    @KlutsyDraconequus @ScrewLoose,@@AuroraMLP, ((Ohhhh, this is actually a great test for the fighting mechanic against an actual enemy! It also gives our little group a bigger reason to go into the Everfree.. Maybe the changeling came from there? Who knows, just putting out some ideas.))

    @AuroraMLP, @ScrewLoose, @KlutsyDraconequus Mirage looked at the beaten pegasus speechlessly wondering why in the world this would happen. As long as he had known the bar keep, he wasn't too rude.. He did get a bit picky when loans were brought up, but other then that nothing ever made him mad enough to beat ponies. The griffon looked at the poor pegasus, confused. "You just asked if you could use a loan, and he attacked you?" He asked, not sure what could be wrong. "I'll go talk to him and see what could be the problem. Maybe.. he's just having a bad day?" Mirage said nervously, unsure of himself.

      Hmm... That would be a cool thread. Maybe it could be a sort of art thingie, where people post pictures, then at the end of the week, you pick your personal favorite, as well as tally the numbers on the frequency that different ponies were posted.

       

      For me at least, I don't have a specific "best pony," but frequently I will give that status to the cutest pony I have seen recently. (Usually a background pony, actually.)

      Meh, I think we do that already with all the fanclubs, Aurora. Seen a few tally them all up against each other. If you just ask everyone to do everything that first comes to mind, then it'll get a big confusing.

      Well, thanks a ton about the Profile Pic. The Equestrian Empire thing is just a bit more canon based, and they have more strict OC requirements, meaning someone has to verify that your OC is good enough to RP. I can't wait to get roleplaying there!

      Nice! Since my OC is an earth pony, that pretty much means I can't get into the Equestrian Empire. Mostly because nothing about them is canon. (And what is canon isn't always recognized as such by the admins here.) I mean, I could be a baker or something, but... I have too much to do already.

       

      Between fanfiction writing, running the tabletop roleplaying game, developing the roleplaying system, drawing, vectoring, trying to make music for the Ponymon ROM hack, AND college...

    I'm writing a story, yayyyyy. I've only got one chapter down, and it's about 1,500 words. I'd say that's good for starters. Let's see if I can pull this author thing off, eh?

    @AuroraMLP, @ProbablyNotLyra , @ScrewLoose Mirage gave a small laugh, shaking his head. "You're not the winner of anything yet!" He said to Rain, walking up to the dart board. He turned to the new pegasus and pointed out the bartender. "Go ask him for a drink, I'll give you the bits." He throw the pegasus he had offered a drink three bits, enough for a water or cider. Mirage gave 3 bits: Remainder 54 "I've got a game of darts I'm got to win!" The griffon declared grandly, grabbing a dart and lining up his shot. Throw 1: 4 and 4 Throw 2: 15 and 3 Throw 3: 7 and 1

    @AuroraMLP, @ProbablyNotLyra , @ScrewLoose Mirage turned to face the weary pegasus that had entered. The griffons looked at him curiously. The poor thing looked like he had crossed the entire desert! He turned back to Aurora, excusing himself. "I'm gonna go check on that new guy that just came in. He seems like he could use a hand." He told her, gesturing to the tired looking pony that had come into the inn. Mirage walked over, introducing himself and leading the pony to the bar to sit down. "Hey there new guy. I'm Mirage, the resident griffon of Appleoosa. You look pretty worn out, want a drink?" The griffon told the pegasus while smiling politely.

    Well, I'm gonna try and write a story in the "The Last of Us" style MLP universe. No, it won't be from Joel and Ellie's point of view, or from any big character in the games point of view. It'll be completely original characters, and their experiences and stories as they go through and witness Joel and Ellie's travels. It's my first time writing a story/book thing, so I'm looking for a bit of helpful critique. It's still a work in progress, but I'm trying to do something I think will be really cool and special. You can find the story, or at least the very first part, here Ya, I know, no actual chapters yet. I'm working on it!

    @@KlutsyDraconequus, @AuroraMLP Watching the game intently, he saw the pegasi's luck and Aurora's bad luck. He tried to psyche himself up for his turn, hoping he could do well. "You want to go next, Prisma?" He asked the unicorn, still a tad nervous to actually try the game

    "Hm, sounds pretty fun, if hard." The griffon replied, liking the idea. He turned to Aurora, giving her a confused look. "However.. How do you plan on throwing the dart with your hoof? No offense, but you don't really have anything to grip it with.." He trailed off, afraid of somehow offending her. (You've got this, AuroraMLP ! I believe in you! yay! But seriously, good luck with all the calculation.)

