@@Lightning Bliss, Clover was very nervous about the thought of flying, and it showed. Her voice trembled slightly as she answered Lightning, but Clover knew that her friend was right.

 

"I'm ready," she replied. "I'm doing this for a friend, for Blaze, so I will concentrate on that when I fly. I will not feel scared up there as long as you and Hurricane are besides me. I'll put the spell on the totum before we go up into the sky, cuz it'll be easier to do that on the ground, but you're right, it'll work better in the air."

Bliss smiled to Clover and let her get on with fixing the totem to get it ready.

 

"Then it's settled then," Bliss said feeling a bit more confident now that everypony else seemed ready to go. "Raze, Quickdraw and Everlast will cover us from the ground. Everlast you got the magic so you should probably take lead, you have the ability to sense other unicorns in the area I would hope? And Quickdraw you can take up defensive positions on the ground since you're locked and loaded." She then turned to Hurricane, "you and me will keep lead while keeping Clover in between us, we both need to keep our eyes open while watching her in mid flight."

 

At that Bliss approached the balcony and stretched out her wings, hinting she was ready to fly.

Everlast was still a bit tired, but he got the gist of the plan. He mock saluted Lightning. "Affirmative princess, all ready to go." He reached for his gear and mentally kicked himself in the face again. Without any gear to grab, he began walking toward the suite door. He heard that he was supposed to be the lead of the ground position, so he waited to see if his charges would follow.

Quickdraw fully loaded his gun and hoisted it over his shoulder. "Bout as ready as I'll ever be."

 

Steel adjusted the metal shoulder piece on his left shoulder and his sword, then stretched his wings. "Ready," he said, as he flew out the balcony and hovered outside, waiting for them.

 

Raze grabbed his blade and attached them to his belt. "Alright, let's go." He led Quickdraw and Everlasting out of the room and onto the streets below.

 

((OOC: I recently found a picture that closely resembles what Quickdraw might look like. Just thought I'd share it with you, so you guys could imagine how he might look interacting with the group

Clover nodded and brought out the totem. She concentrated her magic on it, and the totem began to glow green as the spell was activated. When she had finished, the green glow faded but the glass vial glowed with a a faint white light. It would glow brighter as they got closer to where Blaze was, and when they had found him, it would be as bright as a star. Then Clover levitated it in front of her and spread her wings, flexing them and flapping them the way that her friends had shown her. Her face showed determination as she glanced from Hurricane to Lightning.

 

"I'm ready," Clover said to the other mares.

Hurricane was stretching her wings as the others were getting ready. She then heard Clover give the all-clear.  "Then what are we waiting for?" Hurricane asked. "Let's go already." She was obviously growing impatient. She went to the balcony with a running start and was the first to take off. She did a couple flips and spins to release the built up anxiousness before flying back tot he balcony. "Are you guys coming or not?" she asked with a smirk.

"Right take off!" Bliss said and pushed Clover up into the air then took off right after her, flying just along side. "We'll keep you all in our sights!" She called to Everlast, Quickdraw and Raze as she and the others flew out.

 

She then looked to Steel as he took the front, seeming to be ready for anything. That's good, he can be the frontal assault should we spot Blaze in midair...Unlikely though, he'll probably be hiding.

 

"Are we heading the right direction Clover?" Bliss asked as she came a little closer to make sure the grey alicorn was doing ok.

@@Lightning Bliss, Clover concentrated on flapping her wings properly, remembering everything that Lightning and Hurricane had taught her about flying. She felt the air currents and used them, and to her surprise, she actually was enjoying flying. When Lightning spoke, Clover checked the totem, which was glowing slightly brighter. She nodded.

 

"Yes, we are. We must be getting closer to where Blaze is, cuz the totem is brighter than it was," she replied.

Steel kept a firm grip on his blade, keeping an eye out for a certain alicorn with a flaming sword on his side. He reflected back to their previous fight before. He was extravagant with his flames, using flashy moves and tricks to his advantage. The sword would have to go first; the magic he would deal with later.

 

His fire will not defeat my wind,he thought, gripping his blade tighter. I will make sure the evil within him is purged from his body...

 

Raze and Quickdraw were following the others above, trying not to lose them. Quickdraw was whistling a small tune while he was walking, not looking worried in the slightest. To him, there was no need for worry; he believed that he had him all figured out, and there was no way Blaze could get close to him without taking a bullet to the face. Then again, Lightning said no bloodshed, which annoyed him a bit. How else would they be able to take him on without harming him at least once? He would just have to help on the sidelines and shoot smoke canisters at him to block his vision, and also distract the alicorn.

