I answered Other because of my great grandparents(whom I miss very very much). They were both born in 1910 and 1913 and they died in 2009 and 2006. I miss them very much. Anyways, they called any drink with sugar in it "Elixir". Why you ask? Well many sugary drinks started out as a medicine or aliment to such diseases and they didn't have any sugar in them at all. An example would be Coca-Cola which was invented in 1886 and it had real cocaine in it(hence the name "coca" cola). The inventor John Pemberton, who was a pharmacist invented it to battle his morphine addiction. He died in 1891 unfortunately and a man named Asa Griggs Candler took the business over to save it and he sold the drink as a drug to cure many many things including low sexual libido. It wasn't until 1898 in a court case that Coca-cola was forced to no longer be sold as a drug due to it being proven to cure nothing and instead it made its buyers become addicted to the drink due to the cocaine in it. In 1903 Cocaine was removed from the drink. And ever since then Coca-Cola has been sold as a beverage. And for the old folks they called it Elixor. Not pop or soda or drink or stuff like that. I call it Elixir too lol Anyways from all of that and my Coca-Cola facts, that's why my great grandparents called every sugary drink "elixir". They also called the refrigerator an "icebox" because refrigerators didn't have compressors until 1916. Before that, they were cooled using ice blocks. Ever heard of the word "iceman"? Those were the guys that took the ice upstairs to the refrigerators to cool them. My great grandpa was actually an iceman when he was alive and I have his ice tongs. I miss them. Anyways, that's why I chose "other". Elixir is what I call sugary drinks lol and that's why. lol

My favorite types of music would have to be Classic Country and Bluegrass. Artists like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Stringbean, Grandpa Jones, Flatt and Scruggs, Hank Williams 1, 2, and 3, The Osborne Brothers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, and many more legendary artists. Those all would have to be my favorite artists. What about you though? What's your favorite type of music? Tell me some of your favorite artists that sing your music type.

The Equestrian Brony posted a topic in Media Discussion
I'm just curious. I've been playing a lot of it here recently and I like it. I've been to pony servers too and I've played on them too. I was just wondering if anyone here on MLP Forums plays Garry's Mod. -

The Equestrian Brony replied to The Equestrian Brony's topic in General Discussion

general Can you speak/understand/spell another language besides English?
The Equestrian Brony replied to The Equestrian Brony's topic in General Discussion
Well, I'm using Google Chrome. It's an extension that I downloaded. Here's the link. It's very good. It does very good with any language. You should use it. It's called IM Translator. It does better than Google Translate by a hack of a lot more. lol https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/imtranslator-translator-d/noaijdpnepcgjemiklgfkcfbkokogabh?hl=en-US -

Pourriez-vous me comprendre? C'est en français, savez-vous ce qu'il dit? I wanted to learn Spanish, but I never got around to it. I'll use a translator to make a Spanish sentence for you and see if you can understand it lol El gato saltó alto, saltó muy lejos. El gato es negro y meows. I have no clue if I got the sentence to imply a male cat, but I don't know how to do that. I know that people, places, and things need to be established as masculine, feminine, or neutral. French is this way too and Italian. ¿Español? Lol Me gustaría haber aprendido eso! (I use a translator for that. I have no clue how to speak Spanish.lol) -
Opinions on/got any tattoos or piercings?
The Equestrian Brony replied to Onylex's topic in General Discussion
I have no piercings or tattoos. I don't want to ruin my skin and I don't want to poke holes in my skin. At the most I will have a ring or necklace, but nothing that pokes me or stains my skin. I don't really like tattoos very much but I don't care if someone has them. They look pretty but I don't want to have them on me and stand out. The same goes with piercings; you tend to stand out among everyone, and I don't want that. So no piercings or tattoos for me. -

general Can you speak/understand/spell another language besides English?

Here are the languages I can understand. I ordered them from least known, to most known: Hungarian(I can barely understand it, I don't know much of it and I can't speak it) Russian(I can sort of recognize the words, but I don't know it very well. I can't speak it) Polish(I can't speak it but I can understand the writing and the grammar) Italian(I can speak and understand it pretty well. I'm a little off in speaking it.) French(I can speak and understand it very well. You would mistake me for a native to France XD) English(of course I can understand this. It's my native language. No trouble what-so-ever) (Hungarian) Milyen nyelveket ismersz? (I had to google some of the words, but I think that's how you spell it) (Russian) Какие языки вы знаете?(I think I wrote that right) (Polish) Jakie znasz języki? (Italian) Che lingue conosci? (French) Quelles langues connaissez-vous? (English) What languages do you know? BTW, I learned these from Rosetta Stone. It was expensive but worth it! I'm very proud of my accomplishments lol -
general If you had the choice, what time period would you chose to be born in?
The Equestrian Brony replied to The Equestrian Brony's topic in General Discussion
Well I mean he's not a bad guy. He's ok. It's just that if you mention him in London people will laugh at you except maybe a few. They won't be mad, but they'll just giggle. In Ireland though no one hates him. I like Ireland, everyone there just knows how to have fun XD. I live in Scotland though. Not everyone hates him. London just seems to be the stuck up ones in this situation. I don't really know how I feel about Trump though. good/bad, who knows. -

