I always figured a weapon like this would be shoulder mounted but alright.

 

I wont be able to redraw because i'm heading to a friends but imagine the shoulder rest on top of the weapon opposed to where it is now. Attach some heavy chain running from the support to an attachment on the shield so Greshken can sling it over his shoulder. Then a smaller handle on the barrel so he can hold it.

Chip has been trying to fix the tank. Meanwhile I wake up, Crackshot tries to convince Ezekiel to stick around. That's when Ezekiel senses the spirit within and he started communicating with it.

Oh just saying, the spirit isn't "invading your mind" it just can see that stuff. To spirits, your emotions are as plain at a glance as your fur color.

Oh just saying, the spirit isn't "invading your mind" it just can see that stuff. To spirits, your emotions are as plain at a glance as your fur color.

To be honest that makes no sense to me. They could see general emotions that easily, but actual thoughts and memories do require some kind of invasion, because you can shield those away with pure willpower.

 

Even if they exist on an emotional plane, they can't read anything significant or specific without actually intruding in someone's thoughts.

 

At least that's how I see it.

but yea the shield of the cannon is the tank armor of the turret casing which is what we were cutting

Thats the point a being on the emotional plane looking at someones soul can't expect to find what he's looking for just like that! The mind is a complex and fickle thing that cannot simply be read. That is why all this unnescesary information came along with it. If you're telling me that spirits can read minds as if they were gods, finding just what they want to on a whim, instead of having to find it in a stream of chaotic emotion, then I'll have to edit my post, because that makes things very different.

 

And that's another thing that I wanted to get across. The possibility of the spirit not accepting him, because his intentions weren't pure at all. At least they didn't use to be.

That's exactly what I'm telling you. Just as Discord knew all about each of the Mane Six despite never having met them before. In the absence of Celestia and Luna, the spirits have sprung up around the Equestria Wasteland to fill in the astral power vacuum.

 

The spirits are limited though, as according to their "spirit power" which has a specific rating in the rules. Spirits like Discord have a high spirit power whereas the fire spirit and the machine spirit in the tank are pushovers. They can still tell everything about you at a glance, they just can't do a lot about it besides mock you, and unless you have the "spiritually awakened" trait, you won't even hear them do that.

You know what nevermind. I tend to go a bit over the top with my interpretations and ideas sometimes. I shouldn't have made such a big deal out of this. I apologise for unnecessarily criticising your ideas about spirits. You're the expert after all.

Needless to say Greshken didn't take the machine spirit's gleaning of his soul very well. He's now very angry and throwing out threats of violence. On the upside though, the tank's cannon is now loose and can be used by him as a personal weapon. Chip's still trying to fix the tank itself.
