You know, the typical.  Actually I have to call the engineer back...so, here goes.

*sighs* I know it well.

After 2 weeks of calls and reaching their [our ISP] regional chief. "Check if it's working now, please. Yes? Fine then. No, we were not blocking anything..." *facehoofs* (the morons were blocking port 21 for mine home connection (FTP protocol)).

@Alexshy lol That's so common. Thou hast a bigger heart than mine to remain in that field. I fled it back in October, and although I still work in the technical field, I'm not nearly deep in the trenches...and trenches they are, for literally the battle is fought on many fronts.
