I think it's a safe assumption that it will be better than the prequels, at least.

 

What I'm worried about is that they might not take that many risks. Wasn't the empire was defeated in the original trilogy? Why are they fighting them again? Why not have a new faction with a different ideology, instead of the typical good vs. evil plot we've seen in Star Wars over and over again?

My thinking is it won't so much be the Galactic Empire, but more like the Imperial Remnant(IK it isn't canon anymore). I would actually hope so as I really want to see the Imperials cast in a better light(doubt that will happen though, I mean they aren't 100% evil like they are made out to be). Plus I'd like to see stormtroopers actually fight as well as they are supposed to, stormtroopers are awesome.

Of course, trailers always look awesome, (not always, but most of the time), lets just hope it doesn't turn into pure CJI eye candy like episode 3 sorta did.

To be completely honest. I am both excited for the movie, and scared for the outcome. A lot of times in film, when producers attempt to bring back a legendary film such as Star Wars, they go over themselves, and make the movie bad. Because when you do this, you immediately have expectations, and if those aren't met, critics don't like it.
