Intro:

The industrial revolution… (Only 50 years since the show timeline) New cities, towns and settlements have spurred; new technology has been presented to the world of Equestria. However, with these new times, new dangers appear to the world.

Recently, the entrovoric plague has proved a threat, with papers warning those at risk, quarantines and mass hysteria. Equestria was nearly thrown into disaster but with a huge amount of luck, it was eradicated within 5 years, almost too good to be true. Life returned to normal just as soon as it had spun out of control; but no one was out of the woods yet.

Only 2 years later a new strand of the plague threatens the utopia again. In NewStart, a fairly large farming town (one of the few that is free of factories) an evolved plague has struck. No one knows how it’s appeared once again; but one this is for sure, the Equestrian government isn’t going to take chances this time. Before a hoof is raised, the town is put into quarantine. The government is doing its best to pretend that it has disappeared; even faking that it still is sending out supplies. Anyone trying to escape is either destroyed by the land mines or killed off with toxic gasses. And they’re doing a good job, because no one knows the chaos in NewStart.

No one drops off supplies, not even the government; and NewStart is left on its own. Crime and unspeakable violence has erupted in the town, entire districts being destroyed by criminals, or ponies that have gone insane. Furthermore, the plague has transformed into something so evil, it feels as if its witchcraft…

Lucid opened his eyes to see a small nightstand. He had not seen a desk when he had passed out 3 days earlier. The sudden sight of new surroundings caused him to panic for a split second that felt like a full 60 seconds. He calmed himself and once his body and mind decided that the foreign place of awakening was safe, he looked around.

Lucid was in a small room, the room was painted blue and had splotches of brown dust. The stallion sat up to see that this was a makeshift clinic. There were a few supplies, clipboards, a desk with files and medical books.

Lucid now remembered what had happened. He remembered that the day he passed out the town received word that they were in quarantine. He remembered that once the entire place went to chaos he was knocked over and trampled by a panicked villager. All of his memories came back to him.

He remembered that he moved to this town 1 year ago, it was a pleasant looking place. No factories but it had a good population. He never felt lonely or too crowded.

Lucid remembered why he ran away to this town…

“But that isn't important right now,” he thought as he looked at his cutie mark.

Lucid wondered why he woke up here and not a hospital. He got up, noting that there was an IV holding stand but he had no intravenous in his limb. He looked down and saw that the needle at the end of the IV was on the floor, slightly blood stained. Upon inspection his limb, which seemed to have a small scar, he came to the conclusion it must have been ripped out when he was asleep. “But why?”

He looked to the wall and observed that there were a few holes and bloodstains, even more curious. Lucid got up, feeling uncomfortable; not only did he feel uneasy of the odd room that he was in. He also hadn't had any food, water or used any hygienic facilities the entire time he was asleep.

He finally got up after sitting in bed for a minute, wondering what was going on. He took a look at his medical log.

“OCT 3 - Out cold for awhile, might be out for up to 3 days. No sign of concussion but the patient seems to be having a sort of fever. I’ll be using some of the water to clean him,” it read. Lucid noticed he was much cleaner than he was when he was knocked out." Lucid kept reading.

“OCT 4 – Still out cold, he seems to have caught the dreaded plague; I’m putting the patient on a heavy dose of Germ-Blocker… (Note: 5:00 PM) It seems that the patient has avoided the plague; it also seems he hasn't built any sort immunity due to his heavy Germ-Blocker support and can still catch it again. I’ll be taking a few blood samples and looking into what I can find about this mutated strand. It seems I feel a bit feverish myself… I hope I didn't catch the plague…”

Lucid got up after reading this note grabbing his saddle bag, which the doctor must have kindly left next to his bed. He got up and left his room, seeing a small hallway. Lucid was in an abandoned house. Some pony had been here not too long ago, and some sort of struggle must have happened.

Times sat in a tree, where he was safe, hopefully. He picked his teethed with his survival knife. He leaned back and said "I can't believe how much everything has changed... I hope my friends are okay..." He said before looking at the ground and climbed down the tree. He  tried to look on the bright side 'at least i'm still alive!' But He doesn't want to live if he knew his friends were gone, the only thing that keeps him going is the thought that his friends are still alive.

