But I liked Hey Arnold the most.

Danny Phantom was my personal favorite. But if we're sticking to the 90's era, then my favorite will have to be Ren and Stimpy. SOmething so insane, not even anime can match its insanity. I mean, just look at this scene. Its not the weirdest, but the fact that it isnt, is scary.

There was an adult-oriented remake of Ren & Stimpy in the early 2000s, but it wasn't so much insane as it was simply vulgar. Ruined it.

 

Lots of memorable scenes like that one, as well as "Space Madness"

Yeah, it was really disappointing. The original show made you step back and think, "wow, Ren is completely insane," and they had to do that without running afoul of the Nickolodeon censors. It was still a children's TV network after all. A lot of the charm comes from having to write for the show like that.

 

ADC was pretty much hey let's make them spout obscenities non-stop and crack jokes about reproductive organs, that'll give it some edge! Not really.
