If any of you are a whovian, and are currently enjoying series 11 of Doctor Who, here's a thread where you can talk about what is going on with the episodes. -
Just thought I'd share the character sheet for my main OC (since I created it back in late June).

*Please read*
I feel like I have to let you guys know what's going on with me right now. I very nearly had a stress induced panic/anxiety attack this past Wednesday Night. Last week was by far the longest, hardest week I've had at the University ever, with 3 different exams and a paper to do at the exact same time. Don't worry, I'm doing much better now, and I'm significantly less stressed now than I was just a few days ago.

Reviews of the two new episodes that aired this morning (possible spoilers)
A matter of Principals
This episode was a big throwback to the episodes where Discord was way more choatic. I did enjoy the fact that they had him this way, being a pain in the side of Starlight. It had a good pace to it. Writing could have been better. I did enjoy the cameos by several characters from earlier in the series. Towards the end of the episode, we have a lot of new shipping/paring fuel. By the ending, Discord's antics had grown a bit... old. But I thought it was a pretty good episode overall, despite Discord being a bit over the top at times.
Grade: 7.8/10 C+
Hearths Warming Club
This episode was another episode that featured Hearths Warming Eve as its theme, Following "Hearths Warming Eve" in season 2 and "A Hearths Warming Tail" in season 6. The cold open featured a good pace, along with a twist to the plot for this episode. The first act was a bit faster paced. Going into the second act, the cute stories that that most of them told were adorable, some were a bit silly. This gave a nice variety of traditions that each do for their end of year holidays. A sad story was told by Gallus, and the truth then came out. This gave the episode a great ending. Yet another great Hearths Warming Eve episode, albeit a bit rushed toward the end.
Grade: 9/10 A-
Next new episode: Friendship University, August 11th-
I liked "A Matter of Principals" for its humor, though Discord was a little too mean by recent standards (especially considering that he put a group of kids in danger). "Hearth's Warming Club" was wonderful – poor Gallus... I'll probably have to rewatch it closer to Christmas, though – I'm sure I'll like it even more then (August isn't the best time to air Christmas episodes).
And an addition: this was the fourth Hearth's Warming episode – "Hearthbreakers" in season 5 was the second one.
-
@Tacodidra *facehoof* I forgot about Hearthsbreakers (probably because it's one of my least favorite episodes). The humor was a bit much from Discord this time around, not to mention a bit... creepy at the end. I thought "Hearths Warming club was the best of the two, mainly for the cute stories that each of the 5 that told them. The story that Gallus told made me tear up a bit. Like you, I'll have to rewatch it around Christmas time.

A review of "On the Road to Friendship"
This was a pretty good episode. I love the cold opening with a bunch of the main characters being featured, along with a pony that's from Saddle Arabia. It was definitely a buddy episode that featured Starlight and Trixie, with a good opening segment that featured a song akin to the "on the road" episodes of Family Guy. There was a whole bunch of callbacks throughout the entire episode, referencing areas that the ponies have been, including Sonambula's hometown. Of course, there would be a fight between the two, and they would end up making up.
Overall, this was a good episode. Featuring a duo like Starlight and Trixie (finally) was definitely worth the time watching this episode. Plus, that song is a total earworm. My grade: 8.8/10 B+
Next new US episode: "The Washouts", September 8th
-
I loved this one! Starlight and Trixie episodes are always great and this was definitely no exception! The chemistry of those two is so great, whether it's about comedy or more emotional moments (this one had more of the former). I just wish we saw more of them (season 8 didn't have much Trixie compared to season 7).

A review of Friendship University
This episode started off well enough with the return of Starswirl and Cozy Glow. It started going down hill when the "Friendship University" was established in Los Pegasus. It then featured returns of the scammer ponies Flim and Flam and speciesist Neighsay. That right there basically ruined this episode for me. The episode then featured a typical Flim and Flam style song seen in every episode that they've been in. It felt a bit rushed in the end, as if the writers of the episode almost forgot to wrap it up. There was a good ending of the episode.
Overall, this episode was a bit fast paced, pared with a few funny moments and with returns of characters that didn't need to return.
Grade: 7.7/10 C
Next new episode: The End in friend August 18th
Note: I will probably watch this early later this week.- Show previous comments 3 more

@Tacodidra As @CypherHoof the Reblanked mentioned, This could very well be one of the staging episodes for the season finale. I didn't care for it mainly due to the speciesiest Neighsay returning.

First week off since Janurary and I feel like I"m not really off. Did improve my GPA through, so I'm happy with that. As with every other time I've taken summer classes, gotta jump through hoops to get said class.
BTW @Duality, thanks for the rain on Monday and Tuesday.

I can't believe it's already been 1 year since I joined this place. SOOOO Glad I did. And don't worry, i'm not going anywhere, just been busy as of late.
Also, i'm tired of rain. After seeing 7 1/2 inches of it in 48 hours, we don't need any more here.
