Lucky Star 972 November 25, 2014 Share November 25, 2014 (edited) Equestria daily has lots of useful guides for aspiring pony artist that you might "need" to look at! http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/01/pony-drawing-guides.html don't let anypony discourage you though, it is a good start. but I'm going to be honest like you asked and say that you could use a lot of practice! the head seems a little small, what might help is start your drawing head first and work your way to the rest of the pony. I've made that kind of error before and it usually happens when I start with the body! xD just know that nopony starts out doing everything perfect, it requires practice upon practice to get it just right, and you may need to find your own style to get there! something useful could be to look around at pony fan art and try a lot of different art styles so you can see which ones work out best for you. good luck! dragonsponies 101 November 25, 2014 Share November 25, 2014 (edited) yeah, the head is pretty small, i suggest drawing a circle for the head, the chest and the flank and then connecting them. that way the proportions kinda sort themselves out. but like lucky star said just keep practicing, eventually you'll get better. on the plus side the hooves look really good ^^ Edited November 25, 2014 by DubstepDrawingDragon i've been drawing for 3 years now practicing dragons and poniesi'd love it if you could check out my Deviantart or Tumblr. i also sell commissions right here on MLPForums, check it out! Lightning Bliss 1,674 November 25, 2014 Share November 25, 2014 @, As a pony artist myself, when I first started out drawing ponies, my OC started out like this: Now I can honestly say all my faults here: - Head and eyes way too big - Legs not long or fat enough, need to be more bell shaped - Body too small to support head She would later develop to this in a few weeks time after tedious practice: Then finally this: My point is... I didn't get to where i am over night, it took practice and repetition over and over and over again, along with looking at other artist and taking advice from the MLP art stylists themselves. If you like, here's one of my vids on how I draw ponies: 1 I'm just a silly little alicorn, trying to get by in the fandom ^^ The Lightning Bliss Show Lightning Bliss DevianArt
