It is insane that Rocket League, a $20 indie title, experiences less network issues than Call of Duty, a franchise that charges you $60 for the game and an additional $50 upfront for DLC. Craziness.
Well, there were 64,000 people playing on the Xbox One version on its own just yesterday and I experienced zero network problems. Black Ops 3? It doesn't even have dedicated servers. So lag and disconnects are still common with that horrid franchise, despite selling millions every single year.
It's all about the branding and marketing, something that indie games tend have a hard time doing due to relatively less resources for branding and marketing purposes.