He looked forward and started walking. He had no idea where he was or where he was going, He just wanted to find someplace safe, somewhere, that he can call home, somewhere... safe. He looked at his leg, a bandage was wrapped around his leg. He had fallen out of a window and had a deep cut on his leg. He used what little supplies he had to treat it.

Times took off his glasses and looked at them, the right lens was cracked. He tapped the lens and it cut his hoof. He looked at the small cut and saw as blood slowly began to ooze out. "Damn..." He said before wiping away the blood and tore a piece of cloth from his saddlebag and put on his hoof to cover the cut.

Stormlight looks upon a broken clock afixed on the wall, feeling light-headed, yet catious of what might go on outside her house. It wasn't long since the plague took everpony she loved and cared about away from her. Sighing she looks at herself in the mirror; mane is messier than usual. With a sneering look on her face, she wanted to punch the mirror, but she knew that it would be a waste of time.

She sighs out, "Why did I have to be the one who suffers this much pain?". Then, she remembers that each of them said the same last words..."Live Stormlight, live" It wasn't like she was going to succumb to death that easily, she wanted to die knowing she was worth something.

When needed, she only goes outside to find resources for her to survive. All her supplies are with her and inside her saddle bag. Bringing out her only weapon, the knife was stained with dry blood. Flashes of an infected pony chasing her went on in her mind, how it tried to attack her. Seeing how a single knife can easily pierce skin was something really fascinating for her. She grins and continues to practice her combat skills, keeping in mind that she won't trust anypony, and no mercy will be given whatsoever...young or not.

"I am not going to die...not yet,", she continues to repeat in her head.

Sitting on one of the many barns that resided in newstart's borders, Bright Spark could get a fairly good look at what was once a moderately active town. Plenty of fields, a small farmers market; it was a place you would visit to escape from the sprawling cities, and ever expanding metropolises, and Bright Spark hated it.

The idea of a city without industry unnerved him. While the large industrial constructs and vast commercial districts weren't exactly safe, it gave him comfort being able to easily progression in modern life. The idea that equestrian kind were advancing at such a rate, and delving into greater and greater feats, made him feel like he had accomplished things many may not, and seen advancements that will change the future. Of course, having assisted in designing these feats may have helped in that feeling.

" You need to take a brake, you say. Go Relax in the country you say. Absolute crap!" Bright Spark spat off the edge of the barn as he cursed. "Yeah cause dealing with all this is really relaxing. I mean hell, if the constant worry of death wasn't enough, then all the murderers and thieves make this trip even more casual!" Bright Spark groaned and got to his hooves, pulling the ladder off the barn and climbing down. Sure, thing are terrible, but at least the virus won't get near her...

With the sound of her hooves barely able to be heard on the soft ground, Blossom walked through the seemingly barren and empty town, a tattered green saddle bag containing her items. But she held the survival knife close to her in case of an attack.

"Of all the times to fall asleep on a train, Blossom," She muttered to herself. She was originally from Appleloosa and had planned to visit her aunt and uncle in Fillydelphia, but that hadn't worked out. She had managed to fall asleep on the train and wake up only to find herself on the last stop the train had, Newstart. It didn't look like a bad town, no industries and seemingly friendly people. Blossom decided to stay a few nights since the next train to Fillydelphia was days away, but that was before the infection started to spread madly and the entire town was sent into lock down. And Blossom was trapped.

Blossom was able to jump on to a small branch on a tree near by and climb onto the closest branch above. She used the knife firmly secured in her hoof to saw off the low branch to assure that no infected ponies could reach her. They were smarter than she had bet on, and she needed to think resourcefully and quickly if she wanted to survive anyway.

"EW. EWEWEWEWEWEWEW." Was the only thought going through Lily's mind at the moment. She cautiously poked the empty shell of what used to be a pony in front of her to make sure it was really dead. She wasn't big on fighting to begin with, she could hold her own but typically she considered that a bad idea. What had just happened though was way too much even for her. She kicked it hard one last time and looked it over. "I should've just stayed in the forest, it was death either way but at least I wouldn't have had to fight...these things for it." She thought sadly.

