Fans of Doctor who, how do you feel about the shows moral side, is it important to you? For me Tennant has always been my favourite doctor because of the morals he stands by, it seems no matter how much he suffered he would always do the best thing for those in need.

I find Matt Smith's portrayal to be too violent. The Doctor has always been much of a pacifist, preferring to think his way out of a situation. Matt Smith just kinda boots the bad guy out of the way.
To be fair, though, I've scant watched much of Matt Smith's Doctor. Tennant was always the best in my eyes(I say as a thousand teenage girls cry out in unison).

@@Unikitty Christopher Eccleston was violent, even more so than David Tennant. At least from what I've seen, and what I recall.

Though, to be completely honest, I feel like some of the morals that the Doctor stands by in the Doctor Who series sometimes actually cause more problems, than solutions.

I won't dispute that, as he was rather blunt and brash(but it made him coo'). Although, I think you mean to say Matt Smith as opposed to David Tennant, as I was stating how DT was humble and MS was rough.

It really depends on the Doctor when it comes to morality. Some of the Doctors tended to be less of a pacifist than others.

The First Doctor kidnapped two of his granddaughter's teachers to protect his secret and attempted to kill a caveman to save his own hide.

The Second Doctor (who Matt Smith based the 11th Doctor on) blew up a ship full of alien invaders.

The Fourth Doctor had a companion who killed and threatened people and he'd just scold her as if she'd only broke a glass.

The Sixth Doctor choked his own companion (to be fair he had just freshly regenerated), dropped two guys in an acid bath and in the same episode set up a trap that fatally poisoned three people.

and finally the Seventh Doctor constantly manipulated people including his companions in both the show and in the audio dramas and if I remember correctly blew up Skarro.

Even the Tenth wasn't really that much of a pacifist, he really needed Donna to keep him in check.

I don't know about the pacifist thing. Only one Who ever came across as an absolute pacifist. Tennant did a fine job walking a line between righteousness and vengeance, and they portrayed that well in the Sycorax Christmas Invasion. Remember the climax? His reaction to dropping the Sycorax leader. "I'm that kind of Doctor."

Also there is the Runaway Bride. True, he gave her one last chance as he usually does ... but he basically committed genocide.
