Are there any episodes of MLP you hate?
Midnight Insight replied to Alex Z's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Hate is such a heavy word, but... A Dog and Pony show: It starts with Rarity enslaving Spike in a gem mine, taking advantage of him because she knows he loves her. Remember that Spike is a baby dragon. I know spike is hit and belittled in many circumstances, but it's usually done in a cartoonish way to keep the show easy to watch. But in A Dog and Pony show, The fact that Rarity is blackmailing Spike in a suggestive way is actually a deliberated part of the plot, not just a sidekick joke to mantain the attention. Then, in Dragon Dropped, Rarity continues that abusive behavior toward Spike when she sees that he starts loosing interest in her... That episode just makes me feel bad. -

Hi Koxufoxu, welcome to the Forums! I have the same feeling . I started (and finished) watching MLP:FiM in December. I thought I had joined when the party was already over, but there are plenty of good people here making this a special place. See you around!

Robin Williams, who actually saw that Thembobic and Peritaseus got along better than it seemed. Statistically, what part of a car breaks most frequently? -
How do you flavour your tea/coffee?
Midnight Insight replied to Slumberlumber's topic in General Discussion
If coffee is natural and good, I like it with some milk at 60ºC (140ºF). That makes the milk sweet enough that it doesn't need sugar, and also adds a bit of creamy flavor. Unfortunately, here in Spain there's still a strange habit of serving torrefacto coffee in cafés... In that case, I prefer to pour in ALL the sugar. Torrefacto coffee is regular coffee which has been mixed with sugar and then roasted. That process makes it taste horrible (IMO), and it's banned in many countries for being carcinogenic. I like tea with just water, I absolutely love herbal flavors so much that I'd eat grass If I were sure it wouldn't hurt me. but if it's some spicy variety, I like it with a little milk and sugar. -
Yes, I also got freaked out by the vibes of a ver small part of the comunity back in the days, so I didn't give the show a chance until now. Fortunately, it's not like that anymore. Don't worry, I'm also new in MLPForum (and forums in general), and absolutely everypony I've talked to has been kind and helpful with me. Don't be shy and ask whatever you want! And of course, welcome to the forums!

general What age do you start to feel old?
Midnight Insight replied to Muffinnz's topic in General Discussion
I started feeling old when I turned 18 because I was leagally an adult, but I was wrong. I really started feeling old when I was 20, but how wrong I was there... When I turned 22 and I saw al my friends graduating (except for me), I felt old (and lonely). Then at 25 I thougth "I'm a quarter of a century old" and I felt old. Now I'm about to turn 26, so I thought "I'm more than a quarter of a century old" and I'm feeling old . Jokes aside, I like to think we all have 3 inner selves: A baby, who expresses vital needs (hunger, cold, sleep, etc). A child, who expresses emotional needs (attention, love, hate, boredoom, etc.). And finally an adult, who expresses more complex social skills (faking feelings, responsibility, rationality, emotional intelligence, etc.). Since the baby doesn't even know the concept of being young or old, I focus on the other two: The more I feel identified with the child, the younger I feel: truly feeling the company of friends, embracing the experience of love without control, letting curiosity lead you, being able to stay in the moment; playing, joking, laughing and even hating. The more I feel identified with the adult, the older I feel: schedule tasks, work, social compromises you don't really enjoy, responsibilities, money management, etc... I think watching mlp makes me feel like a child before adult things strike back again; and given the over-rationalization I'm doing here, you might guess how old I feel. But this is just an absurd model I've built in my head to make me think I have control over my own life . -
Hi Adore, have you been writing a fanfic about your AU? Or is the narrative expressed through the status charts? Even though it's a bit too gore for me, it seems interesting. btw, welcome to the forums!

I wonder if the concept of ergonomic mice really works, or if it's just another marketing scam

Would you sell your soul to Devil to find love?
Midnight Insight replied to RainbowMau's topic in General Discussion
I think true love must come naturally. Is it really true if you had to sell your soul for it? Love should add, not subtract; and starting a relationship by giving up your entire essence seems like a terrible idea. That being said, I don't really know what "selling your soul" even means, but if you make your significant other fall in love with an empty shell... that doesn't seems like true love. -
Enjoy the binge watch! I was thinking of telling you about the Canterlot Gallery, but I'm so late at giving you a welcome that I think you actually know it all! Happy stay!

Don't worry about that! I came as a fresh new member in Fluttershy February and the comunity received me with open arms, even though I only saw FiM. That must have felt so special, I kind of envy all of you who grew up with MLP and saw the boom first hand! Welcome to the forums Lynz, have fun!
