Detru's eyes flashed, the white gas spilling out at a higher rate. She stomped her way out of the shade, not even caring that her powers got weaker. "Say that one more time, see what happens, you little slug" she threatened, looking down at him and letting the white mist flow freely. In such an open space and in such heat, it wasn't going to do much. Even so, destroying oxygen atoms, even in small quantities, tended to do something at least

Nico watched his Cube with interest until he heard a commotion not thay far away. He looked up from it to look at a rather large girl barrelling past a couple of others. "Some conflict already ..." Nico murmured and looked back down at the Ciube. Frowning he morphed the Cube into a headset and placed it over his head. This enabled him to listen in on their conversation without them noticing. His eyes widened at the agression in her voice.

"Ah! So cool" she clasped her hands to her cheeks and watched, eyes wide.

 

"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings miss, I..." she began but shot a look at Victor.

 

"I'd make out with either of you" she stated giving them each a small smile. Well, not anybody really.

 

"Are you okay? That looked like it coulda' hurt." she asked Detru.

She chuckled "What should we call you then? How about 'The Weather Man'?". Rikku teased him lightly; feeling a little less afraid of this entire trip and new country.

"I always liked the sound of Snowfall."

*Alec said with a bit of a glimmer in his eyes.*

"Since my last name is Snow and all."

*Kain looked with annoyance at the beast of a creature that had sat down nearby him, seemingly not noticing him at all. He continued flipping the butterfly knife around in his hand. He looked back down and his cut finger and re-opened the wound, letting some blood flow out, and he manipulated it in waves around his hand, steadily shifting his fingers as he did so.*

Detru whipped around, her ire now on the other woman.

 

"Shut up! God, you're annoying!" she snapped, opening her mouth and preparing to fire her beam. Something tugged at the back of her mind and she stopped, closing her mouth and letting the glow dissipate. Unexpectedly, she began to cackle. "You two deserve a lot worse than what I was going to do" she said between chuckles, plotting horrid ways for her to do to them. But as for now, she held off on doing anything. She could do it later. She liked taking her time.

His body still subtly shifting, Victor shrugged. "Miss, if you really want to try hurting me, you're welcome to give it a shot. But I'd rather not get into a fight right now." He turned back to Tora. "I don't think I'd object to that too much. But now is not the time, I'm afraid."

Detru let out a huff and stomped back beneath the platform, crossing her arms. "Dumb little freaks, I'll pound their heads in" she muttered to herself, smiling a bit as those lovely thoughts caressed her mind. "Yes, hearing them beg for mercy" she said to no one in particular. Detru talked to herself a lot. It kept her from getting lonely

@, @@Dji, I recreated my sword and backed away from our little group giving it a few test swings, going as far as doing many forms that I have learned over time. I then turned the sword into claws on my hands letting the excess go back to being my shadow. I wished it was night so I could do more with my abilities even flying and the like.

Gale shrugged as Nico left and glanced at Shadow Damcer. She was a bit more comfortable when it came to talking with him, and decided she might as well spend some more time with him. "I'm probably going to explore the island when the boat docks. Do you want to go with me? If you're busy, I understand."

Nico took his headset off and morphed it into a phone. Getting up, he slipped the phone in his pocket and walked over to the passive-aggresive girl. "Hi, shiela! I'm Nico and I heard what hapened. You seem ... angry? How are you feeling?" Nico asked hesitantly, taking out his phone in case she decided to hit him.

At the strangers rage Tora squeaked and 'popped' into a small auburn field mouse. She scurried away down the deck of the boat to hide in pile of crates.

"Snowfall" she mouthed. "I don't know what snow is like. It never snows where I live, we would have to travel many hours to the mountains. Do you think we will arrive soon, Snow?" Rikku asked. She was beginning to feel the familiar tingling sensation in her body again, soon they would touch land, it told her.

"Really? I've never gone a winter without snow. Living in the north will do that."

"And it doesn't look like we are really going to an ideal place for it. Mayhaps there will be some, bizzare weather patterns this winter."

