      You can do what I'm going to do. Start with a simple side view pose (like in pony creator). That's the easiest pose in my opinion and it's good practice.

    I'm trying to create an OC that isn't made in pony creator but I'm stuck. I can't figure out what mane I want, what colors I'm going to use and what pose I want to draw him in. Whoever would have thought that making an original pony would be one of the toughest things I've ever done. >.<

    Hey there! If you're reading this then you must be really bored. I mean, you have the whole internet right in front of you and instead you choose to read this meaningless blog that will leave you without any new knowledge. I don't know exactly where I want to go with this blog (if I decide to even do anything with it) so if you guys have any ideas, shoot. I might say a few things about my life, rant a bit, share my experiences and maybe post some awesome videos and links. Anyway, that's all for the intro. See you guys next time (maybe, probably not)!     On my laptop at 3 am, earphones plugged in, listening to Everfree radio, drawing (or trying to) ponies while drinking chocolate milk. This is my summer.

    Quick question to all artists. When you make original artwork (not counting wallpapers and such) do you draw it on paper first then scan it or do you make it on the computer from scratch?

      Here's how I tend to go about creating my work:

      I sketch out my work on paper.

      Scan in the sketch.

      Adjust the proportions in photoshop.

      Ink the sketch in Illistrator of Manga Studio.

      Colour the Lineart in Photoshop or manga studio.

      Add any final touches in Photohsop.

       

      Whether you sketch using paper or digitally is for the most part just a matter of personal preference, and whether you have a decent scanner on hand.

      personally, photoshop lacks tools needed. I use adobe illustrator, soley because it is designed for drawing up from scratch.

      but i think drawing on paper is always a good plan if you scan it in or not.

      Thanks for the tips guys. I've been thinking of trying original art (I've only made wallpapers and stuff) but I didn't know how to go about doing it. :D

      Hard not to. "Got it memorized?" is, I think, the only catch phrase in the games.
