Donovan looks back, notices a certain walker, and stops running.

Phil looks back at Donovan and stops too.

"...w...why did you stop?"

"DONOVAN! MOVE IT! MOVE IT!" Ralf howled as he tore after the others.

 

God damn it. "GET YOUR SORRY ASSES OVER HERE!"

Walkers only ten feet away from Donovan.

Jack grinded to halt just next to Donovan. Every fibre of his body told him to keep running and leave Donovan behind, but something made him stay.

 

I lost my Dad... And my Mom.

 

"It's... It's not your Dad... Not anymore." He muttered to Donovan.

Donovan took out his khukri knife and decapitated his fathers reused corpse. He grabbed the head and continued on with his group.

"I don't care, but I want some remembrance. I saw him die, so calm the f*** down Ralf."

"Let's just keep moving, Hamza says."

They turn around anther corner.

Jesus christ... I had to go and get myself stuck with the insane guys...

 

Shaking his head in disbelief, Jack resumed his sprint away from the herd of walkers.

Venkat follwed behind, having paused for a second to scout the area while the others had moved ahead.

"Lets just find a building or something..." Jack huffed as he slowed down, looking back.

 

"Im sure weve lost them for now..."

"I'm pretty sure we did too," Hamza says, "There's nothing here except for parking garages and stores. We should've chosen a more less-populated place."

The group then walked down an empty road when Hamza encountered a walker. He hasn't fought one before, so he was frozen. The walker grabbed his shoulders but Hamza held him back.

"Sh*t, help!"

Donovan looked back and ran to Hamza and hit the walker in the head with his khukri knife whilst letting out a bored sigh.

 

"Hey!" said Donovan, "NO WAY!" Donovan ran to find a man in a Sheriff's uniform, he immediately started negotiating from across the street.

Hamza gets up from the ground and says, "Um, thanks."

But Donovan is talking to some cop.

"Whos this?" he says to himself.

He walks over to Donovan.

"So your name is Rick? Your family is a few blocks down? Well seeing as I'm also a cop and I'm leading this group, I think we should group up." Says Donovan

 

"I agree, we need all the people we can get." Says Rick Grimes.

"More people?" Hamza asks, "We're having trouble with our own group!"

Hamza walks back to the rest an says, "Donovan's talking to some cop about merging groups."

Venkat sighed. "It's not easy finding enough alcohol to get everyone drunk, you know. But if he can shoot straight, I don't suppose it matters."

Donovan looks at his group, he sees Hamza's frustration and gets annoyed.

"Well we need to meet up, I'll go get my group and meet you on the street." said Donovan

"You got it, see you there." said Rick

Donovan walks to his group.

"Hamza do you have a problem with merging groups? The bigger the numbers the higher the survival rate. We need more members to survive with more connections and weapons. Were going to meet him a few blocks down. Keep yourself armed, we don't know them well yet. He's a cop too so I have some trust with him."

"Fine I'll give him a chance," Hamza says, "But if we run out of supplies, we need to split them off. I know it's not up to me, but, oh well."

Hamza stands by the rest of the group and waits for Donovan's orders.

Jason gazed angrily at Donovan for a split second.

 

"Who gave you the right to merge groups?" Jason hissed "the more people, the more we attract walkers!"

"The more people, theres better chance of bringing the world back to a normal state. We need a set camp, and more people. Rick told me they all have weapons." Donovan said, "They have children." Donovan paused, "Sometimes its not always about us."

"Alright, then. Let's go," Hamza says.

Jason locked eyes with Donovan and sighed before glancing at the new-comer, this "Rick" character.

 

"You're right man, its not just about us" Jason replied softly "I...I didn't think there were any kids left".

Jason moved up behind Donovan and waited for his order, his hand still warily kept on his machete.

"If you think they can help... Im fine with them joining us." Jack said, eyeing Rick cautiously.

 

"We need to move soon though... It wont be long until that herd of walkers catches up with us."
