Cryssi started panicking when the colour of the sky outside started to change from a low blue to a harsh orange and red. "IIt will be night soon. We can't stay out after night. It's too dangerous. This land seeps out dark magic at night in uninhabited areas, corrupting all those who it touches, we need to move. Now." Zac was getting anxious and scared, growing and tugging at Cryssi for them to get moving. Even a large Scorpion had a right to fear the darkness.

"Bloody guards, they should be taught discipline and to show their superiors respect. That is what I teach everyone within my command". 

 

Lasher looked at Elegron grinning. "Word has reached my ear that a certain mare" he looks at Dash "is looking for Dark Horn. O would gladly like to see him brought to justice. He helped the Enclave and he helped Rave. The Enclave used him to secure power in the skies, snatching it from the dragons. He also helped Rave with Project Hellfire, gave him the files. Was really easy for him to convince Rave, he was broken after all and his ancestors had developed the files".

Elegron suddenly felt a lot of strength sapped from him as he used a ton of magic in that last spell. He would need to find shelter, he couldn't fight like this. "Right, there's a nearby Cave over there." Elegron felt himself getting very VERY tired. This wasn't right.... Thump. Ground is nice, sleep now.

 

Dash and strawberry lemonade were quite surprised when he collapsed. They both carried him over to the cave, then dash, strawberry, and Greenleaves took turns guarding him.

"Well, with him knocked out, I guess it's just you and me.... Dash. That is your name, correct? I hear you are interested in Dark Horn. That you have been hunting him for quite some time. I might be able to help ya with that. He has left some trails that I've managed to pick up. What do ya say?".

"I was working on that, but I came down here for a break, If you have any leads that would be helpful." Dash replied, looking over at Elegron. "I hope he's ok.." Greenleaves was already looking him over " he will be, he just needs to rest. I have a mana restoration potion for him tomorrow, but he will still need to take it easy on the magic."

"Idiots. Guess I have to be the one to save our asses from being consumed."

 

Cryssi went to the entrance to the cave and started to draw on the ground in chalk. One line going from end to end, and a few signs and symbols on either side of the line. A few alchemy ingredients and and small verse in Dragon language, and a magical barrier sprung from the ground tapping them inside. Moments later, the sun vanished and Dark energy began to gather around the barrier. "This is why I said be needed to get to an inhabited area. This barrier will never fall, and I shall close it in the morning. Of course, you could just pass right through it and risk being taken by the Darkness, but that's up to you." Still quite hurt from her wounds, she sat next to Zac who was again drawing in the dirt and began to draw with him.

Lasher looked warily at Crissy. "I'm sure Rave would have loved being out here, he would have loved being consumed by the darkness. Where did you learn that? It's not like everypony knows dragon tongue nor that they know how to make magical protection with alchemy" he had an eyebrow raised.

Elegron muttered something in his sleep about a fish. "Fish?" Strawberry was confused.

"Not sure" dash replied. "I think he's talking in his sleep" said Greenleaves

"Well obviously, but what does fish have to do with anything?!??" Strawberry threw her hooves up in the air.

"Little things I picked up at school. I learnt dragon language from a mix of history and culture class and the alchemy from an old Zebra friend of mine, who specialise in wards. That's a good advantage of being schooled by the WPS, you learn and remember a lot of things that otherwise might be forgot." She gestured asking Lasher to come and sit with her and Zac "Come on, come and sit with us. I don't bite, [black Widow] [Charisma 10] unless of course you want me to."

Cryssi lowered her voice to match the volume of his. "Well then, did you know that I was private schooled, yes I was a privileged kid, and my teacher was once a servant of the Great Dragon Lord Grigori? Thought that might slip past you. Don't worry I won't say anything against you."

 

Zac was done with his drawings, and they where very good quality. As far as drawings from a Scorpion went anyway. He drew a picture of two grown ponies standing in front of a large house, trees and grass growing around them. One Scorpion in the picture carrying a baby pony. "Ohh. That's nice Zac. Maybe one day we will have that future. Not anytime soon though." She rested her head on Zac and began petting him, Zac giving our a low noise of enjoyment.

Dash repositioned Elegron so he was sleeping in her lap. More sleeptalk. "Dash... Don't stop..." Her eyes went wide and she turned beet red. "I swear... He's very kind, but he can be a real perv sometimes..." Strawberry lemonade blushed and tried her best to ignore it. Then Elegron started drooling on dash "ew!" She set him back down on the bedroll "he's really out of it." She looked embarrassed.

