So I recently saw this video called "Love Letters to Richard Dawkins".

It's where Richard Dawkins sits down and reads off his hate mail.

What do you think of the video?

Are you a bit shocked at the hate mail this man receives?

 

Personally, I think it's ridiculous how people can claim to be Christians, and say stuff like this to him.

Though, I did find this video absolutely hilarious.

Not surprised in the least. Take a strong stand on anything and people are going to hate you for it, especially where religion is involved.

When was this video made? This year! Huh, I didn't think people cared about Dawkins anymore. His popularity only ever confused me as his style of argumentation is mediocre at best, he is not really a philosopher or expert debater or anything. Hes better at being a biologist.

I'm not overly fond of profanity/obscenity/vulgarity (or Dawkins, for that matter, but that's a different conversation entirely), but I must confess I found his deadpan delivery rather amusing. Also, I get the feeling that at least some of the hate mail was from trolls pretending to be Christians to give Christian folk a bad name. At least, I really hope some of it is.

I may not be a fan of Dawkins but this is still hilarious, if I were to send an e-mail to Dawkins it would have quite a bit more substance than "stop being gay and stupid."

Some of them sound like letters from people just angling to get him to read them aloud. Anyone who publishes hate mail will get a lot of faux hate mail from people who hope to get it in the next batch.
