@@RunsWithSquirlz,

Robert grinned at Tulla. "I have plenty of adult games we could play. I didn't realize you were interested." He chuckled. "Secrets, though? That sounds interesting. especially if we're drunk when we play. Of course, every game is more interesting if you're drunk when you play it."

Tulla raised an eyebrow "It would surprise you what I like, my dear Robert. But I don't think you'd fulfill those needs."

"I think you're pretty drunk already." Whisper giggled into her cup. She stuck her hand into Clarkes to gently weasel out the cards. Whisper gave him a small smile "I know how to deal"

Clarke could only give Whisper a small smile as he let her take the cards from his hands, her soft skin was such a contrast to his rough workman's hands. He had never played 'secrets' before, it was certainly a game no outlaws or strangers would agree to play and frankly the concept unnerved him, he had many things he had never shared with anyone. Still he spoke up and nodded at Helena and Whisper, "I've never played Secrets before so I'd have to learn how one wins or loses. I'm open to drinking till a decision is made but that might take sometime; I'll stick by what I said when I entered, I'd be happy to play whatever Miss Whisp wants to play." He looked around at everyone, "we can always change games after trying one."

"So drinking is our course of action?" Zaddion broke his silence at Helena's words, he never liked the idea of alcohol but had never even tried drinking beyond a taste before. Drinking caused a strange situation for Mages as far as he had theorized, but now wasn't the time to let his head wander into his studies, like the initial idea or not he was going to have fun with others for once. "I would normally be against the idea of getting drunk, but I guess I'll have to make this the exception for the rest of you..." His sigh was noticeably accompanied by a smile of sorts, this place had certainly done something to lighten his mood.

"Q'sal, a singular, labyrinthine mind composed of a billion conflicting, paradoxical wills. Have you ever seen the swirling Aetherstorms in it's atmosphere? Smelled the shifting perfumes of intrigue upon it's people? Tasted the gluttonous banquets of ambition permeating from the Sorcerer-Technocrats? Heard the exquisite lies and thoughts of an unknowable population? No Slaaneshi pleasure I have indulged in comes close to that feeling, only in the embrace of Apotheosis could one aspire to find anything greater."

"Its just like any other game. Just, the winning hand gets to pick the type of secret. Like...a cute secret or a scary secret or something dirty. Losing hand or hands, have to tell." Whisper explained, her hand still laying in Clarkes.

"Well as long as we drink, I don't care much. Its nice to see you finally joined in on the fun, Zaddion. Just don't get too drunk, like Robert." Tulla scoffed.

"Okay, yeah. That's a good starting game, we've been traveling together for a bit now, why not share some secrets; it will only make us all closer." Clarke sounded much more confident than he was, this would certainly be a new experience but he had begun to like these people and he might never get a chance like this again, not with Ashcreek and Coppershine looming in the future.

He glanced at Whisper's hand resting on his and for a moment shifted his thumb so just ever so slightly so he was holding her hand in his. He looked back up at her face and their eyes met and he flushed, slipping his thumb back off her hand but not pulling it away from her, suddenly yanking his hand away would be too obvious to the others. The drink had obviously begun to effect him, being so bold as to caress the hand of a Princess!

He shifted a little in his seat and wondered what she was thinking, but forced himself to speak clearly, "so Miss Whisp are you going to deal us all in?"

"Secrets ... It's like Poker except we tell secrets instead of losing gold. I think I played this before at the thieves guild in the capital. Before I broke off from them. We have to tell the truth when we tell our secrets and it doesn't matter what type. Be it a cute secret, dark secret or even dirty, we have to tell the truth. Got it?" Helena asked everyone before taking another sip. "I think Whisp is dealing. That right?"

Whisper had been staring at her friends in thier merriment. If she could call them friends. She secretly loved how all the girls looked, like nobility.

When Clarke ran over her hand with his thumb, it snapped her back into reality and she looked at him. Her eyes were just as curious as his. This gesture was much more caring then how she was handled. Delicately yes, as always. Yet different in a way she couldn't place.

Reluctantly, she slowly withdrew her hand and cleared her throat, shuffling the deck and distributing them.

"Uhm...the highest hand wins..it's like..." suddenly she found herself at a loss for words. But she nodded at Helenas comment.

Clarke picked up his five cards trying to put his mind back on the game and not silly delusions. A 3 of clubs, 6 of hearts, 9 of hearts, 10 of spades and the Queen of diamonds; not the best hand but not a horrible one either. 9's and higher always made for a pretty strong pair and if he got lucky with a Jack then either a king or an 8 would land him a straight; he discarded the 3 and 6. He got back a 4 of diamonds and a 10 of clubs; a pair of tens and a Queen kicker... Still not a very good hand.

