in general, sorry about that. There is indeed that welcome popup for new accounts, that disappears once you do take these first steps, and new accounts need to have their first posts approved, it's just a measure to filter obvious spam. (Posting topics in certain areas might still require approval) That said, everything should be nice now, and if not, I encourage you to share your thoughts in the Feedback forum, ask questions/report problems in Site Questions, or just poke ME or other staffers if you'd like to ask anything.