Lily wiped her hooves on the ground and quickly gave herself a once over to make sure she wasn't hurt in any way. Once she was happy none of the various fluids her any of hers she quickly darted back into the shadows of an alleyway she was sure was clear and laid down against a wall panting. Ever since the infection started she'd only had to fight a couple of times and she didn't enjoy either one. She did her best to be stealthy but failure usually ended up like that. These things were like nothing like what she'd had to deal with in the past. She slowly got up once she had rested and started making her way down the alley. She was determined that nothing else would she her. She'd stick to the roofs and shadows, stopping only for what she needed. Her theory was if you keep moving there's no way anything can find you.

Fire Lily came to Newstart by way of Ponyville. Realizing her chances at fitting into such a close knit town where everyone knew everyone where pretty much slim to none, and after a long stretch of finding no decent work, she decided to move on. Friends never really were her thing to begin with and she saw no need to start there. Her first clue that something was wrong started on the train. Something about some infection, cured but came back, was all she heard. She never was involved in world events though, only hearing about a changling from some purple alicorn back in Ponyville. She stuck to herself and liked it that way and figured worse case scenerio she might be able to get to work on a farm. Only a couple days later though she had realized what kind of mistake she had made. She'd barely gotten the layout of the city when everything came crashing down.

((Population of the town: 600))

Lucid began to walk downstairs. No one seemed to be around. As Lucid came to the bottom floor he looked from side to side. He smelt something odd, something that smelt horrible. He looked down to see a Shell, the shell of a pony, wearing a lab coat. There were no eyes, only black sockets. The body looked like a wrinkled prune, it looked frail, if one would touch it: it would probably cave in a little with a crackling sound. He saw blood. This pony was murdered somehow, but before then he was infected.

Lucid was horrified. He reared up and jumped back, throwing up lightly on the floor. He franticly ran outside, feeling the lack of control one would feel when they’re having a nightmare. He looked around at the empty streets.

@,

Times could make out a 3 white, fat worms that had red mouths. Flesh worms. They were the fattest he'd ever had seen. They were too stupid to notice that he was in a tree. But these worms could smell his blood, and began to crawl around franticly, looking for its next meal; he heard a yell of distress in the distance but that wasn’t the first thing to think about

@,

Stormlight could see a mare and a stallion in the street, they were strolling, whispering to each other, they’re hoofs we’re muddy but they obviously weren’t infected. A small filly trotted behind them; her face was tearstained.

@,

The town square was large. Chains could see around 15 ponies walking around. None of these ponies knew that Chains was a thief but avoided him and avoided each other. One pony was covered in blood, a bottle of hard apple cider in his hoof, his chest was ripped open and the smell was even more horrible than most of the town.

@,

A few rats were scurrying around a dead cow, too interested in the corpse to pay mind to Bright Spark. The town was a big town, not the biggest but enough for one to get easily lost. Grey clouds littered the sky, it seemed as if the sun never existed. No one seemed to be around, if Bright went much farther from the town he’d run into the gas bombs.

Blossom could hear a scream and gunshots. The gunshots stopped. A few infected ponies ran around the corner, looking up and blossom. The zombie-like ponies tried jumping up, they thankfully weren’t pegasi, only ground ponies, but they were fast ponies, and wanted to kill something soon.

A pony was walking toward Lily, swaying lightly, a stallion with a horrible smirk. Sometimes taking sips from a canteen, he looked over at Lily and trotted to her. “Ohhh, a big ugly corpse, eh city girl?” his voice was malevolent. The ponies face had a few mud stains, mixed with dried blood, he wasn’t infected, and after all, the infected didn’t talk. But he looked dirty enough to be infected

Ocean Melody sat inside the crumbling building that he was staying in, alone with his thoughts. "Some day, I hope, the goverment will come and save all of us from this  horror. Oh, why, out of all the places, was the one place I decided to stop at the one that had to get infected." Ocean thought quietly to himself, "Why couldn't been some other place such like Appleloosa or Yawnhoover."

