It's not going to be for gaming, it's going to be for making drawings and stuff on it.

The 1MS is just one good thing about it, it's pretty big for a 23 inch and its 1080p.

Both of them are ips monitors and both are great, but both are 100 dollars, was really hoping someone could shed some light on their experience with one of the two monitors to help me decide on which one I should get.

I guess I'll get the  vp2365wb tomorrow, hopefully it'll be good for what I'm going to do.

OK, so I recently placed an order for an ASUS VN247H-P. It looks like an amazing monitor, and I'm sure it's one I'll love.

However, I recently found a Logitech G27 Racing wheel used on amazon in like-new condition for 200 dollars, which is affordable if I cancel my monitor purchase.

Now my dilemma is, should I cancel the monitor order and get the G27, or wait until another used deal like this comes up [which probably won't be for a while]?

I guess I always could save up for a better monitor too. Thanks again guys XD

Man I can't wait till I can buy my own gorgeous build ^_^ Then I'll be able to embrace the PC Master Race :D

May I ask for the specs? No PC gamer should be ashamed to share their specs, no matter how high- or low-end it may be.

http://m.ebay.com/itm/331423713142 That's the one I have my eye on, but of course by the time I move I'll have plenty of time to look around and find a better one :)

A 6670 is archaic by today's standards, this is about as expensive and will get you much better performance at almost the same price.

Been seeing people at and around LinusTechTips suggesting that you avoid PCs on the AM3+ platform (e.g. AMD FX-4300/4350/6300/6350/8300/8350/8370) right now as the platform has a very uncertain future and no upgrade path in sight. If you don't mind building your own (it's not as hard as many people make it out to be or it seems, trust me), may I suggest something along the lines of this? It has an upgrade path, is powerful enough to game, and yet it won't put a huge hole in your wallet.

It has an upgrade path

lolwhut? Did I miss something?

That's a socket LGA 1150... which means it'll be obsolete by the time you want to upgrade. Is Intel going to start sticking with that socket now, instead of releasing a new one every year?

LGA1150 isn't being replaced until Skylake, which is still two generations away at this point. Broadwell is still using the socket.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely have a look at that video :D

And this is why you don't ever buy a pre-built desktop. I don't even know if you can properly call it a desktop, as it has a laptop processor and power supply and zero expansion. SATA cable for the mech drive isn't even plugged in!

The downside to building yourself though is all the room for error. At the same time, that's a risk I'll always take knowing I'm getting the parts I want in there.

Oh god. I'm actually watching this and yeah he's got a serious laptop power supply! What the heck?? Hahahaha!!

I was afraid of that to, but it was much easier then expected to assemble this thing and I now have the benefit of knowing my system inside and out.

It's a learning thing too. I learned about 80% of what I know about computers now by just getting in there and building it.

I'm pretty sure they left out so much to leave you miles of room to upgrade...

Right?....

You could fit 6 gfx cards in that thing for SLI madness

Oh and that disconnected HDD cable...

Only two SATA ports, both of which are occupied. No PCIe slots. It also uses a dinky little laptop power supply to go with that 15W, 1.5GHz APU. With single-channel RAM. There's no expansion at all lmfao

Oh yeah, here's part 2, where the guy tries building a better desktop for less.

What they could have done is use a smaller case and put better hardware in there and kept it at the same price point. Regardless, I haven't bought an HP product in a long time besides printer ink. I plan to keep it that way. If I have to replace my printer, it's definitely not going to be HP. My dad has an HP Envy printer and the UI is clumsy and the touchscreen is less accurate than a shotgun from half a mile. IMO HP is the bottom of the barrel. I'd sooner buy an Apple than an HP.

I don't know who this computer would apply to except those who haven't done their homework on it and saw what others were saying about it and they think all computers are created equally. If that's true then I got seriously ripped off when I built my rig for what 3 of these things cost. I think I'm going to complain to ASUS, AMD, Corsair, and Newegg now.

My jaw dropped when he opened the case and the mobo was the size of a VHS tape. Of course, I'm not surprised. It's a $329 metal box (calling it a computer would be an injustice to all the good computers out there).

Geez...you can build a better computer for $329 and even have a video card in there and some room to upgrade.

My dad has an HP Touchpad. We're probably gonna replace it with either a Windows or Android Asus tablet soon. Asus has been under fire for questionable customer support and quality control lately, but I'd sooner trust them with anything than HP. I love my Asus mobo, though.

That computer is just sad, I'm watching right now and I almost broke down when he said there was an even cheaper model than that POS.

It's like a netbook in a desktop case.

So, I set up a budget gaming rig that's as cheap as possible without compromising a framerate of 60 on most games set to medium settings. If anyone has suggestions as to how to build it better for about the same cost, please tell!
