Maybe I'd give those a try if my PSU wasn't nestled in the top of my case with the cables side being hard to reach.

A case with a top-mounted PSU... I'd say that is something I haven't seen in a long time, but that'd be lying. I saw PCs like that earlier today.

It's the eidos anthology. 85 games for $207

I've never actually seen that, and are you sure some of it wasn't DLC? IIRC Eidos made Just Cause 2 which had a metric buttton of DLC.

Finally got around to ordering some Artic thermal paste cleaner and some thermal paste to reapply on my stock heatsink/fan.  Mind you I built this rig in the Summer of 2013, so a new coat of thermal paste is long overdue.

I used Arctic MX4 in my rig, I like it.

Yeah, I ordered this, hopefully everything goes alright, although may as well clean the dust out of my computer when I'm reapplying the thermal paste.

Also, anyone know good temp monitoring software for AMD CPUs?

Honestly, aftermarket paste like that is so much better than whatever Intel or AMD pre-applies on their stock coolers. I've been noticing idle temps anywhere from 5 - 10° lower than with the stock cooler... then again, I have a giant, dual-tower, dual-fan aircooler to go with it.

Pretty sure the gigantic cooler is responsible for your dip in temps.

Dust: An Elysian Tail is on sale for $3 via the Humble Store, I snagged me a copy because it looks pretty and has furries.

This one, imo, is the only one worth it. Has an okay processor, but a pretty great GPU and is fairly priced for what it has.

I mean, they're cool and all, shit, you can upgrade the CPU in them. But to me they're a waste of money and not a replacement for a true custom rig.

Well, nothing is. I mean, in the crash of 83, PC stayed alive.

Pfft, you could build a console-sized PC for $550 that's better than any of the Steam Machines priced under $800.

They should have a maximum of a $50 dollar markup for being prebuilt, not a $200+ dollar markup. Or else they're just not worth it.