Ocean Melody was on his way back from visting Manehatten when he stopped at Newstart. He was only going to stay there for a couple days, because it was so quiet and peaceful, but then the plague hit, and the goverment closed down the borders. At first Ocean was in shock. In his own words "I don't have the plague; I should be aloud to move on out of here." After he finally finished brooding about his predicament, he decided to actually make some use of himself and be light in the bleak and cold world they were all plunged into. Since then Ocean has been trying bring hope to those that need it while still trying away from the plagues, worms, and raiders. Although It has been getting very hard for him to keep a positive outlook. It seemed like the wasteland was stripping everything away about him that he held true to himself

Ocean quickly checked over his things and got ready to start heading out. He knew to stay alive he had to keep moving.

"Worms..." He said before looking forward, he wanted to try and fly away before looking at his body, bandages were wrapped around it. A few days ago, he was attacked by one of these blood worms and, to keep him from getting infected, he had his right wing amputated.

Times opened his saddle bag and pulled out a scarf and looked at it. It was a light blue color and had snowflakes on it. One of his friends gave him this scarf before Times had left to get supplies. He began to think about how they had even got here...

[FLASH BACK!]

Times and his two friends, Winter and Shadow, decided that they should take a vacation. That was when a harmless 3 day vacation, turned into a game of life or death...

[end of flashback]

While he was lost in thought, he realized the branch he was on was about to break. "Fuck!" He said before wrapping the scarf around his neck and pulling out his survival knife. He then jumped to another branch as the first branch finally broke and stabbed the knife into the tree and hanged there before pulling himself up.

"How the heck am I going to get out of this..." He said before taking the bloody cloth he had and threw it, waiting for them to go after it and once they did he ran, ran as fast as he could. He may have not been a very fast flyer but he was a fast runner.

He chose not to investigate the scream and decided to climb the branch of another tree.

Blossom let out a horrified scream as the three undead ponies wildly jumped around the tree. She anxiously and shakily sawed off all of the other low branches she could, one of the bigger ones falling onto one of the ponies bloody faces and knocking it unconscious, for the time being at least. Once she was high enough on a sturdy branch, the vicious ponies were still underneath, mindlessly jumping up and bucking at the tree as she held on for her life. If she were to fall off, she'd have to seriously make a run for it, but Blossom hoped that eventually they'd smell some other prey and give up on her.

Other gunshots and screeches of pain and misery were heard from the tree top she was standing on. It was difficult to balance, but it was better than on the ground where the infected ones could get her. She overlooked the bleak town and nervously felt the small vibrations from the infected ponies bucks on the tree in their attempt to knock her down. They were smart and she knew that, for being almost mindless creatures taken over by a parasitic organism, Blossom had surely underestimated them in the beginning.

Jumping down was not an option, she'd surely break something if she tried to get down on the ground with a single leap. And she did not have the supplies to heal herself if she did, and the infected would surely be able to catch up to her and eat her if she was running on a broken hoof. Climbing down and jumping from a lower branch wasn't the best idea either. One misguided step, and she would become those ponies next lunch. So for now, she was stuck.

Chains Looked around the town Center, The Sight of these Ponies Disgusted him, but one with a ripped chest was by far the worst, Chains only assumed that this Injured Pony was most likely Infected and Was unsure of what to do, which didn't happen often.

Chains looked at the Revolver in his hoof and back up to the badly injured Pony, he saw two options at that moment, he could shoot the guy, to end his suffering at least but that would Attract Attention, or he could just avoid him, make his way around, but if he did that and the guy was Infected, he would be leaving him to Suffer, and maybe even him Hurting or even Killing somepony else when he did turn.

Chains knew he had to decide quickly on his next move, but he had to think this through, what he did next could affect the out come of this whole situation, and his chances of survival.