A little later, on the way to the restaurant, "I personally hold nothing against Elegron but can you knock some sense into him about SPYING into our personal life? I should hate him more than this granted babe but it's starting to get really irritating." Calming down some, "Let's forget about life issues and focus on tonight." Giving him soft, subtle kisses outside the rendezvous, "let's go, I am starved after our fun earlier." Giggling some, we entered the Le Lieu de Fantaisie to enjoy our meal.

"Ah Monsieur et Madame. Please follow me to your tables" a fancily dressed up waiter with a french moustache . Darkeye and Rain were given the table of honors. A band began to play romantic music. "Ehrm, isn't that a bit much?". "There is no such thing as 'too much' when it comes to amour" the waiter smiled.

"Hey Lasher. Why don't you take off your armour and battle Saddle? You look like you need to relax a little. Nothing can get to us while this barrier is up and we are gonna be here all night." She pulled out a small pouch of herbs from her bags. Took some out onto special paper and role it up. "How about some herbs? They really help you relax and just remain calm. They also help time pass Faster."

Elegron stirred a bit. "Wassthat?" He managed before falling asleep again. Dash eyed the drug suspiciously. "Is that what I think it is?" Strawberry lemonade was suddenly curious too. Greenleaves was avoiding it altogether. Being a medical pony she knew it had its uses, but she wasn't going to be involved with the abuse of drugs.

Lasher started to remove his armour and battle Saddle, on the battle Saddle were two Sniper Rifles attached. He put away his Anti-Machine Rifle that was hanging from his back. The dashite brand could be seen. "I don't smoke. Never have, never will" he said seriously.

Dash looked at the sleeping pony "the last thing you need is to get high" she laid down next to him, avoiding the growing pool of saliva, and nuzzled him. "I don't smoke, not good for health. Completely saps all of your stamina." Strawberry had much the same reaction. "Drugs and Chems aren't allowed back in stable city. Alcohol is fine though."

"Well it's your lose. I don't smoke much myself, but its good to have Some for a situation like this." She lay against a wall and started to smoke, quickly feeling a lot calmer and forgetting mostly about her now rather minor wounds. Her eyes caught the brand of a Dashite on Lasher's flank, but thought it best not to mention it, may bring back bad memories or offend him. But this did not stop her from staring at him regardless.

 

"Hey, it's an 'erb, not a drug. Their is a difference between them. One kills and one heals And helps. It's helps to be able to tell them apart."

Lasher could feel her staring. He did not like it, he sighed. He laid down near Crissy and started to draw in the ground, trying to match the scorpion. What came out was a complete mess. "Ugh, you cheated" he said to the scorpion, irritatedly. "Never liked drawing anyway".

Cryssi was laughing and so was Zac. Mainly laughing at Lasher's reaction to being bested at drawing by a Scorpion. "That's funny. More of a serious question now, what exactly brings you out this far? Their is nothing in this section of the wasteland, so why come this way by choice? It doesn't make much sense to be honest."

"Why come? Because I have heard rumors. This was the direction where the Stabledweller was heading. Not that I was looking for him, was more interested in the half-breed. She has..... similar interests as I do, or at least for the moment. So yeah, that is the reason".

"I was thinking about requesting a vacation from the ponyville city council. Could I potentially leave slasher in charge until we return? I feel like I am stuck here too long. Hmm." Connecting hoofs now, "Maybe something of a leave on both of our parts. what do you think?" The waiter arrived just then, "Did you have enough time to review the menu? How may I serve you?" He asked politely. "We offer apple cider or hard cider?" Not sure what to pick, I pursed my lips. "I'll take hard cider please." "How about you sir?" Turning to Darkeye.

"Oh. Ok that makes sense. I guess." She put out her smoke and started to feel very tired. Eventually she passed out and her head landed on Lasher's shoulder. Zac took the hint from Cryssi and he found a nice spot of soft dirt and drew a circle around him. A mark of territory and then went to sleep himself.

"Apple cider for me thank you" he looks back at Rain. "I have been thinking about a vacation as well, but things are happening right now. Elegron has showed himself and it is an oppertunity that WPS cannot miss. I am expected to continue with my job, if Elegron is ever captured, I will have to be the one judging me. However, he might just be killed instantly as capturing him would be pointless. It would only serve to increase our standing with the populace". 

 

Lasher's face went red again.
