I use worse language than that in my regular posting and I never get modded. The mods are strict about NSFW content when it's blatant nudity or porn but language like in that video is everyday stuff here on MLPForums. Plus it'd be excluding quite a few great AMVs if you filter out anything that was even remotely suggestive since some AMVs have several clips from different anime that can be slightly risque. Or the songs throw around language like it's nothing.

 

Plus you'd have to define what NSFW actually means. Is it just sexual content or violence too? Emotionally charged or religiously challenging? By the time you really define it nothing short of a party AMV in a kid's anime is all that could exist here.

 

And it's not like the entire topic is gonna get shut down because someone posts something inappropriate. Most likely it'll just be that one post being modded or deleted. I'm willing to take that chance.

I could never pick one AMV. I watch them all the time. I'll throw down two in my post. An action one and a dance one. Both are my favorite types of AMVs. I typically have pretty high standards for what makes a good AMV too. Usually popular, long-running anime like Naruto and Bleach churn out the shittiest of AMVs and they're everywhere.

 

First up, an AMV from one of my favorite anime: Darker Than Black.

 

 

And then a dance AMV. Probably my favorite of all the ones I've seen.

Dance AMVs tend to be pretty good but unfortunately they also use a lot of the same clips. There's only so many anime with fluid dancing animation. Sometimes they improvise well though.

I asked about it, they said anything excessive in those areas, plus i don't need kids to hear that kind of stuff. I prefer to abide by the rules of these forums, i've only messed up once and learned my lesson.

Here's another one of my faves:

This AMV (I think it might have been the first version, actually) got me to watch Madoka Magica all on it's own. I had literally no interest before that.

 

I still need to see Rebellion but the series felt like it didn't need more either. I was perfectly fine with the ending in spite of the sorta-cliffhanger.

I don't usually watch PMVs but this is one of my favorites just from the work they put into it. Plus they couldn't have chosen a better Micheal Jackson song to go with.

 

While watching xMVs of any kind I don't like to watch too many of the same series in a row though. It gets boring. Plus much like the popular anime videos a lot of PMVs tend to be shit because people edit poorly or throw a song on top of clips without any editing at all. Very VERY rarely does that ever work out. This is one of the only AMVs I've ever seen where that has worked well:

This AMV got me to buy what is now one of my favorite anime:

 

 

This one also one of the ones with little editing that worked out well. They actually made me believe people were on completely different sides than they actually are in the anime.

 

I also have a fighting game called Aquapazza co-developed by the creators of this anime that has a bunch of characters from several of their anime fighting each other. It's one of my favorite fighting games to date.

 

The anime itself has kind of a rushed ending but everything besides that is perfection.

I barely watch PMVs, but since this one has one of my most favourite songs of all time, I listened to it. And it was surprisingly good for a PMV. Usually they lack creativity and look like every other PMV on YouTube.