-Narration-

"Now one of our Heroes of this story must make a choice, will he be able to Live with himself afterwards, or will guilt or maybe even Corruption be his downfall, will chains kill the Injured pony, will he Leave him be, will I be back later, well that depends on if our listeners want me to return"

"I'm Morgan Ponyman, have a pleasant evening folks, and hopefully we'll meet again next episode"

Stormlight tries to stop crying, even if she did continue that would just waste energy. Taking deep breathes, and resumes practicing her combat skills. She knows if she had to help others, they'll just have the same fate her loved ones did. "It's better, if I just...just...aw, damn it!", she curses out as she gave in. Just by looking at the family made her think of what used to be her's. Carefully, she goes up to them outside and asks if they need any type of assistance, and whether or not they are infected. During this her darkest memories came back to haunt her...

It was on a rainy day, Stormlight, some of her friends and parents thought it would be fun to spend time away from Ponyville...only to find out this town of NewStart became a quarantined mess. Rough decisions were have to be made, for each one of them started to just drop like flies. All leaving her and her parents to be the last ones left. Storm tried her best to keep from the plague to getting to them, but it seemed like she was too late. Those words always replayed in her mind till this very day. She knew she was not going to come back to Ponyville, her coltfriend will be very devastated that she's gone. If only luck was with her...

She came back to what is the poor and tragic reality. "S-Sorry about that, but if you would need any help, I would be willing to,", she slowly offers.

Lily's mind was a flash of thoughts, fear, panic, but mostly now just indignent hate for the pony in front of her. She was many things but a city pony she most certainly was not. She had left Cloudsdale as soon as she was old enough to be on her own. Exiled by choice to smaller border towns. She hated everything about big cities, they just made her feel trapped and claustrophobic. She hated everything about them and the stuck up ponies in them getting in everyone's business but being unable to take care of their own.

However she realized three truths at the moment. First of all she was presently unarmed and was unlikely to find anything worth using in the near future. Secondly the tone in his voice showed he surely meant more harm than good. Third, she clearly had already made too much noise and therefore time was clearly not on her side. However she was not about to let such an insult go unattended to either. Knowing only time will tell how foolish of a choice this is she decided to stand her ground.

Lily spread out her legs and unfurled her wings, preparing for either a quick charge or more than likely a quick get away if she had any choice. She didn't know if the stranger had wings but surely she could outrun him since he appeared to be more weighted down than she was.

"How. Dare. You." She said trying to seem tough but not wanting to antagonize him into a real fight either. "I'll have you know I haven't seen any kind of big city in years. I can't stand those city ponies. I stick to myself and I like it that way. Even before this whole...mess." She let out an irritated huff. "Now that we've gotten that out of the way, what exactly do you want?"

Bright Spark took a quick loom around the barn one last time, just to ensure he hadn't missed any food or items of use. Upon full inspection of the barn, he was disappointed. The least they could've done was stash some water somwhere...

Bright Spark had a look around for any area he could check nearby. There was always the central part of town, surely there was somepony willing to share a drink. Of course Bright Spark had some water, but he would wait a day at best before getting to those. He could always head further out, but that would pose many more risks than rewards. Although the rewards could be pretty good...

No, it would be better to live than to go any further. If he needed to, he could always hide back here. While the owner of this barn may still be alive, Bright Spark doubted he would be able to do anything, or risk getting injured by a pony sleeping in a glorified shack.

After making a quick mental note of the area, the cyan pony headed to the town, being cautious as to what he stepped in or got close to, making sure to stay clear of any corpses that were near. While a dead pony posed no threat, there could always be something lurking within them that did, or maybe carried diseases.

(Sorry it took so long guys, I’m going to start keeping notes on supplies)

It took a minute for Lucid to calm down, he heard gun shots. This panicked him further, Lucid saw a pony not too far, a pony with an orange mane ((Orange Blossom)) that was in a tree with 2 deformed ponies trying to buck it down. Lucid eyed these awful ponies and his eyes widened. None of the ponies over near the tree could see him yet, not likely. Lucid had to choose if he should help or if he should stay safe.