general If you had the choice, what time period would you chose to be born in?
The Equestrian Brony posted a topic in General Discussion
I think if I had the choice, I would prefer to be born in Medieval England sometime between 800 and 1000 A.D. That way I could fight for the King and kill people lol. Or I could join the Vikings and go around and pillage villages and such. What about you though? What time period would you choose? -
I didn't know that the Romans did that sort of stuff. I doesn't surprise me though. The Romans were cruel. But I am glad for hospitals build by Christians too. I actually went to a Christian hospital when I was little. I had Pneumococcal meningitis and I was going to die from it if I didn't get cured. Thankfully I did.

huh... That does make pretty good sense actually. I never thought of it that way. I was always also told that Muhammad and Jesus were buddies at one time, and I knew that the Quran and the Bible sort of were related. But growing up, I followed the Bible because I had to. Everyone in my family is very very Christian. It's almost laughable really. Every paycheck they get they preyed, every meal they get, they preyed. Literally anything they preyed about. Mainly that's one of the reasons why I'm not a Christian anymore. I got tired of praying to nothing with no results, and I was alienating myself from other people. More or less I remembered the 10 commandments and I avoid the 7 deadly sins. Everything else I forgot about or I didn't read it. I'm just glad I didn't submerge myself in Christianity too far. So yea, I'm pretty much an atheist. But I won't disrespect others for being Christian, or any other religion. It's just interesting to me when people talk about religion. lol
-
That's a lot to read lol. You know more about the Muslim faith than I do about the Christian faith (or at least when I used to be into that stuff). Too bad I never really payed attention to the preacher. lol Also, why is Christianity the black sheep of the other religions? I'm not a Christian anymore, so it wont bother me really for what you think about them. I'm actually more interested in knowing what you think about it. I'm curious really. I like hearing other open opinions about stuff like Religion lol

Do You Believe in Paranormal Activities
The Equestrian Brony replied to An Unknown Pony.'s topic in General Discussion
I believe in ghosts. I haven't experienced any paranormal things, but I know other people who have. They'r real. -
I'm a full-blooded atheist. I was a Christian a long time ago, but I just stopped going to church because I got bored and the religion got old to me. That, and the Bible says that you should be good and this and that. And I am mostly, and I have manners and respect, but people constantly surrendering themselves and crying and such for an imaginary person sort of makes me laugh. I was never really touched by the preacher when I did go to church. I got the meanings if you subtracted the religious crap. Be good, don't steal, don't kill, don't do adultery. etc. Pretty much though, you can look at the law and figure that stuff out. It's common sense. It also made it very pointless to go if those same people that went to church turned out to be bad the whole week, but on Sunday they pretended to be good. It just made no sense to me that half of those people were lying, so I just stopped going. I did get the memo though. You put your money in the basket that went around and you listened what the Preacher said. I would usually fall asleep the whole time or I would almost be at that point, and then I would struggle to drive home being sleepy while it was still 12 AM on a Sunday when I could be doing something else constructive like mowing the lawn or working on the house. It just never seemed to grasp me going to church like everyone else says it did. I already knew the basics of the Bible. I imagine though, that other people would disagree with me, but I don't really care. I believe what I believe. But yea, I'm an Atheist. Religion is pretty pointless to me. I just kind of forgot about it through the years and I don't really find a need for it anymore. If I die then I guess oh well. I'm not going anywhere anyways. :/

Are you related to anyone famous?
The Equestrian Brony replied to The Equestrian Brony's topic in General Discussion
Wait, wasn't he from ancient China? What dynasty? The Qin dynasty I guess? Sorry, I haven't researched him yet and I'm just going from assumption lol. John Hancock had the biggest signature on the Deceleration of Independence because he was the president of the Continental Congress. It's cool that you are related to him though! -

The Equestrian Brony replied to The Equestrian Brony's topic in General Discussion
My mom loves Elvis. I have plenty and plenty of his records. I have a few signed ones from him too. I bet they're worth a few thousand by now. An old lady who let me buy her record collection didn't know those signed records were in there. lol -
I was on ancestry.com and WikiTree.com and I found out that I was related to King Henry I, Charlemagne, President William McKinley, and William the Coqueror which is amazing! Are you related to anyone famous?

Me personally, I enjoy the fandom and the cute little ponies and how well they're drawn out. I like how each character is with their personalities and I enjoy how dynamic the show is and how it grabs your emotions with each episode. It could go from a character messing up really badly and you feel bad for them, to them fixing it all and you feel good about them. I also like the animation and the story line too, which is why I like the show. I'm also a Brony because I'm proud to be different and I simply just love My Little pony. It's a show I never thought I'd see myself liking, but I like it now and I've been a Brony since 2014 and still going strong I love it! About about you guys though? Why do you like My Little Pony and why are you a Brony/Pegasister?
