Remove thread from "topics I've participated in?"

I was wondering if you can remove a topic from the "topics I've participated in" section? I'm just wondering because it seems like it could get cluttered pretty fast, or you might not want to constantly see a very active topic you made a single post in. I have searched the forum, and browsed though the faq/help section and didn't see anything about this.

Seems like this question has come up twice before, but I'm not seeing a complete resolution has ever been advised. I know current the Topics I've Participated In block does not have a user controlled setting allow you to exclude or otherwise ignore specific threads. I will see if this the a doable feature either in the near future and let you know shortly.

I'm pretty sure that feature is intended to be a place to access any and all topics that you have participated in, so it wouldn't have been designed with user-configuration in mind. I don't think implementing that is necessary, either: you can track topics in a more customizable way on the content I follow page.

You can access it by clicking your username in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and clicking Content I Follow:

You should then see a list of topics you follow, but you can alter the settings on the left-hand side of the screen to choose what you see.

In regard to topics, clicking the Change button to the right of any topic in that list allows you to change notification settings for that topic. You can also change more general notification options in your user settings.

This allows you to customize a list of topics that you can access at any time. Only topics that you follow will show up on this list. If you want to follow a topic, you have to click the follow button on its page.

I recommend using this feature to keep track of topics you want to access readily.
