Tehret decided he'd handle answering the questions for both of them as long as he knew the answer. "I'm air and fire. Not that great with either, though. Aonani is just air. We were talking about that just a minute ago, actually. What about you? What element do you use?"

"Oh, nothing to worry about there... It is  a busy day after all, unless I'm mistaken." he said, before stretching an arm upwards, using the other to cover a yawn.

"I guess I should go check on the dorm I'm in charge of... Unless I am mistaken of this as well." he continued, giving off a light smile and a shrug.

Sanuye's amber eyes lit up and she jumped up from the bed in excitement.

"You're a Fire/Airbender too?" she asked eagerly. "That's what I am! I'm not really great at either... uh, either. I grew up in the Fire Nation and my dad was the only Firebender I knew, and I've never met a fellow Airbender before. I haven't had much training."
Aonani smiled and raised her hands to sign, [i am a weak Airbender myself. It's interesting that all three of us have Airbending abilities.]
Sanuye stared at the mute girl in confusion, then pointedly looked at Tehret for a translation.

Tehret looked back at her in confusion for a minute before he got the message. Even though he'd only been with Aonani for a few minutes, it already felt so naturally to him interpreting her signs as words that he barely realized he was doing it, and it felt the same as talking to anyone else. "Oh, right! Aonani says she's an airbender too, but a weak one. She also thinks it's interesting that all three of us are airbenders, and I have to agree. Especially that you and me are the same. We can all train and get stronger together. It'll be fun."

He frowned behind his suitcase as he saw the teacher gathered in front of his dorm. "I didn't get in trouble already did I?" They left then and Sha looked at Vi. "That and the weird guy with the police makes this place seem sort of suspicious don't you think? Ah, whatever... lets just get to our dorm before I do something else embarrassing..." It seemed to finally dawning on Sha that he was sharing a room with a girl, and that made him even more nervous about this whole experience. He sighed and hoped that she was getting the door.

Zhi Tun lead the way to his office and once there, he closed the door behind Xin Zi. The office had earthy tones to the walls with flecks of metal inlaid in the stone, thanks to the metalbenders who helped build the school. He had a modest desk with a fairly standard office chair behind it along with two cushioned seats in front. "Now," Zhi began after he sat behind his desk. "What questions did you want to ask me?"

Mah tapped her pen against the reception desk for a bit before suddenly asking Saito a question. "Saito, do you have a dorm to look after. Principal Tun doesn't tell me everything, only the basic stuff but I do know that teachers are meanto be in charge of dorms."

Kitska didn't smile at the two students, her demeanor was neutral, "Ah, Vi and Sha I've been waiting. It certainly took you two long enough to get here, were you familiarizing yourself with the school grounds or lollygagging?... Never mind, you arrived together and I can assume that the time you spent will only help you both develop as partners." She stepped aside gesturing for the students to enter the dorm room.

"I am Professor Kitska, I teach history and co-teach defensive bending; I am a master bender of both Earth and Water bending and available for coaching in either style during my office hours, as those are your elements I expect to see you there in the future; finally I am also the overseer to your dorm, you both are technically part of my team so I expect only the best from you... Principle Zhi has informed me your third dorm-mate has drop so it will be just the two of you sharing this room, you well have to put in extra effort being a man down AND no funny business is allowed!" Eet gave Mizuko a small smile, she seemed nice enough at least and she was a waterbender which instantly made him feel closer to her through that shared bond but she was a dual bender too! He had heard about how that could happen now, the idea that she could also bend earth was amazing!

"O-Oh wow. You can bend two elements, that's super cool. I... I can only bend water, but well I can plantbend but a lot of the swamp folk can do that so that's not that amazing, oh and I'm pretty good at heal but I bet you can do all that." Vi's first impression of the teacher was scary to say the least. She sat on one of the beds and placed her belongings on top of the sheets. "I think a tour around campus would be good. It seems so big I wouldn't know where to start." Vi said in a calm demeanor despite the fact that she was pushed into the room moments earlier. Looking over at Sha, she realised that she would be sharing a room wit ha boy. While this wasn't new to her it still seemed strange, considering they were practically the same age.

Sha put his things in his own bedroom after being shoved into the room and let Vi do all the talking. A tour around the school did seem like the best thing to do before the school's orientation after all. And the opportunity to experience these two people he was sure he was going to be spending a lot of time with seemed appropriate. However when they began the tour his curiosity seem to melt away a little of his nervousness. "I didn't know that there would be an overseer of the dorms, and you're a dual bender? Aonani's eyes lit up as soon as she saw the teacher's appearance. It was obvious what he was; he had the arrow tattoos of a master Airbender, and wore the clothes of the Air Nomads of old, much like she did. Her hands flew excitedly through the air, too fast for anyone to understand.

Eet raised an eyebrow at Mizuko, he hadn't expected to know something the other students didn't he figured they'd be trained and educated with everything he knew and more. "R-really? You hadn't heard of plants bending before? What do they try to teach you where you're from? Back home... In Foggy Swamp plant bending is really important so everyone tries to learn it." He smiles, "not everybody there learns any healing though I was training to be a shaman so I'm pretty good at it."

He looks around a bit, "I really want to see your mixed bending though. We could use water from our bathroom faucets and for earth... Well the floor is stone tiles but the school probably won't like breaking those, you could use so dirt from my pot?" He pointed at the potted miniature tree.

Kitska was currently walking her students through the hallways past the other dorm sections. She wanted them to know where the 'competition' was. She was beginning to like these two students, though she didn't show it, Vi seemed respectful and Sha was asking good questions. "Well you did not think the administration would simply leave its students to their own devices did you? Perhaps troublemakers will think twice before acting out knowing they have someone looking over their shoulder and if not they will get caught and given a proper punishment. You are not a troublemaker are you Sha?" She smirked, just the tiniest twitch at the corner of her mouth.

"As for the dual benders I would suggest neither of you worry two much about them. It is both a weakness and a strength, it is a distraction that will take years away from the ability and mastery of any element for the wielders. I was lucky learning water bending to almost a masters level at the North Pole before ever even encountering Earth to discover my power." She paused to stare at both of them with her piercing gaze for a moment, "but don't let that make you underestimate them, the combinations and novelty of two elements in tandem, even with less skill can catch the unprepared in a devastating way. Focus on your own elements and do not let slouch in your studies and you will find yourselves more than a match for any mixed bending students. Don't let the flashiness of a new style unbalance you, calm and focus can be a match for anything. Remember in the past even the Avatar with all four elements and the Avatar State has been challenged or even overwhelmed by masters of a single element..."

She stopped herself from continuing, and folded her hands behind her back, "Forgive me, I was starting to slip into a lecture for a moment there."

Vi thought over what the teacher said. She looked at the dorms and wondered if the rest of the dorms had dual benders in the rooms. "So what you're saying is that being a single bender is better than being a dual bender? Or is being a dual bender more advantageous because of them being able to bend two elements at once?" Vi asked a seemingly complicated question. It didn't sound that complicated to her thought patterns but she could have worded it better now that Vi thought it through. "Maybe I could have worded that better." Vi added.