    Mirage turned to look at Aurora and Prisma, while grinning slightly. Huh.. This could be fun. He then looked at the pegasus. "Well, first off, what exactly is throwing darts?" He questioned, an embarrassed look settling over his face. He had never heard of this, never having time for many games in his homeland. He considered the board and darts, but had no idea what one would do with them, beyond actually throwing the darts at the board. But that was too simple to be the answer, right?

    The griffon shrugged his shoulders and pointed a claw at the other two ponies. "Honestly, I don't know. I'm with them, and they plan on heading somewhere tomorrow, and I'm gonna tag along. Ya know, adventure, action, romance. All that good stuff. It's practically like a page from a story. It'll be great." He grinned at the pegasus, showing his excitement. "Speaking of adventure, I was wondering if you'd like to join us. A pegasus would be really useful to have along." He told her, smiling hopefully.

    "So, just happened to come here with.. the birds?" He looked slightly confused, wondering if maybe this mare was a few cards short of a full deck. He smiled politely, hoping she wasn't just some crazy pony. "That sounds interesting. So, what do you plan on doing here in this little desert town?" He asked, wondering if she was just going to leave soon, or stay longer.

    "I'm Mirage, and these are my new friends." He gestured towards the green earth pony and seafoam green unicorn, who replied with their names respectively. "It's nice to meet you, Rain. What brings you out here to, *ahem* AaaaAApleooosa!" Said the griffon, giving a bad impression of Braeburn's famous introduction he gave to big crowds of tourists.

    The griffon shrugged, shaking his head. "No, not really. We're a small town that just sells apples. Not much to visit out here." Mirage stopped and turned to look at the pegasus again, before turning back to Aurora. "You know.. A pegasus might be good at have on our trip. I can fly, but pegasi are faster and more agile up there. If she's here, she must not have much else going on anyway. You think you could take another pony into your little party?"

    Mirage noticed Prisma look at something, so he turned as well to see a pegasus walk in. More tourists, huh? Certainly a busy day for this town. He looked back at the unicorn and asked, "Do you know her?" He gestured to the winged pony who had just entered, and was now eating an apple.

    Mirage sat and thought for a second, then seemed to decide something. "Well, If you want my advice, the ruins in the Everfree sound like a great place to explore. I heard something about them being the Princesses old castle, so who knows what kind of fancy things are still there? Of course, the Everfree is supposed to be the most dangerous forest in Equestria.. Crazy plants, and strange animals. I've heard of this one plant that just plays pranks on you if you walk into it." He scratched his head thoughtfully. "That does sound a bit silly though. Maybe it's not so dangerous, and ponies just exaggerate." He shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well. Anyway, if you two are looking for a place to stay the night, there's always this place." He gestured around himself at the inn and store mix. "Not the most comfy place, but much better then sleeping in the dirt. Speaking of that, I've got a place a little outside town, if you would rather spend the night there. Your choice." Mirage took a sip of his cider, and waited for their response.

    Mirage grimaced at the idea of eating grass, and turned a little green at the mention of seaweed. While his diet wasn't only meat, he definitely didn't want to resort to eating any of that stuff. Pulling an apple from his saddlebags, he carved a tiny smile into it and set it on the table. "How about we all agree apples are the best?" He said, smiling as well. "Speaking of apples, I know where you can stock up on some for our trip, provided you want them. Appleoosa really doesn't have to much besides apples, hence 'Apple'oosa." He shrugged his shoulders and put the apple back into his bag. "Even if they really only have on thing, they make some good stuff with it. Apple pie, apple cider, apple jelly, apple cobbler, apple strudels, caramel apples..." He listed off all the apple related things to get, counting on his claws.

    The griffon looked back at the door, outside. He sighed softly and turned to face them again. "No, you wouldn't be dragging me away. Truth is, I always planned to leave sooner or later. Guess I just didn't know when I should. This seems like a good time, though." He waved his hand in the air, saying "Besides, I couldn't let two lovely mares like yourselves get hurt out there, could I? That would be just plain rude." He grinned at them both. "So, when do you two plan on heading out?" He asked, wondering if they where staying for a few days or just the night.

    "The Everfree and Badlands, huh? Those places are a bit dangerous.." He sized up the two ponies, not seeing much in the way of weapons or protection. "No offense, but you two don't look exactly... Threatening." Mirage said, grinning slightly while gesturing at there simple saddlebags and lack of obvious weaponry. "Well, if you wouldn't mind me coming, I'd be happy to travel with you. I've kinda been stuck here in Appleoosa ever since arriving, and I've only ever seen a few other big cities. Getting out and travelling would be fun. And I'm pretty sure I could do a decent job giving you some protection from any nasty things from the Everfree or the Badlands. How tough could they be?" He smiled wide, showing confidence. And I wouldn't mind getting to know Prisma more..
