    I would love to be able buy one of these cameras for planetary imaging. Sucks they cost as much as a new car, even used ones if any can be found. :dry:

      I looked at their website and they don't even show the prices, which is quite telling... :adorkable: Quite incredible that such a small camera costs so much... :o

      @Tacolantern, there's a couple used ones on ebay. Take your blood pressure meds tho, before looking at the prices! :sealed:

      I know why they're expensive. It's the sensor material (InGaAs) and low demand. Consumer cameras are silicon based. Silicon is way cheaper but it's transparency beyond Near IR makes it useless for shortwave and thermal IR.
