Critique:

The Good: The video doesn't have a lot of background noise, often associated with homebrew YouTube setups. So props for getting that clean. You also spent time editing out, and that is always appreciated.

The Not So Good: You desperately need a pop filter. Also, do a quick search on how to use audacity to adjust your EQ eight. You have very rough and unpleasant mids coming through. I promise, it is easier than it sounds. :P

Some other Tips: You need better structure. The video just starts off without an introduction or really establishing the topic you are about to descend on. As I watched, it became apparent that you were generalizing, and not really driving towards any revelation or point. The whole idea behind an analysis, is to present an idea that the viewer/listener may have not thought of themselves.

I think you will find, as you try and expand on each idea, that this expansion will give you more material to write on. This will lengthen your video and give you room to actually include clips/pictures/ect. Right now, the entire video feels very foreshortened and rushed.

Write as much as you can so that you can go on a path of discovery yourself. Don't worry if you don't know everything when you start, just write. Then, edit. During your writing, you will discover your main point. Now is the time to edit out everything that doesn't support it. One page of script equals about one minute of talking. Keep your videos at a minimum of five minutes, and a max of ten.

This is not a hard rule, just a general suggestion.

Here is a list of software that you should procure in one way or another. Take time, and learn. This will be a rewarding experience, but only if you invest the time.

Software I Suggest:

Adobe After Effects

Sony Vegas Pro

Audacity (I use this in combination with Adobe Audition.)

I hope this helps. :P

Thank you for your time and advice.
