I like the Wrestle Kingdom* stage with all of the lightbulbs and the long enterance ramp. It is simple but grand at the same time.

WrestleMania is cool but I don't care about the musical acts or celebrity guests, I watch wrestling for the wrestling.

*On second thought, that might've been a WCW show in Japan.

I don't know what WWE thinks internally, but I'm happy that most of the wrestlers who have been released were brought back

particuarly Emma and Dakota Kai.

Also, William Regal is a great talent scout from what I've heard so if that's what his new role ends up being then WWE's future is looking bright, IMO.

WCW & NJPW did run a show at the Tokyo DOme on Jan.4th before there ever was a WK. So you're half right.

Rumor had it Willy had a clause in his contract that he gets an early out if Trips gets back into power.

I felt like William Regal was just waiting, too. I didn't think he would be in AEW for very long.

I dunno. Felt like him being a scout for Tony and being with his boy D-Bry would've been enough.

On another note, congrats to Kairi (Sayne) for becoming the first IWGP women's champion.

I miss Kairi and I wish she'd had a chance to win either the Raw or SmackDown Women's Championships.

I don't remember if she had any opportunities.

I wish Curt Hennig had become WWF Champion looking back now as a fan of his work.

Rumour has it he was gonna win the Royal Rumble too. Amazing how tastes change for fans as they get older, the shift from character to in ring ability.

Fun fact: Danielson was originally an Ultimate Warrior fan.

The Rumble where it was Perfect and Hogan as the final two? I'm positive that's how I remember one of them.

Right? I used to love watching high flying "flippy" wrestlers but now I'm more into wrestlers like Regal, Angle and Danielson.

It's also taken me from mid-2002-ish until this year to get to the point where I enjoy watching male wrestlers in WWE again.

I didn't remember which rumble the whole title shot thing started on.

I was originally a Kane fan. But then fell out for five years and found out he lost his mask. Then I became a Cena & DX mark. Then Cena became super and DX became stale. It was actually finding CM Punk that led me down the indy rabbit hole in 2008.

And dang? Nothing in 20 years? Not even NXT? And I read male in there, but those first 15 years weren't exactly causing fans to draw parallels between the Divas and the Crush Gals or Jumping Bomb Angels.

I go by the WWE video games and a lot of the wrestlers during that time didn't interest me when I would play them in matches.

That's quite the jump around.

Yeah, if you knew nothing about WWE guys other than their looks, all of them are pretty generic.

Kane was like a cool superhero when I was a kid. I blame the Chef Boyardi commercials. How did they not give him a megapush with him doing so much publicity? Cena & DX were just cool and funny people to me. PG kinda killed that for me. Punk was different than everybody else. I admired his drug free philosophy and he could wrestle too. He wasn't like all the other big sweaty men and so I look up where he came from and went down the ROH/TNA/CZW/WSX rabbit hole.

And that late? Wow.

At least Sheamus's hair stood up which, made him stand out.

X-Pac and Kane were my favorite team when I first started watching WWF. :D Kane likes to avoid hugging in tag teams. :dash:

Same for John Cena with me. I admire his desire to make his fans happy. :BrightMacContent:

Trish Stratus was the reason I watched Raw from 2002-ish to September 2006 so when she retired it was like there was something missing for me.

Thank You for the match, BWBFF! :D

I've watched so much wrestling that (if the sequence is common enough) I can predict moves before they happen which, includes two moments here.

Well, you can thank these two for starting that sequence in America.

They were the ones who brought the

Somersault over the distracted referee

to America? Awesome! :D

Just thought I'd leave this here. Bray Wyatt's new entrance theme has officially been released as a single.

Every 5* match in 2022. Which was your favorite?

Just based on sheer tenacity, I've gotta go with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at HIAC back in June. Gutsy performance with an arm he couldn't even raise.
