Ouch, sorry you had to go through this. Seeing such scam happening makes my blood boil. Thank Celestia you didn't send them money, and I'm glad you managed to retrieve your account in the end.
I myself got such message in the past:
(Now their name says "Timothy [Support]" because it was changed, but back then it was my friend's account, that got hacked)
I called them out right away and they blocked me lmao
Just a friendly reminder to everyone:
On Discord and anywhere else (be it YouTube, MLPF, etc. etc.),
Don't EVER change email address to an address someone gave you
- The moment you put the email address they want, they can use the "forgot password" option and reset your account's password using the mail they get on their address - that's when you're already in trouble

Real Staff CAN adjust your account credentials on their end, without having you to do anything. So, if someone asks you to change an address to something they want, it's because they're nothing but doo doo scammers with no powers, NOT staff.
- Same applies to MLPF. We will never ask anyone to change their email or password to something we want in order to let us "borrow" their account for one reason or another. We will never ask for such information either.
And of course, be wary of the links and QR Codes someone sends you. In such scenarios, they might link a fake site, that looks like real, asking you to log in. Doing so will give away your info, that they'll use to get your account.

Update: Just letting everypony know, I did email Discord Support, they gave me my account back, and now everything is back to normal.

All Hallows' Day has been celebrated in Finland (traditionally a Lutheran country) for centuries, but it's been a serious holiday for remembering the dead. When I was little, it was mostly in Donald Duck comics and American TV shows that I saw Halloween-related stuff, but it's getting more common now.