 

That... thing inside a' him thinks he's all that, he thought. Jus' it wait...

Everlast made it down the stairs to the ground level with the other walkers behind him.That is something I wouldn't mind having wings for, would never have to deal with stairs again. Manehatten is one of the most bustling cities in Equestria, but Everlast was surprised with how little traffic was on the street this morning. It did make it easy to keep up with the flyers.

 

Even though he knew he technically wasn't leading anyone, the fact that the princess wanted him in front made him nervous. He tried to focus on the spells the princess wanted him to handle, but he didn't have a lot of searching magic. There was one spell. Before, when he looked at Blaze using his vitalis sight, he was impossible to miss. Just like she was, but we missed it all the same. Not going to see it happen again.

"Raze, would you mind taking the lead? I do have a spell that may be useful. I will be almost blind however, and would need someone in front of me to more or less act as a guide."

Bliss smiled as Clover claimed the totom to be working and they were all seeming to head in the right direction. She then darted her attention up ahead to see what parts of the city they were hovering over. It appeared to be a less richer part of the city, with broken buildings or apartments that had been run down from use and age. It certiantly had plenty of places to hide in, one where others wouldn't bother you.

 

Like a needle in an apple orchird...she sighed as they continued to hover above the others. It's a good thing that we have that totom...but we really need to hurry this along...time is of the essence.

"What old, abandoned places are in this town anyway?" Hurrican asked as she flew beside Clover. She kept her eyes open for any sign of lifeless buildings. "Manehatten is a busy city so I would think any abandon place would stick out like a sore hoof." She kept looking and didn't rely on the tracking totem too much. " how accurate is that ting anyway, Clover?" She asked with curiosity. She had never really had experience with magic. The only unicorn that Hurricane spent anytime with was her sister, and they didn't really get along too well.

Clover watched the totem as she and the others flew over the city. They had now left the richer part behind them and were now flying over ruined and abandoned buildings, interspersed with gambling dens and liquor stores. The totem was shining brighter and brighter as they flew and suddenly, it flashed like a beacon. With some difficulty, Clover pulled up and sat down on a convienient cloud. She looked down; she was sitting right above an abandoned cinema. Looking at the totem again, with difficulty as it was too bright to look at comfortably, she was sure of one thing. Blaze was in that cinema. They had found him. She called to Lightning and Hurricane.

 

"Over here! I've found where Blaze is hiding!"

Blaze sat in the middle of the stage when he overheard a voice from outside. "Well they found me.... I guess it was about time." Blaze had thought about the situation the night before, they storm the room, or they could try and flank from alternating angles. They would see him and try to talk to Blaze once more, pity, because he wasn't anywhere to listen. Alone in the theatre, with enough time to think about all the enemies plans, if any were made at all.

 

Soon it would all be over, and only the victor would be left standing, and if anything was to come out of this situation it would be a diversion.

Hurricane hovered next to Clover and looked down at the theater. This was it. There was no chance that the entity would get away again. "Are we ready guys?" She looked at the group, then at the theater with a determined look. "This ends today." she said. Hurricane thought about how she would attack the entity. She didn't want to harm Blaze, but it might have to be done in order to protect herself.

Bliss nodded to Clover and Hurricane as well as the others. She waved to all of them from down below, pointing to the cinema. But from here...she wasn't sure how they should handle this. But she did recall a saying from the buffalo cheif who told her the tails of his elders...when they used to battle for territory agains their enemies.

 

"The trick is..." she remembered, "is to take your enemy by surprise?"

 

At that she didn't think, nor bother to tell the others. She spotted a rotted out wooden part in the roof of the cineme, just wide enough for her to dive through. She played it all out before she even could stop herself. She dived down towards the roof of the cinmea too scared to let Blaze escape again.

 

She slammed head first into the roof, her horn aglow at the ready for anything...She wasn't even sure if her own magic of peace seemed to be waiting as well...but she felt the surge to help Blaze more then ever. After breaking through the cinema, roof, she found herself hovering in the theater, with several red seats facing a stage. She twisted and turned in mid-air, struggling to see in the dark damp abadoned theater.

 

"Blaze???!!!" She cried out, her voice echoing through the building, "can you hear me Blaze!?"

Steel followed behind Lightning, quietly observing the cinema. He walked with caution, his hoof on his blade, ready for anything.

 

Raze and Quickdraw entered quietly through the front door of the cinema. They both snuck around the side, trying not to be seen.