@,

The streets were empty. A few locked buildings surrounded the area; it wasn’t easy to tell whether or not these buildings were inhabited and if looting them was something justified to do. The sounds of howling dogs filled the air.

@,

The worms took a bit of time to realize that times was changing positions, they started to climb up both of the trees, not sure which one to attack in. The worms didn’t make the best pace but they were good climbers for worms.

It didn’t seem like any more ponies where coming, the gunfire stopped temporarily, then started again. By now another pony needed to at least distract her. This wasn’t a movie or a book; she was going to die if she didn’t think this through. Only 2 ponies were a problem for now.

(Make sure you read Lucid’s story above)

@,

Despite the face the pony was barely surviving. He was still loot-able, Chains needed to make a choice. It was all his.

@,

The father turned to her. “I’m so sorry. Our little daughter needs germ blocker. She might be infected, a diseased pony vomited on her. W-we have a little food. We got no money. But we will do anything… anything just for one.”

(Stormlights inventory: as you posted on the thread,

•1 Survival Knife

•1 first aid kit

•4 Food Rations

•2 Clean Water Ration

No germ blocker as of now)

The stallion smiled, Lily could see all the terrible things he had done to the innocent just in his smile. “I don’t know, maybe supplies... or… Maybe something my mother told me I shouldn’t talk about in public,” his eyes were wild. The stallion, which appeared to be a unicorn, grabbed Lily’s mane with his hoofs and tried to pin her down. He was looking to kill. He had lost his mind not to the plague but to insanity.

@,

A rat began to race towards Bright, eyes red, it was looking to try and harm him. The rat was larger than most rats and was noticeable.

Times grabbed some twigs off the tree and began sharpening them with his knife. He then took some blood from his cut onto the tip and threw one. He missed, only scraping the side of the worm. He then threw another one, hitting this time. "Worms-eye!" He said before breaking a piece of bark of and throwing it. He hit the other one but just knocked it off instead of killing it.

He took a longer, sturdier stick and made it straight. He then used a piece of cloth to make a spear out of it and his knife. "Come any closer and I will make you into a Kabob!" He said to the worm. He got in position to stab it, as soon as it begins climbing again. He tied the knot on the spear tight but if he hit the tree, he would lose his knife and all he could do would be to hit the worm with the branch. He then slowly began to climb to a higher branch while keeping an eye on the worm. "Stay back! I'm warning you! I taste really bad! My blood is 45% Maple Syrup... that's not helping is it...."

He pulled the scarf over his mouth and nose. He felt his heart racing, adrenaline, rushing through his veins. He could have never imagined that his biggest battle... was with a worm.

Blossom spotted a blue pony from a distance and tried to weigh her options. She could call out for the pony to help her, possibly they would be willing to slay the ponies underneath the tree. Or she thought that possibly they would kill the ponies and then kill her. It was a possibility she couldn't ignore. She also thought about possibly driving the infected ponies towards him so she could make a break for it, everyone for themselves, right?

When finally she couldn't bare staying in the shivering tree for much longer, she cleared her throat and braced herself for either life or death. "Help! Please, somebody!" She screamed out into the bleak sky. She saw the blue pony look her way and evaluate her situation, probably wondering if she was worth saving or if he should just leave her for dead. The undead ponies were bucking at the tree wildly to hopefully knock her down and gobble her up but she still saw the blue pony frozen in place, wondering what he was to do in the situation in front of him.

"Somebody! Anybody!"  Blossom yelped as she felt an especially hard buck and the branch she was standing on start to crack

Stormlight looks downs and sighs, she didn't even have the item they needed. "Frick...I really am sorry, but I don't have any germ blocker. But I think I could go around town and find some, I promise. You can stay inside my house for now until I come back, alright?" she explains to the father while looking at the daughter. From her appearance she could be infected, but then again it's better to be safe than sorry. She lets the family into her home and instructs them to stay safe, until she gets the germ blocker.

Searching high and low, she starts to think of their daughter how she reminded her of herself as a young filly. She tries to stop and focuses on the task at hand. Making sure she doesn't get jumped on, she holds the survival knife just in case.