*He said with a sly smile.*

"Yeah, it looks like the island is within sight."

*Alec said looking out at the island in the distance.*

Now that he was alone again, Victor was about to return to his doomed attempts at getting some sleep. Before he got the chance, however, the boat's captain announced that they were about to dock, and everyone should prepare to disembark. A guide would meet them at the harbor.

Detru merely snarled in response, her chipped teeth gritted. "I swear, I will personally tear off your arm and then shove it down your throat!" she growled darkly, her massive fist clenched. She heard the alarm and grumbled.

 

"Finally, we're here!" she declared, charging towards the bow. It hadn't occurred to her that soon, didn't mean now. The splash that happened when she hit the water was massive, her yell out of outage even more so.

Nico stepped back slightly and put his hands up in mock surrender. "If you want to be agressive, then that' your choice. I was just trying to be friendly and making conversation." Nico said kindly and smirked at her. When he heaed the call that they would be docking soon, Nico witnessed something hilarious. The girl charging and falling in the water followed by a shout. He laughed and looked over the side at her. "I don't know about you, but I thought it was hilarious!" Nico chuckled.

Zen heard the splash and looked over the side of the ship, seeing a girl that he hadn't seen before. 'I should probably help her.' He thought. He reached out mentally to the atoms that made up her body, lifting her up out of the water, and placing her down on the ship. He didn't bother with thank yous, and elected to simply lean against the side of the ship.

The water around her boiled away, the oxygen in the water disappearing and large hydrogen bubbles floating up. 

 

"SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU JUST TALK, TALK, TALK!" she raged, grabbing the scupper of the boat and beginning to pull herself out of the water. Then someone pulled her out. Maybe a psychic or something. Either way, it jut damaged her ego even more. 

 

"I didn't need your help!" she spat, accidentally firing her oxygen destroyer beam in her anger. Snapping her mouth shut, she wiped off some saliva with disgust. Great, she looked even more pathetic now

Nico jumped back slightly when she fired something out of her mouth. "Of course we talk. Why wouldn't we? Anyway, you really have to calm yourself down. If you do, then you'll be more likely to control that beam thingy of yours. Besides, you looked like you needed the help." Nico said pointedly, gesturing at her shape and size.

 

Figuring he should stop talking, Nico morphed his phone into a mask that regulated breathing as well as transform unbreathable air into oxygen. He put it on his face but it only covered the lower half and doesn't completely wrap around his head anyway. "I'll just shut up now." Nico said, his voice was slightly muffled and sounded sort of robotic.

There was a moment of dead silence from Detru as she heard the comment about her size. 

 

"YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" she shrieked, losing all self control and roaring like an animal possessed, leaping forward much faster than her massive frame would indicate. She raised the ham sized fist, fully ready to smash his skull against the ground. He'd live...probably

Zen reached out and pulled the girl back before she could punch that other guy. "I don't like fighting." He said simply. It was true, he had zero tolerance for violence, seeing it as nothing but bad for everyone involved in it. He did acknowledge that there was a time for it sometimes, but this was not one of those times. "Please stop it."

"It won't be a fight, it'll be me repeatedly beating his worthless face " Detru replied, whipping around to free herself from his grip. A crazed grin crossed her face. "But if you want to take his place, that's totally fine!" she cackled, seeing if he'd accept the proposal which, in her eyes, was very generous

*Kain gave out a slight chuckle as he watched the goings on of the other metahumans among him. Maybe if he was lucky they would all slaughter each other, he would have a healthy supply of blood to use, and he could just take the boat, turn it around, and head home. But that was too optimistic of him, he knew things would calm down and he would end up stuck in the sanctuary for quite a while. He leaned back against the backrest of his seat and flipped closed his butterfly knife. He sat there anticipating the actions of those who's company he was in.*

Nico ducked and closed his eyes but the punch never came. When he looked back up, he saw the guy that saved her earlier talking with her. "Don't make any comments about how she looks. I doubt it would end well." Nico said to him helplessly. To the girl, he simply said, "I'm sorry I said the weight thing about you. Apparently it's a very touchy subject."
