should there be a mlp college?

I would actually be proud to go to such a college but this really ain't realistic, as much as I'm hardcore, it's not realistic much. Brony groups, conventions, clubs, yeah but an entire College? nay, It's starting to go over the line there. Also imagine the fun haters would have if a college existed. It'll be like an Anteater outside an Ant colony. However, for 22 years I've never found a place where I belong until I became a Brony; in a way, I would actually love this to be true. I would feel right at home and for the very first time in my life, feel I belong. Still, it's not a realistic idea plus how would you even get Teachers for this?

Bottom line; as much as I'd like this to be true, I'm going to have to give it a no for several reasons.

Look, I like the show, and I think that it's great that there are dignified shows for young girls now, but

IT'S JUST A SHOW!!

Jesus Christ, why is it that people seem to want to make the world a utopia centered around MLP? First a Brony country, a Brony state, now a Brony college? Why?

Seriously, I haven't seen any other fandoms that want to make the world centered around their interest before. People are always talking about the cruelty of the world, and how Equestria, or a world ruled by bronies would be a better place. It's not! Conflict will always exist. People will always have conflicting ideologies, even if they all somehow one day lived in the same nation, and that's life. How else are people supposed to grow and learn if they strive for a world where everything is handed to them?

people are not always talking about the cruelty of the world there are people who are ok with it. basically we are not all going to agree on the same thing. yes conflict will always exist. the show is favored by fans just like any show is. there are most people who want the world to be like a show or make life about the show. but thats not it, it all comes down to the same thing. we want what we want. we want to make the world like the show or like any fiction out there because it is a world we want. its just all wants in this matter. i want this fiction world to be true because i think ill be best in the show, i mean i already know all about it. but thats just what i want. i never took into consideration, if someone else wouldnt be right for the world i just thought that i would be right for it. and we will never live in the same nation unless its dictated. and we grow any way posible in all catagorys. and there is not utopia theres no such thing because once someone has what they want there going to want something else.

and anything is real it just has to be put into the history books with a little bit of proof.

love is like a song to me.

when you love that song you wanna listen to it every day over and over.

there always something more to learn form that song.

but when theres marriage that is a song made by two in matrimony.

a song hand crafted in a harmonious tune only the two will truly understand and love for eternity.

By people I meant a good number of bronies. Sorry for not being clear on that.

Also if you were confused as to why I made such an outburst of a post, I've just seen too many fans who want to live in some fantasy world, unwilling to deal with real life. Forgive me for associating you with them.

And just to add; it's not the show nor fandom that makes someone quit/give up on life, they'd just prefer their life to be more like the show. I guess a lot of us do to an extent.

Just because people would prefer to make life more like a fictional place doesn't mean anything like that, I still pursue my dreams and further my life, however if given the chance I would most certainly rather live in a world such as mlp rather than here, doesn't mean I have lost perspective on reality.

An MLP club, YES PLEASE! :D An MLP college....I don't know how that would work really :( Now if you mean a normal college meant just for bronies, I guess that could work, if alot of bronies lived in that area

Well....they made a real life Hogwart's so Harry Potter fans already took a big step in adding their fandom to the world :squee:

No. The purpose of college it to "further education." If you made an MLP college,

1) I'd doubt it would be super popular

2) the only main thing that could probably be taught would be artistic things

3) the art would probably revolve mainly around MLP stuff, so coming out of that college would result in limited job opportunites

4) due to the limited degrees, the college would have to be relatively cheap to make it appeasing.

Now, that's just assuming the college was based off of MLP. If it was only for bronies... then you'd probably have to make it a private college, which usually costs more than a public college...

I think the idea is cool but not going to work, as for a bronie club in college? Same idea really. But hey, either way I like you're idea! Just... Don't know how it would work in practise

A brony college.... I think we'd have to wait till a College for Otakus (even though an anime fan; I find such a concept nightmarish) is opened, to present such an idea. Although in ten years I'm sure some major American university will offer a credit course involving MLP somehow.... They got them for Star Trek if I remember right.

A college for bronies is as useful as a potato powered light.

At least a Potato powered light might get you a participation ribbon in an elementary school science fair, so I would consider that far more useful.

@@SpaceOnion, Considering that we live in a time when, as an example; a Star Trek fan will swear up and down about how awesome a cashless society will be in the near future, then spends large quantities of cash buying fan geared crap that feeds into a consumerist society without showing the slightest amount of cognitive dissonance ( much like buying a Che Guevara t-shirt at hot topic)... can't say I'm surprised at finding such attitudes everywhere among fandoms, although it does seem more prevalent among Bronies.

But at least it's not as disconcerting as the average political party election campaign. :P

I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees.
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?

To put this in the politest way I know how: that is the worst idea.

You. You get it. This is a TV show. A brony club is seriously pushing my limits, since the most specialized clubs I have seen are devoted to whole genres. And building on your statement about the theoretical Brony Utopia, people would just end up murdering each other over which pony is cutest or the dwindling fedora supply.

This is seriously an absolutely terrible idea, something so bad that I want it to happen so those who would buy into it would be properly punished by the for-profit debt creating nature of higher education, but with a degree that'll probably get the police called on you.

No.

It already costs huge amount of money to go to college for a regular education. It'd be pointless, and wouldn't exactly help you find a career. However! If in a regular college there was a single class like, "Evaluating The Magic of Friendship" (sort of like some colleges have a class on South Park or a class on Lady Gaga) that focused on educational discussion of the show... that would be awesome.

No thanks. You can't have a college reserved for people who like the same TV Show. It doesn't make sense. The best alternative would be to create a brony group at college.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

Doesn't seem possible but it would really be something, wouldn't it? :)

I like the idea but how it will survival is another issue entirely whether it be a club or college. What would you do there? That would be my first question for a club or college.

Colleges are not exclusive to america, and anyway the military budget goes towards things that are more practical.

No it goes towards what they assume is best for America.

And blow it on things they don't need and what they think they need.
