  1. sometimes i wish i could have been a journalist in the automotive field, like Jeremy Clarkson. then i could have driven all the cars i drool over, and actually afford the ones i lust for.
  2. ever since i started growing my beard, the nickname Opie has stuck. apparently i resemble Opie from Sons of Anarchy, but i dont see it. lol
  3. i keep all my favorites tucked away safe on my facebook quotes section, so heres a selection of some of my personal favorites. enjoy! "A purist is one who desires that an item remain true to its essence and free from adulterating or diluting influences." "Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right and forget the ones that dont. Believe everything happens for a reason and if you get a chance: take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it" "Sipping good brandy has been described as being like a tiny cat in velvet slippers scampering down your throat. Sipping bad brandy is like the same cat, barefoot, being pulled out by the tail." "Paranoia and common sense come together as the world goes insane." “The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.” "An amateur practices until he can get it right. a professional practices until he cant get it wrong." "There was a time in rally where all that mattered was going faster and faster, a sea of people crowded around a dirt road moving in and out like the tide, and the chirp of blow-off valves tingled your spine." "The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." "like people, every car possesses a unique character, with its own DNA, talents, and idiosyncrasies. push it too hard and it'll turn on you, as a person would. if its worth anything, it gets more interesting the more you get to know it" "luck is earned through hard work and determination, not to mention the willingness to take risks and to see bad luck and setbacks as opportunities for growth and a new direction." "Work like you dont need the money, love like its never going to hurt, dance like nobodys watching" "Nobody really cares if you're miserable, so you might as well be happy." "Most things evolve. They change slowly, gradually maturing sometimes in a manner that makes it hard to pinpoint when the old went out and the new came in. That is usually true with art, music and cars. It is not true with the era of the supercar however. There is a well defined moment when everything changed, and that moment was the arrival of the Lamborghini Miura." "Money and greed dilutes what is truly pure" "Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass... It's about learning how to dance in the rain" "The mindfulness of the Warrior is two-fold. First, he is always alert and awake, ever vigilant. He has keen situational awareness. He never lets complacency lull him to sleep; instead, he is always watching, observing, studying, and planning. Secondly, the Warrior is mindful of the finiteness of life and the inevitably of death, and he purposefully contemplates that death. His courage is rooted in the fact that he is not afraid to die. Life’s shortness brings clarity to his mind. He knows that any minute could be his last so he makes every day and decision count. Carpe diem! becomes his battle cry." "I can live with failure, but not with uncertainty" "i am too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to be defeated" "you cant start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one" "free your heart from hatred, free your mind from worries, live simply, give more, expect less" "I have no fear of losing you, for you aren’t an object of my property, or anyone else’s. I love you as you are, without attachment, without fears, without conditions, without egoism, trying not to absorb you. I love you freely because I love your freedom, as well as mine." "I'm sorry im both your umbrella and the rain" " its a strange moment when you realize the sound of nature is the sound of millions of animals, insects, and birds, all trying desperately trying to get laid." " Lord, make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who seek to destroy me. Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to do harm to me and mine. Let not my last thought be "if i only had my gun"; and Lord, if today is truly the day that you call me home, let me die in a pile of empty brass."
  4. off the top of my head: die antwoord, shutdown, mumford and sons, suckerpunch soundtrack, folder of MLP remixes, hatebreed, alice in chains, at the drive in, flogging molly, jason aldean, miranda lambert, etc. my taste is all over the place lol
  5. samsung 900g. nothing special, had it about a year now and its been rock solid reliable. ill keep it till it quits on me, then buy something newer. no need to upgrade if its working fine, right?
  6. i have 3 at the moment myself. marlin 780 .22 bolty, first gun, cheap to shoot and about as much fun as you can have in a field with $20 worth of ammo. #2 is a old single shot 12 gauge shotgun, break barrel, nice wood furniture... kicks like an oxe. lastly, i have a mosin nagant 91/30, which i just picked up last week. havent had a chance to shoot it yet since ive been busy with other things, but im in the process of cleaning all the cosmoline out of the action and ordering some ammo. not paying local prices on 7.62 rounds.
  7. i also have a Ranger, and i love it. i learned how to drive stick in this truck. and its the first vehicle thats truly mine. its 2wd with a 4 banger, but it gets the job done. shes got some miles on her and a host of little issues (comes with age) but i can see its potential and charm. Right now its sitting in my garage with the top end off of the block while im doing an overhaul and some routine maintenance. someday ill clean all the empty shell casings out of the bed... getting tired of them banging around. i kinda like the contrast though... pony sticker and empty shells in the bed lol. dream car, easy: ferrari f40. had a poster of one on my wall when i was a kid, and thats a love that will never die.
  8. oh so that's what they're called. thank you, i found what i was looking for after a quick google search. i definitely appreciate the help!
  9. Im not sure if this is the correct place to ask or not, but here goes. i was watching a youtube remix video and saw some pony sprites near the end, and i was wondering if anyone knew where i could download them. Starts in around the 4:00 mark, but do listen to the entire song, its great (but im sure most of you have already heard it lol). thanks for the help! video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzokjTwzsNk
  10. i think its great to be able to go somewhere and be able to share an interest in something that isnt widely accepted as the norm for a mid 20s male. i guess the biggest reason i was drawn here is because its acceptable (and greatly encouraged) to love the ponies and discuss it with others. im just happy that male fans have a place to call home and discuss MLP without judgement or critisim. im still a new brony, so its taking awhile to get used to it all. it actually took me a couple tries to start to enjoy the show. i watched the first episode on youtube and didnt think much of it, a month passed by and i did it again and had the same outcome. attempt 3 was when i was stripping the cylinder head on my Ranger and was watching it on netflix via a laptop, so now im hooked. still havent gotten the courage to go into walmart and buy any toys yet. not ready to cross that line just yet lol. but anyway, ill stop rambling and go explore the forums a bit, thanks again for the warm welcome everypony.
  11. Im currently only playing on the 360, but i wanna get back into pc gaming once i finish up a couple projects im already involved in. im deep in a head gasket swap on my Ranger, so thats priority for funding right now.... welll, that and mlp stuff/ammo lol. annoyingly, i took it off the road the day after i got my Fluttershy vinyl on the rear window, so noones seen it yet. i favor bolt action rifles due to simplicity and the mechanical aspect of working the bolt. reminds me of driving a stick shift car, that same level of control and involvement in the process of its operation. thanks for the welcome guys, i hope to stick around awhile.