"Damn it...where the hell can I find germ blocker?" she asks herself. If she was unsuccessful in her search, the only choice was to raid somepony...all for that little filly.

Suddenly, she hears a scream, somepony crying for help. Should she go to them? Grunting, she flies quickly and sees two horrid looking ponies by a tree, with a mare hanging from a weakening branch. She took her chances and depacitates the two attacking deformed ponies with a fast slice to the neck.

Ocean knew it would probably be best for him to stay away from the dogs. There was a time when He might have investigated, but that was a long time ago, and who knew if the dogs were infected. Even though he was in need of food and water he didn't want to run the risk of intruding into another ponies home or worse running into a plagued pony. He wanted to try to stay close to buildings, but that limited him a lot on space. Underneath his breath he mutters  "Oh, what are you going to do Ocean. You could try picking a lock on one the doors with your survival knife and risk breaking and jamming the lock, or you could try to go out into the wild and risk plague, worms, and dogs, or you could stop talking to yourself for once."

After much contemplating over the issue, Ocean decided on going out into the wild. "Who knows there may be others ponies out there. Ugh there I go again."

Amidst all this thinking, he completed forgot all about the dogs he had heard earlier. Until he heard a growling sound about 2 feet behind him. "Shit" he was so deep in concentration that he didn't even hear it come behind him. He slow turned around to assess how bad of a situation he was in. Thankfully it was only one, but most likely there were others around. The dog didn't look diseased it just looked hungry, hungry enough to eat a pony. Before it charged at him Ocean ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He wasn't sure where he was going; he just knew he had to get away from those dogs.

When he figured it was safe to stop and catch his breath, he quickly looked around trying to figure out where the buck he had gotten himself. He was in part of the town he'd never seen. Glad to be rid of the dog for the time being he sat down and looked around at where he was and tried to figure out what to do, now that he was lets say lost.

Lily stared deeply into the stallions eyes. A world she had left far behind a lifetime ago came back in one instant. Images flashed through her brain as time seemed to stop, a black stallion and a yellow filly with red tipped wings in particular. She had fought so hard back then, and failed spectacularly. She swore to herself she would not do so again, she couldn't save them, but at the very least she could save herself. Far off in the distance she smelled something burning, she wasn't sure if it was a house in flames by the gangs or something much closer.

The longer she stared the less she saw. She gazed into an abyss, but little did he know the abyss gazed back. Lily might not have strength on her side, but she had determination. To her his eyes appeared empty, not deep pools like most ponies, but flat as paper. She saw no intellegence or spark in them that shows in ponies that were alive. She knew there was no saving him, this place had destroyed him a long time ago. She sighed heavily imagining his loss, as she promptly flapped her wings giving her a just enough of an advantage to slam her head into his, directly under the base of his horn, hoping the headache would disable his magic for a couple minutes.

As he reeled back she had to think of something fast, it wouldn't be long before the infected showed up from all the noise, or perhaps another pony she didn't want to run into, or worse yet both, and would give her a whole new set of problems to deal with. The odds were very clearly not in her favor today anyway. She glanced around quickly and saw a nearby trashcan. She took this chance to buck it with all of her might at his head, hoping that just maybe his horn would get stuck inside of it.

Sticking around to find out the results was not on her to do list though as she flapped as hard as she could to get up onto the nearest rooftop. As she layed there panting she took a quick tally of her physical state. Aside from being completely exhausted and a headache of her own, she figured that there wasn't much of any permanent physical harm done. She rested her head on her hooves and a single small tear fell from one of her eyes. She might have been a loner but she typically hated seeing other ponies in trouble, and the look in his eyes brought back bad memories as well. She sniffed a little and wiped her eyes, hoping nopony saw this moment of weakness.

Bright Spark could feel a switch in his right ear as an ever faint pitter patter of tiny feet approached him. Turning to the source of the noise, he could see a fairly large rat running towards him. Disgusting creatures; little more than carriers of death, and disease. Bright Spark put his sword down for a moment, and picked up the nasty thing. It smelled as bad as it looked. Bright Spark gave it a though look, after all, he was holding it, so he can do what he wanted to.

