gaming Recommend me some cool Ps3 JRPG's

Tales of Xillia 1&2: Great games of course make sure you play the first one because there are a lot of things you will not understand in the second if you don't. The second one is a lot darker than the first, it presents a lot of complex ethical and philosophical issues.

Tales of Graces F: It is a remake of a game that never made it to the US which is why it has a "F" after it, it has a rather interesting fantasy and sci fi mix to it.

Eternal Sonata: It is a very trippy and interesting take on what famous composer Frederic Chopin must have been dreaming about this one time he was gravely ill.

Tales of Graces: F is one of my fav games. ^_^

Here's a link to the game's opening movie:

Be sure to turn off annotations, and try to avoid the temptation of looking at any other cutscene vids, cause the other ones have major spoilers. >_<

I'm still kinda bummed that the US version can't get the Miku costume for Sophie, tho. >_<

Tales of Xilla came out after Tales of Graces: F. I liked the first Xillia game, for the most part, but am having problems getting into the second one. >_>

You can also pick up Tales of Symphonia Chronicles for the PS3, while you are at it. It has both Tales of Symphonia games, and they are in HD.

If you have an XBOX 360, you could also pick up Tales of Vesperia, while you're at it. XD

But, hey, to make a long story short, I'd recommend playing Tales of Graces: F, first.

It has the best after-battle quotes.

:)

I bought a ps3 6 months ago to get into JRPG's from the console's release till now, I like action/turn based JRPG's but not so strategy RPG's. Can you recommend me some games?

My bro claims to have a blast with Tales of Xilia. I have played however, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Man, I love that game, and you can still find it at Gamestop stores, and it's pretty very cheap, too cheap for all the game has to offer

I second the PS3 Tales games, as well. I think Xillia 2 is my favorite of them, but you have to play the first one first.

I would also suggest Child of Light and the Atelier series (Rorona, Totori, Meruru, and Escha&Logy). I also tell everyone to play Valkyria Chronicles, but you said you're not big on strategy games. It puts a little different spin on strategy/tactical games as compared to say Disgaea, so maybe check out a gameplay video (early levels so you don't spoil yourself!) and see if you'd like it.
