Darkness... Complete and utter darkness... It had happened so fast. Only hours earlier, millions of ponies suddenly disappearing at once, without a trace. The entire world was falling into darkness. As chaos rises, so does the regime an entity whose only wish is to kill. Ponies disappear off the streets, and whispers of a "machine" arise as society, and yourself, slowly tumble into darkness. So, your fate lies ahead. Will you solve the mystery of disappearances? Or will you feed the machine? The choice is yours as a new, dark chapter of history unfolds...

Welcome! It's been a while since my last roleplay, and I figured I'd get another one going, as my last one died. I don't have many rules, so I'll make this quick.

 

RULES:

Use proper grammar cuz I cnt rd ths, k?

 

No OP OC's.

 

No godmodding unless approved by the person who plays the character.

 

Alicorns are allowed, as long as they aren't royalty or OP.

 

Respect all other Roleplayers.

 

That's it for the rules, now on to how to apply to enter.

Here are the alliances.

 

Those Left Behind:

The ponies who hadn't disappeared in the initial disappearances are referred to as "those left behind". They initially don't have must interest in "The Machine", but do later. They seek to find the truth behind the disappearances.

 

The Machine Workers:

The ones who run "The Machine". They seek to feed the machine, and will at whatever cost.

 

The Rebels:

Those who know of "The Machine" from the beginning, and seek to destroy it, whatever the cost may be to them.

I'm a little confused on what actually is the machine and how I should introduce a character that works on it. Basically what is the setting/starting point  for each of the three factions?

I can understand your confusion.

The actual machine itself is introduces a little later in the plot.

Where each if the factions start is as follows:

Left Behind- Begin as your regular self on a regular evening. Express how clueless they are to the coming new era.

The Workers- Begin as delerious people preaching of the end of the world and the rising of a new regime that will take them to the top.

The Rebels- Begin about the same way as the Left Behind, but actually think about the coming new era.

I've noticed no one has responded to the roleplay yet. Just a reminder that it is up.

I just need a setting. Somone to get me started that way i have something to build off of

I can work on one in my next post. However, I did have an idea for what the setting and opening could be for your character or the rebels in general.

The setting is Canterlot. You had just left a meeting with Princess Twilight to discuss your thought that the end of Ponykind as we knew it now would end. She said she would contact you soon. It was clear she thought you a bit of a maniac. However, you know that the end is coming, and need to get the word out before the disappearances.
