    Hm, well i guess i can show off a few backgrounds ive done in the past to see what you think of them, most of these the background wasnt really the focus so could probably put a fair bit more detail into something new.

    Guess would depend the sort of detail your after, I do vectors but my style is a bit simplistic if your looking for something more detailed

    Gave this as a little quick try at her, went a bit literal with her cutie mark but think its cute, could try some more stuff if you like it

    Hmm, and I assume shes still going to be a robot. Just as a heads up its a fair bit harder to make a bunch of poses and facial expressions outside a pony creator which arnt going to be robust enough to give you much close to what your after with this, so an artist is going to have to make em each separately which could be tricky to find one willing to do a whole ton for free. I find this interesting so might try like a few, not sure quite how many your hoping for.

    As a side note, I never seen this before but digging into it it looks pretty rad. Anyway, think you can be a little more specific cause your phrasing is a bit confusing. Are you wanting a human or pony version of this? by "pony creator" do you just mean that sort of vector style?

    Thats fine, idea for the creators isnt to get a final design, just a base to start with. Sounds like you got an idea of where you want them to go, so iron out a few descriptions details and you could probably put together a nice framework.

    Depends the way you want to approach it, either from the top down or the bottom up If you want to start with a design and build their characteristics around them, a basic place to start is with a pony creator, Pony Town is a recent one that give you a basic pony maker to try and make a basic outline of what you might like them to look like, and then sorta build their characteristics around that design. If you want to approach it from the other end you would want to sorta figure out some basics their personality or character traits, thing like what they do, their special talents, and other such things, then you can more easily build a design to fit that.

    I tried a bunch of tweaks to the gem idea but nothing i did i felt fit as a cutie mark well. After a bunch of tinkering and throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks i came up with this idea i like Looks a lot more mysticy i think, still plenty of thanks for all replies for getting my creative juices flowing

    Gave the gem look a try though looking at it on Phantom himself it feels like it stands out a bit much, maybe too complex, looks neat though

    So as a brief history, my OC`s cutiemark has remained basically unchanged since way back when I first designed him when i was first getting into the fandom, even though a lot of the rest of him got some tweaks This is my first real art of him And this is the most recent. I feel hair and stuff has become a lot better but part of me feels like the cutie mark is a bit lacking. Its meant to be a sort of magic symbol or rune, essentially something representing his talent in studying/practicing magic but thats a bit hard to make out at a glance. I want to try and spruce it up or tweak it a bit but possibly keep some of the elements of the original and im not too sure how to approach it so looking for ideas, suggestions, redraws, or anything else that might help out. Maybe a good new design would persuade me to change it completely or perhaps some of you might think its fine as is. All input welcomed.
