Yeah, Blood Dragon was basically a love letter to the 80s with random references everywhere and the awesome soundtrack by Powerglove, a band named after the NES accessory.

And it was longer than a CoD SP campaign for only $15. I hope they do something with BD and FC4.

And yeah, I haven't watched anything Avatar related for years but the game looks cool. If it goes on sale, I'll definitely pick it up.

Because sales are gonna happen.

You just watch.

Interesting.

And I got like the whole series for less than 15 ;p, minus FC4 of course. But still kinda disappointing  to hear it's short.

And Legend of Korra is a great series, I've watched it and the original avatar, and I honestly think it tops even the original avatar series(which was awesome.)

But anyways, I don't want to sidetrack this discussion to much ;p.

Maybe if publishers didn't do underhanded shit like this all the time we wouldn't be so quick to pirate things we can't buy cheap on Steam or bundle sites.

Remember the DRM on the first Assassin's Creed that crippled legit copies of the game so bad the game could go from unplayable to smooth at 1080p and max settings if you cracked it out?

So, Nvidia released a patch that adds some kind of AA support to the Maxell cards. I went ahead and updated it but I have no idea what it does.

It adds Multi-Frame Anti-Aliasing to Maxwell, which is a new kind of AA. I dunno if any games have support for it yet though.

Also, I love how the comments are blaming the people that pirate the games instead of the shitty practices that lead to it.

Shadow of Mordor really does require a lotta VRAM. Here it is with Medium textures, which is recommended for 2GB cards. (Everything else is set to high)

I do like, though, how it's using all four cores and pretty much maxing out my GPU, and I'm still getting a good frame rate. Average FPS with rain is around 60, without is around 80.

Is it said The Evil Within uses more? It actually ate through all 2GB of the onboard and started using the shared at one point.

It's even sadder when you think about how low-resolution the textures in TEW are.

That's what get's me, it looks like a game from a 2012(Resident Evil 6 looks better in some ways), yet it runs worse than some of the real high-end stuff like Mordor and Ryse of Rome.

A game from 2009, actually. Some of those textures wouldn't be out-of-place in a game from 2004, even.

I almost want to have some hands on time the version on last-gen consoles to see how bad it is, if it chokes a 750ti(something that beats even the XboxOne, let alone the 360 or PS3), I'd hate to see how bad the FPS drops in a port running on last-gen hardware are.

It's been measured to use about 3.75 GB with the ultra pack. Not quite 6, but it's still a very pretty game.

This is what I meant my resource hog(and this isn't even the highest numbers it's put out)

So here's my adventure for today:

Got the SSD. I put it in my computer and fixed up my cable management a bit. Tried installing Windows 7, but it got stuck before the "install windows" screen came up.

Tweaked some motherboard settings. Still the same problem.

Unplugged my HDD. Still the same problem.

Re-inserted the installation disc. Still the same problem.

Switched SATA ports. Still the same problem.

Switched default boot devices. Still the same problem.

Used laptop to investigate the problem. Waited. Still the same problem.

Tried it again. Still the same problem. Start living up to the definition of insanity.

Take out installation disc. Find scratch. Use laptop to download and burn new ISO.

Look back at desktop computer.

koxpOqO.jpg

FINALLY! This just appeared out of nowhere. The installation CD wasn't even in there, but I left my computer running for 30 minutes.

Wait more. Re-insert scratched disc.

Get to next screen.

Wait more.

Still waiting...

Dear God, this is f*ing ridiculous.

I don't know why it's being this slow. I installed windows on here at least 3 times before, and none were like this. I already had it set to AHCI because of my last SSD, so I know that's not it.

Oh, and the installation CD that came with the SSD was cracked in half. Like, it's seriously in two pieces. Now, I wonder—if that got damaged, there's a chance my SSD could be damaged too, and that's what's causing this.

EDIT: Windows started installing but came up with an error. Can't install a required file: Error code 0x80070037.

This is going to sound weird, but have you tried reseating RAM, cables, anything that might've been knocked loose?

I remember the pre-SP1 WIndows 7 installer taking eons to boot because I had more than 4GB of RAM installed in my AMD board. This isn't going to be the same issue, but worth checking out if you're going to be in there again anyway.