"You're disgusting, you know that? Complete waste of time. I mean look at you, going around aimlessly, looking for food an water. The only thing you'll be getting is a quick death." With that, Bright Spark snapped the neck of the rat clean, leaving him with a limp, smelly rat. It also left him the realization he had just been talking to said rat maybe those comments weren't aimed at the rat, but maybe at himself...

Bright Spark shook his head lightly and threw the rat away from himself. Insulting himself wasn't a very smart decision to make, and he had a town to get the the center of after all. Lifting his sword up onto his shoulder, Bright Spark continued, until evittually hr had made it!

"You really are fond of chatting with me, aren't you? If I didn't know better, I'd think you had feelings for me!" Solaire of Astora.

@,

(By the way, Stormlight killed the INFECTED, not blossom)

Lucid jumped back at the Pegasus, he was about two hundred or so meters away. He started to back up. “What’s going on...” Lucid was unaware of the state of the town.

@,

No one was coming to Time’s help… He had to win this alone.

@,

Ocean could smell ashes, burnt wreckage and wood.  On his right, he could see an entire district – neighborhoods, streets, stores – an entire area of the town was burnt to the ground.

@,

Bright saw a bridge leading deeper into the town. The fields where blowing in the wind.

Lily could hear a few more hoof steps, the stallion struggled to get up, then passed out. He was left there for dead, upon further inspection… The horn broke off. Not too far was the what used to be the flower district, now it was a thief’s den. There was no hope for anypony who would go in.

@,
((it’s your turn. Please respond))

Hey guys, I made a town map for everyone to use. It's bad I know, I'll make a better version soon.

IMPORTANT: This shows only major locations, all the districts have small houses, buildings and buisnesses scattered like a normal city, I only drew the major areas.

Panting, Stormlight slows down and looks up, seeing what seems to be a blue stallion from far away. Not sure if a threat or not, she just returns to what she has done to save the mare from the infected ponies. Her knife was stained with crimson red liquid, which she cleans by rubbing it against the coat of the dead pony. Just looking at how horrid they look, it made her disgusted on the inside, as for the outside, Storm just sneers at the dead pony then looks at the mare from the moving branch.

Nice, just in time, too. She doesn't look like a threat...maybe I can ask her, she thinks catiously.

Slowly she puts her knife away and catched the mare before she fell down to her death. She didn't care how long it would take, she just needed the germ blocker for the little filly. Carefully, Stormlight lands her back on the solid ground, and sighs. Clearing her throat, she gives a cheery yet serious tone to show she means business.

"Um...excuse my intrusion back there, I just couldn't leave somepony to die a pointless death like that. I'm Stormlight," she says directly, then continuing. "So, you wouldn't by any chance have some germ blocker on you right now? It's really urgent that I get it to my...uh, little sister in time,"

Little sister...huh? When did that happen? she asks herself.

Blossom's hooves were quaking and she put her survival knife away after seeing the grey pony in front of her the same. Realizing the pony meant to be peaceful and was only trying to get help for her... sister. Blossom's eyes narrowed to slits, not so convinced to give away her only germ blocker to somepony who she just met five seconds ago.

"But she just saved your life...It's only fair to repay her by saving someone else's life for her", part of her self conscious said to her. The unnamed blue pony just stood a distance behind them, trying to figure out what had happened, but Blossom knew as much as he did. The grey pony just stared at her anxiously, waiting for a response, but Blossom was stuck. What if an infected pony got her? She'd have no defense against them besides her knife and hooves, the germ blocker could save her if she was in that situation. Blossom reached into her bag, secretly tucking the germ blocker underneath a few rations of food. She pretended to scrunch her nose up in thought before snapping the bag back and shaking her head.

"I used up my last one up there. I didn't know if I was going to fall or what, but I wanted to be prepared in case I did..." Blossom lied straight through her teeth, and her conscious took a huge blow from seeing the broken look on the other ponies face, but she then turned to the blue pony, which made Blossom just hope he was nice enough to give her one.
