My very first pony vector!

Well, I did download Illustrator. And I have the 30 day trial, but using it is so... weird. I don't understand how the pen tool works in that. Plus, the $500+ price tag is a bit... much. XD -
Well, after drawing a quick sketch I decided to use Inkscape. I don't really know what I was doing, so... please give me some feedback on it. And critique it as well. Hopefully this is a good start. Not sure how many of these I'll do, but I wanted to give it a try anyway!

Well, I'm not that good of an artist... I'm not even one. But I do enjoy working on drawing anyway! Someday I'll get better, hopefully. For now I'm content on simply trying to draw some ponies. Edit: Whoops! Meant to send that to someone. XD -
Well, here it is. With some coaxing from Tdroid, I give you a drawing of Twilight Sparkle. Feel free to tell me how good/bad it is.

@@Flying Whales, I remember that episode. Eustace keeps the slab from this mummy, because it's worth a lot of money. So they all get cursed by King Ramses. I miss that show...

Regular Show definitely has my vote as one of the best shows on the air, currently. Gotta love the characters and crazy stuff that happens to them. XD And I must be the only person who wasn't scared by Courage the Cowardly Dog. Seriously, everyone I've talked to about it says it gave them nightmares. I just thought it was hilarious. XD

Love, tolerance, and a preview of things to come

Okay, that sounds pretty fair. Do something foolish, or bad, and you get reprimanded/warned. But I have a question, regarding one of those violations. I recently had a post hidden by a mod, stating "Do not bypass the 100 character minimum limit" (Can't quite remember the whole quote, but that's close enough.) I just want to be absolutely clear on how I violated it. (So I can avoid doing this again.) I was typing my post and put something in parentheses... something of "darn character limit." Only as a slight annoyance, really. So... was that the reason it was hidden? If so, won't do that again. (Sheesh, sorry my post was so long. ) -
Perhaps I should've started a different topic. I had one thing in mind, then realized that I was going to do something completely different. I'm just going to stick to drawing on paper for now... sorry. ._.;

That's all well and good, but I don't know if I'l be doing a lot of vectoring. At least not any time soon. Though I do appreciate your advice. Got any tips for drawing ponies from the front, by the way? I'm trying to draw a new pony I've come up with, and I'm really struggling with it. I just don't know how to draw from any other angle than the side. Even then I don't draw very well. XD

All right, well I'll check it out whenever I'm awake. Looks slightly less complicated than Photoshop, that's for sure. Well, good night. ^^ I think I'll just work with this whenever it may come, but for now I'm going to stick to drawing on paper. I feel like I've already created too many topics, so what should I do? Just create a new topic, or is there a way to edit the title of this one? Perhaps I should search around, since I just need to find a guide on drawing ponies from the front.

That drawing is... so awesome! What did you use to make it? I'm looking to get art supplies one of these days, and I'd like to ask what you're using. I think I'm just going to stick with drawing on paper for now.

I see. Is Inkscape available for Mac? I don't use a Windows computer, so I usually check first. If not, will Photoshop do? Edit: Right now it's 11:24 AM. So I'll probably be getting up around... 6-7 PM?

Recently I've been thinking about trying my hand at vector art, and well... I have no clue as to what I'm doing. Tutorial videos don't seem to help me at all, and anything related to it makes my head explode, or makes me feel like I'm going to burst into tears. I'm in desperate for help, from anyone who could help me. Basically, I need to start with baby steps. And even there I'm having trouble, so I would appreciate as much help as I can get.

Agreed. Trying to wrap my head around vectoring just... it makes me feel like my head's going to explode. I just don't get it. x_x;
