Sakutama

Sakutama is mixture of the Japanese words for two of my favorite things: Sakura (cherry blossoms) and Tamago (egg) because I think both are very cute. My husband helped me blend them into a new word that sounded cute, and thus Sakutama was born!

For me, it was "Massacre in Dinosaur Valley" it was just...too terrible for words. I wish I could unwatch it so bad. I'm also with RarityBestPony, the Date/Epic/etc Movie movies are just...not my thing.

Yours is 10/10 as well, it's beautiful! I know I probably should have waited until I got my new avatar, it's just a fill in. But I hoped I might get a comment about my pony at least.

Wow way to go!!! I really want to do the same thing on my Shamisen, but I will need more time, I am still a beginner but I think i'm catchin up at a good pace. I would do it on the Viola since I have more experience with it (about 8 years), but my Viola in the US. It's so cool to see someone else do a MLP cover on a more "rare" instrument.

What do you hold as the meaning of your life? a. a never ending journey to find happiness wherever it may be. What is the reason you wake up every morning?What makes you want to be alive a week from now? a. knowing there are great things to experience out there, and getting up and going to work is the first step to finding them. What, if taken away, would render your life unbearable? a. well of course it would be my husband and future kids, but also any of my senses, the ability to walk, my health. Anything stopping me from getting my happiness. What, if given to you, would render your life worth living? a. enough money to never worry about money again and live life to the fullest in a meaningful way. Could work a job I actually enjoy, see everything I want to do, experience everything I want to experience, husband/future kids have everything they need, do justice in every aspect that money limits me on. Do you even value your own life? a. yes of course, knowing I have made a lot of wonderful connections and if I lost my life it would affect everyone. I like to believe I affect people more then i'll ever realize. Do you find some sort of objective meaning to life? If not, then what keeps you going? a. like the first answer - finding happiness. Whether it's enjoy a favorite food, going somewhere fun, doing a fun project, spending time with husband. Just sprinkling life with little pieces of happiness, making the most of the time I have, and hoping i'll leave something behind that makes the world just a tiny bit better then it was before - even if it's just my good attitude, optimism, or making someone smile.

Thank you so much MarkKB and Pixiesong for your warm welcomes! I'm glad I joined. Oh dear, I hadn't come across Ogatamon's YouTube Channel...she is very talented! I don't think I could do the songs as well as she can, nor a decent dub for that matter. Maybe I should give up on the idea -_- I also feel I should be farther along in my Japanese study first, I would feel terrible to take credit when it would mostly be my husbands translations from my explination what the characters are saying. Of course I would do as much as I know on my own, but maybe it's way beyond my abilities at the moment. But maybe I can still try the Shamisen idea, not many people play Shamisen, maybe I will be the first to Shamisen the pony songs.

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy How did you find MLP Forums?: Google How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Let's see...I watched a Smosh video (yes, i'm a Smosh fan, please don't judge me!) called "Smosh Reacts to Kids React to Smosh!" and saw a link on the side bar called "Teens React to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" and decided to see what it was all about. I thought their reactions to the Bronys were kind of sad, later on I was intrigued by the Brony thing and decided to see what the show was all about and why did it attract such a large male audience. Now i'm in love with this wonderful show! Hello Everypony! Nice to meet you! I'm not sure if the definition of Brony is only for men, but I hope you don't mind i'm female! Like many of you, I was curious and now i'm in love with this show!!! It has that wonderful vibe that the old classic toons I used to watch when I was younger had. I think the fandom around this show is just wonderful, and I am fully supportive of Bronys (bronies?). Breaking social expectations is challenging, but important! We should be able to live our dreams and do what makes us happy without peoples expectations of us stopping us, am I right? Something that saddens me is that there are no plans yet to release this show in Japan, according to Wikipedia. There isn't even a Wikipedia page for this show in Japanese. I think Japan needs this show, judging by some of the newer kids anime i've seen. I think MLPFIM would be really well liked in Japan. Well, for the appearance of the ponies at least (they sure do love cute stuff here), but the key will be solid translations so it's not just watching cute ponies, but also getting the jokes and meaningfulness of the show. I'm sure most people know translations between Japanese and English are rarely well done. *sigh* I need to search YouTube a little more to be sure it hasn't been done so I don't rain on someone elses parade, but I can't find anyone attempting serious fan subs/dubs to catch the attention of people in Japan surfing YouTube. I don't think I can't help with either, but I am studying Japanese (beginner) and I have been thinking about at least trying to make subs with my husband. He's a native Japanese speaker, so maybe we can teamwork it? I would really love to get people in Japan watching this fantastic show, and that way I can show my Japanese friends (and my husband of course) this wonderful show without having to constantly explain things. It also might be a wonderful experience to boost my Japanese study, I learn best by using the language as much as possible. It certainly wouldn't be professional translating, but I would put a lot of work into trying to convey everything correctly. I'm also feeling a little ambition to do covers of the songs from the show on my Shamisen, but that'll take a lot of time. I am a beginner with Shamisen too, but I played Viola for several years so we'll see how long it takes to switch to the Shamisen and translate the songs to Shamisen notation. If I can ever do it, i'll gladly share. Wouldn't it be interested to hear the theme song and winter wrap up on a Shamisen? It's nice to meet you all, take care!