He heard a loud crash come from outside the front doors of his Theatre, someone had come barreling through the roof, and now he could clearly make out the voice of Lightning Bliss. He then heard the doors to the entire cinema open and some pony wander in. Eventually they'd find his theatre that he had barricaded himself in. They'd find him on the center of the stage, and this so called climatic duel would proceed.

While everypony else entered at their own descretion, Bliss continued to hover above, trying to keep a safe distance and hope she would just magically spot Blaze from afar...but after what felt like forever, if only a minute or two, she decided to descend to the stage. Landing down with a skip and and a slip on her golden hooves, she sweeped her tail across the stage, trying to spot any hoof prints.

 

She spotted what looked to be a barriage of theater waste or boxes littered in the middle of it, but didn't pay much mind as she continued to scan the stage and behind the curtains.

 

"Come on Blaze..." she spoke in a normal concerned voice, "i know you're battling for your freedom...you got to be here...you got to...you just got to..." She turned her back away from the barricade of debre and stuck her nose behind another curtain that led to the back of the stage to the what appeared to be makeup rooms.

Everlast watched as lightning Dive bombed into a theatre. "We have our He dashed after Raze and Quickdraw, but as they crept around the side, he went right down the center. Leave the sneaking to the experts. I will do what I do best. With that, he picked up a wood slat, and wrote on it, Once that was completed, he cast his spell. The World faded to black, but he was able to make out the glowing forms of The gunslinger and party leader. 

 

Lets tune this a bit... By reaching Tendrils of magic around him, he was more or less able to feel his way around the rubble. Pretty exposed, but if I get hit, Raze and Quickdraw will help. I'd hope they would at least. A tendril connected to Steel, and shortly after, Lightning. He began making his way toward them, One tendril attached to a pony he didn't know, and he instantly retracted it. Afraid they might have felt it. He's not alone, he has an accomplice.

He called over to the other two walkers, trying to be as quiet as possible, but so that they could hear. "Hope you guys came prepared, because I think we may get more than we bargained for. He's got friends."

Clover entered the cinema carefully, tho she wasn't versed in sneaking the way that Steel, Raze and Quickdraw were. She just didn't want to attract any attention to herself. Having entered the cinema, Clover started making a spell which would draw on the totem and make Blaze glow like the totem was, meaning that concealment would be impossible. Since the totem spell, and this one, too, was focused on the hair of Blaze's body, it didn't matter if his mind was taken over by the entity.

As Bliss made her way behind the stage to what now she realized to be the filming booths, she squeaked a bit seeing a green like tendirol of pagic touch her leg. She realized then it was the magic conjured by Everlast as his way to keep tabs on everypony. She relaxed a little...only to shiver up again when he whispered magically to everypony "he's got friends..."

 

Bliss gulped...was this friend really an accomplice by will? Or did this entity really have the ability to mind control other ponies as well?

 

She kept her guard up at this point, keeping her horn lit out in front of her, as she peered into the film booth.

 

"H-hello?" She whispered into the dark, cobweb room, "anypony here? I mean no harm...? I'm just...trying to find my friend..."

The Entity saw the tentacle coming towards him, he let it grapple him before stepping on it with his hoof. "I have many friends Everlast. Some yet deceased and some Immortal. I've lived for Eons on the plains of this Earth. I've seen things that most ponies would find hard to fathom.... You really don't know who or what I am do you? Pity." He finished speaking and squished the tentacle from his leg.

Blaze could sense Lightning Bliss was nearing closer to him. He had readied traps all around the movie theatre

When she entered the film booth multiple loud films would start playing in sequence, and hopefully that would throw her off a bit.

*WHINNIES LOUDLY*

 

Bliss whirled over crying out as several film boxes that surrounded her in the booth, began to play at once, airing onto multpile big screens within the theater. The sudden tumble got her all tangled up in old blank film reel lengths.

 

"Gah...darn it all!" She tried to rationalize the films going off due to she must have hit a switch and attempted to pull herself loose. Though unknown to her sight, the more she pulled...the more she loosened a heavy wooden shelf, stacked with more film, began to tilt its way towards her, threatening to fall down on the helpless alicorn.

Steel saw that Lightning was in need of help, and rushed towards the falling shelf. He made a strong gust of wind with his wings, and blew the shelf and films out of her way. He then began to help Lightning get untangled from the mess she was in.

 

As Raze and Quickdraw ventured into one of the theater rooms, the movies began to play. They were both startled, but then regained their composure. Exchanging glances, they continued searching.
