A few presentations on youtube use AlexS' glitch remix of the MLP intro for their introduction. The PMV you picked though also looks great. EDIT: I second the awesome trailer posted above. It's freaking EPIC!

Good luck with the whole thing. PMVs are always a good place to start. Got any specific one in mind? Also, is it going to be recorded or anything? I'd love to see how it turns out.

I'd also start by showing them a scene or two from the old series' and then comparing it to the new one. You could then go into explaining what a brony is, why they watch the show and then maybe discuss what stereotypes follow bronies (eg. they're feminine, anto-social etc.) and our beliefs, philosophies and all that. Show them how creative we are by showing them fanart and maybe a few pmvs. I'd definitely bring up one of the many documentaries that are being made (or have been made) about us (Bronycon the documentary, Ballad of the brony, Music is magic). Finally, make it clear that we have a special bond (as fans) with the creators of the show and that they have mentioned us and have done many things just for us. Anyway, that's all I can think of now.... good luck with your presentation!

That's true. Frankly, I don't see Fluttershy using any of those cannons except maybe the toothpaste one (but I'm guessing she makes her animal "friends" brush her teeth for her).

Although I'd love to own all three, I think that the bass cannon has the edge here. I mean, the toothpaste cannon shoots toothpaste at you and the party cannon shoots streamers and confetti whereas the bass cannon destroyed a whole part of the forest! Now that's an epic cannon.

I'm guessing that to answer these questions we assume that ponies irl are normal or that we're in Equestria, right? 1. Depending on why she bit me, either hug her or bite her back. 2. Take it before she pulls the pin! 3. Faint from excitement then hugs when I wake up. Lots and lots of hugs. Then I would wish that they never go back. Then more hugs. ALL the hugs. 4. That would be cool. Maybe a handle bar style or something. 5. CATCH THE SQUIRTLE! Now I have both the mane 6 and a pokemon to keep me company. I'll never need any other friends. 6. Make this face. o.O. Then apply my hand to her face and slowly push her away. Then cringe in the shower after realizing what just happened. 7. I'd actually be the one making her breakfast. Something far better than apples. Fruit Loops! 8. I'd either: a ) get the money and use it to build a gateway to Equestria to obtain ponies or b ) get the ponies and charge $100 or something for a hug or photo with them. Either way, I end up with both. ^^ 9. Install that mod where all the dragons are Fluttershy and watch her reaction. 10. I'd let her of course! I'd snuggle up with her. :3 (No sexy business though) These questions were random. I liked them.

The closest I've gotten to a pony dream was this one time where my friend and I went to this huge store (think Wall-mart but bigger) filled with MLP merchandise. It also was full of bronies and cosplayers and we just spent the whole day there. We bought all this stuff, watched episodes with Lauren Faust (yes, she was there too for some reason) and in the end we had this giant party. I still haven't seen any "proper" pony dreams.

Say there are people that actually think that you're not a brony if you don't buy merchandise (which I have no doubt that there are, despite me not having seen any). There are people like that in every fandom. No exceptions. I'm just saying that we as a community have to be role models for other communities since our community is one of love and kindness (despite the few people mentioned above). Also I've never been to ponychan or 4chan but I know enough about them to know that you shouldn't take these people seriously (at least the 4chaners). Finally, about youtube. Again, there are flame wars about pretty much everything on youtube. You can seldom find a video on youtube these days without some sort of flame war going on. What I've noticed though is that pretty much all MLP related flame wars are between bronies and haters and never between fellow bronies (although some bronies do step in and try to talk some sense into other bronies).

1) Bronies are people who enjoy my little pony and are part of the fandom (eg they know about Derpy, Lyra and all that stuff that people who just watch the show wouldn't get) regardless of age or gender. Female bronies have been given the name "pegasisters" but can (and most of them do) refer to themselves as bronies because in truth, we are all one. 2) There are no "true" bronies. No one is it stated that you must follow a certain philosophy or lifestyle to call yourself a brony although in my opinion bronies (and people in general really) should try to "love and tolerate" others and be kind and caring in general. Also, nowhere have I read anything about this "rite of passage". If people like a show then they might want to buy merchandise to support it. Some people just buy more things than others and some don't buy anything at all. None of these things should stop people from calling themselves bronies. Even if you're in to clopping and the likes, you're still a brony (just with different preferences). To sum up, bronies are supposed to be open minded and non-judgmental (mainly due to the fact that you're a hypocrite if you judge someone for something stupid while you yourself have problems with people teasing you for watching MLP). We're supposed to accept people no matter what views they have about being a brony, no matter how much merchandise they have or even what they believe in. We're supposed to be giving a good example to other fandoms. (I'm not sure what you meant with the alicorn stuff so I won't comment on that)

^ This. If I get any hate for watching the show I simple explain that it's not the same show it was 10-20 years ago. I state a few reasons why I like the show and suggest that they watch it. Most of the times the hater will continue with their bad arguments. In this case I simple stay polite and say something like "I understand and respect your opinion. No show is for everyone and MLP is definitely no exception. I would ask of you though not to judge people based on the shows they like to watch.". Then I would just ignore any other comeback thrown my way (unless it's something positive) and continue about my daily activities. tl;dr: Treat haters/trolls with kindness or at the very least ignore them. Don't feed the parasprites.