(If you guys don't want to be this detailed I'd say we can just have Squirlz decide who gets what and wins the round, that might move faster and let very one get to sharing secrets faster :P )

Robert didn't even bother to look at his cards when they were dealt to him. Why not make this more interesting? "You know what, I'm going to be just as surprised as the rest of you. I'm not looking. Whatever this hand is, I'm keeping it. Not like I really have much to lose, anyway."

Dresden glanced at his cards and looked around the table; he got a 4 of clubs, 7 of hearts, 10 of hearts, Jack of spades and the King of diamonds. He had no idea whether that was a good hand or a bad hand he barley played poker and almost always forgot the rules. He discarded the 4 and 7 and got a 2 of hearts and a 5 of spades. 'Oh, I have no idea what i'm doing'

(I have no idea how to play poker so i'm just putting random numbers down.)

Helena looked at her cards and wasn't sure if they were good or bad. She looked up to see the others and found that they were guarding their hands closely. She had a 5 of clubs, 3 of hearts, 4 of spades, 8 of diamonds and a 6 of hearts. 'Is this hand good or bad? I haven't played this sort of game in ages.' Helena thought curiously to herself.

Tulla played blindly like Robert but exchanged all but one card in her hands for fresh ones.

Whisper stared hard at her cards, she had a terrible poker face. Her emotions channeled visibly through her eyes. She kept her hand, placing them face down on the table.

Not getting an answer I simply walked pass the young man and into the main room noticing they were playing some card game I decided to not bother them and sat at a little table in the corner. Where I have watched the group and others in the surrounding area.

@@Sanctified Absence, (Um just in case you're not able to reply today I'm going to post showing my hand and pretend you've already taken care of your cards)

Clarke glanced around everyone seemed to have finally finished with their cards, so he flipped his. "Pair of tens."  he proclaimed as if it wasn't obivous.  "So who's going to beat me."  He was sure someone would, he'd never been that lucky with card games.

Whisper laid down her hand "Three of a kind..." she said rather proudly.

Tulla flipped over her hand lazily while drinking a mug with the other. She raised her eyebrow when it revealed four aces and a 9. "What is it...? Four of a kind...?" Tulla smirked, already drumming up the type of secret.

Helena copied Tulla, seeming she hasn't played the game in a long while and flipped over her cards, revealing 5 of clubs, 3 of hearts, 4 of spades, 8 of diamonds and a 6 of heart. "What sort of hand is this? Not a very good one I'd imagine." Helena stated, taking a rather large gulp from her drink.

Zaddion took into account the others' hands before flipping his own shortly after. "Two pairs," the Mage sat there staring at his hand, this was a game of chance and not skill so almost nothing was on the line so long as the winner didn't ask for the wrong secrets. His hand wasn't particularly impressive, a fact that became apparent at the slightly disappointed look on his face, the 5 of hearts, 5 of diamonds, 2 of spades, 2 of clubs and Ace of spades weren't exactly a combination to be intimidated by.

Clarke sighed, he certianly had lost this quite round pretty badly; he'd never seen someone get such a good hand without looking at their cards and randomly drawing new ones, he wondered if she had somehow cheated but he saw no way she could have done that...  It was impossible, so he resigned himself to begining to think of what secret he'd have to share with all these people.

I decided to go back to the room I decided to call my own for now this did nothing to change things, I found my way back and back on the roof where I continued to stargaze and actually relax once again, my tension decreasing now that I was once more alone and relaxed my hood down and cowl off.

Robert shrugged and looked at his hand. All crap. He tossed his cards on the table so the others can see. "Well I've got nothing of any value. I guess that means Tulla wins this hand. So what kind of secret is it going to be? Cute? Funny? Dirty?" He grinned and took another drink.

Tulla drummed her fingers against the tabletop "Dresden, you just made it. Roberts hand was crap."

She thought about it long and hard while looking at Robert "Alright, I want a dirty one right off the bat. Dirty and very embarrassing."

Whisper giggled behind her hand.

@@RunsWithSquirlz,

Robert grinned. "Of course you do. Alright, then...How about the time I was flirting with a woman for a good ten minutes before I found out it was actually a man? Grabbed his ass, too. We both agreed never to speak of it again. In my defense, no man's body should have curves like that. It's not natural. That good enough for you?"

((Sorry, but that's the best I could come up with. And I want to save the really good ones for later anyway.))
