  1. hm, probably a bit of the whole "survival on the internet" instincts in work. Plus some women prefer not to advertise to avoid the whole issue of becoming hit on by desperate/socially-unskilled guys.
  2. Well, I disagree with your whole "they don't portray any emotion" statement. My only advise is, watch more anime; there are different art styles, made by different people at different time periods, using different technologies. Saying all of anime does not portray emotion is like saying all of live action is boring; its generalising and is just begging for a Quibble Pants to pop up and throw a list of examples that they feel dispels your theory in a manner that may upset you.

  4. hm, which begs the question; are nudists still modest? Is modesty and chivalry actually rated depending on the situation/environment in which they are practised?
  5. Find an activity to do; wither house work, yard work, wikia work, etc. Of course loneliness still hits sometimes. May have to get a pet dog or something to hug....
  6. ...are we talking MLP conventions or comic/videogame/anime/geek conventions in general? Cause I don't think we have any MLP conventions.
  7. You have to remember that a lot of the fashions that stars wear at public ceremonies are actually given to them to wear by fashion businesses as a kind of "product placement" thing. Also, in this day in age the people that get the most attention (and by extension money and popularity) are those that are the most daring/scandalous (without crossing the line) and so "modesty" in the paparazzi-covered world will always be pushed back. As for chivalry; it began to decline when the laws of etiquette became less enforced as everyone was "freed from the rules that chained them in society". As such there is no longer a set guide on how to behave toward one another and thusly act chivalrous. Of course, one could practise the old rules of chivalry but apparently that rubs the stereotypical feminist the wrong way so you can't win. Modesty and Chivalry are not dead, they're just not profitable or PC enough to be enforced any more.
  8. Never have. Wish they would though but I guess expecting a mare to actually initiate is too much of a fantasy. (pardon my sour apples) The problem seems to be that stallions are expected to initiate a first encounter and so they attempt to through a small show (usually through a one liner or some kind of joke because they are actually nervous as all heck). However, if this goes the wrong way (eg. the mare finds him unattractive or if she's just not in the mood) it can be classified as harassment and all manner of bad things and (worst case scenario) the stallion get's arrested/fired/etc. Due to this threat the "good guys" don't initiate as much any more because the risk is too big, meanwhile the mares are wondering why none of the good guys pay them any attention.... Of course, then you have the socially unlearned, slimes and such that don't known or don't care about the risks and they do it all the time.... Can't win. Maybe the mares should initiate? When was the last time you heard of a stallion filing a harassment charge against a mare?
  9. .....isn't the layer just short of the core liquid rock? I get what you're actually saying (an interworld like Skartaris in DC comics) but doesn't this technically mean it's hollow? It's just occupied by liquid.
  10. Unfortunately no. Wish I did but tbh I'm getting kinda tired of doing all the chasing and the attitudes of the mares not developing beyond grade school.
