Your own little safe space can be the happiest place on Earth if you allow it to be. But Disney feels incredibly gentle and engaging when you go. Everyone is friendly, staff is always smiling. There is always some kind of wholesome shenanigans or ride to go into. Always family and children excited about something or happy people in general enjoying their vacation. Marriages, proposals, etc. So, people tend to look quite happy or ready to feel happy since they know they're on vacation and everyone is under some general consensus to "have a good time!" But "The Happiest Place On Earth" is quite a large claim. Everyone's definition of happiness is different and it is possible to go to Disney and be sad. And that is okay. No one should be forced to be happy through expectation. What is good is that you can relax and there are no bills, stresses, average day issues, etc. The planning can be stressful, though! Forum friends are literally planning one right now and I am like.... o.o;;

I cannot tell you how many people have shared such a similar experience. It makes me smile when the outcome is of a more positive nature. But makes me sad when I imagine the fear and shock they initially go through. Poor darlings. This one has been a tough one to balance for me. I've given a lot of people who seem shy A TON of space because, I want them to feel safe in the long run... but everyone is different. Some people ask for the space and expect you to give it, and some people ask for the space but look at you from afar, longing for you to reach out and tell them they don't have to hide, then feel forgotten when you respect their space and take it to mean that you do not care. So, I always find myself trying to find new way to make shy ponies come out on their own or take initiative or let me know they're ready to interact. But everyone is just far too different and it takes a long long time. This pony over here joined two years ago and he has been such a blessing ever since. So, it was worth the wait.

This one right here really got me. As an Admin observing many community activities, as much as we try to offer kindness and support from the outside -- it isn't until the person accepts themselves on the inside or loves themselves to some degree that the kindness and support truly come into full effect. This was a really inspirational blog post, Comander. I love this feeling. I am happy that you found a friend despite your expectations. Even better than you? Hmm... not sure but it definitely shows you have a lot of respect for him and that tells me that having a friend of such a high regard means you know you're worthy of being friends with someone you see as better than you and that is very healthy! Now you have come so far and I am very proud of you. I hope more people who are too shy (and wanting to overcome that shyness to connect more) can be more like you and realize there is so much more to them than just hiding. Haha, so I know Australia is ahead of us by like a day -- since it's upside down land and all of that -- so I did a sneaky sneak a day prior (yesterday) for a "pinch and a punch" for the first of the month to my friend @Aticus the Adequate (It's an Australian thing) and it was sooo good. He did not expect my message when he checked his phone and saw the deed had been done. Bwahahah! I have won this! Even though I am a day behind Aticus. Also, a good excuse to message you. I know you're out there slaying it with your style! But I miss talking to you more, friend.

I really like this questions!! So, I never got around to watching the series but my lovely friend @Sir Hugsalot has been trying to get me into it since forever! My actual element is water but I have always been attracted to air. The light-hearted, fluffy, no heavy weight manner in which the air element just flies off into the sunset to enjoy things. I think airbender would be quite enjoyable for me.

I get this a lot. Especially when all other places are so heavily inundated with that stuff. Why do they act like MLPF also needs to have it? It's not like the internet is starved from it. We used to have a place called "The Debate Pit" right in the public eye and it caused so much senseless conflict, heavy drinking, betrayal, petty taunts and the only people who stuck around for it were of the most toxic, exhausting kind -- who later blamed and whined that they "mysteriously" lost friendships. "King George with them all!" Thank youuu yeah we had a lot of fun with this one. O my gosh, that has got to be the true easter egg behind my "King George III" nickname (apart from sending people away to better lands for 'politics.') There are so many hidden wholesome friendships on these forums. It's not shown in the public or shown off -- maybe to not make other people feel bad? But I'm always happy to keep that cultivated and preserved.

Many stood silent and expected me to stand up and so I had to take the hits as "the only one who was not happy about it," when I am only speaking on behalf of the groups which were divided and hurt. Please know Moderation will always have your back if anyone ever feels too shy to say anything. You know it. Let's make history and legends together! Yes. And I have learned that the pursuit of happiness is a journey. It does not mean ignoring the dark or the bad -- but working together to get through the dark clouds and find the rainbows together. We all need it. So why not work together to achieve it? Rather than shove each other into the dark clouds with blame and anger. Goodness, nobody wins there. And I've seen it. They almost started off as enemies from the collateral damage that hit us in division of politics but later realised that things are a little more nuanced and that their journey in life is a lot more similar than any ephemeral illusions could convinced them of. *offers a soft, royal smile of approval* @Avery and @Clawdeen may your friend ship be blessed, may it bloom through any or all challenges and serve as a perfect example of how connections go beyond silly labels of this distracting, physical world. I went from being heartbroken to seeing the warmth restored to my heart from everyone pitching in to be involved and help. So long as all of you are safe, growing or blooming -- not getting lost in the darkest parts of our own minds -- I can safely step away and know that things are in good hands. Again, you guys are making me emotional. This is what my return to MLPForums was all about to begin with. Timeless friendships, community and growing together.
