Well its somewhat close to there. I'd estimate the rads per second around 10-20. Means 10-20 seconds before he dies. Wouldn't risk it.

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

Ok. I posted. My next post will introduce virtue to the roleplay. If you want to see her sheet is with the others in the Google doc.

Virtues and vices? I guess they raise/lower your Karma.

As for the name Virtue; it's a wordplay with the word virtuosity, which is actually a firm of musical talent and versatile creativity. Although Virtue dus have slightly good Karma (+5 if I remember correctly) calling her by her full name, virtuosity, would be more appropriate

Just realised that Greshken ignored Ezekiel completely. I'll edit that.

No I was referring to the message of virtues in the story. Something not necessarily covered in the mechanics of the rules but a theme. Like how Calamity's was Loyalty, Xenith's was humility, Littlepip's was sacrifice, etc.

So you mean we should assign virtues to each other? Perhaps maybe vices instead of the characters have negative Karma.

Remind me, you've read the original FoE right?

No. I barely have time to do anything really. It's a God's blessing I get to make this much posts! I'd read it I had more free time on my hands

I do have a very vast amount of knowledge of the original fallout lore though, so that helps.

You do sound a wee bit condescending there to be honest. Was it expected of me?

Well not in this case as virtues are something unique to the story.

A pony's virtue is the essence of their soul, the thing that keeps them for lack of a better term "human" in the Wasteland. It's what separates a pony form a Raider, it's the line they won't cross, the one claim to morality they have when they've lost everything else. Even evil ponies have a virtue, even if it's a twisted and warped version of said virtue. (The Elements of Harmony? The Mane Six's virtues.)

When a pony abandons their virtue, that's when they are truly damned.

The subject of vices is entertained, but it's more a joke at Littlepip's expense. She suggests her virtue is curiosity, but her friends call it a vice.

Alright, I get the concept. But what's your idea with it then?

Oh nothing, I claim no guidance with this RP. I just thought that since it's a major part of the mythos it would show up here in some fashion. My question was more to Defender as he is the GM.

Ok.

Dashia had set out three years and two months prier to meeting the group. Two months into her search for the parts to make the Novasurge Rifle, she was ambooshed by a group of baddies.

They captured her and made her a slave to fight in what is known as the Pitt. She faught in the Pitt for two years. (would gain pitt fighter and booster shot quest perks during the two years.) During her time in the Pitt, she did make two friends. One was the Minatuar she spoke of earlier. The other was one of the slavers. She was partner to the Minatuar in battle and she somehow talked the slaver into turning over a new leaf. At the end of her second year second month she was pitted against her partner of two years. Both refused to kill eachother no matter what would happen to them. They layed down on the ground ready to die for the friendship they forged. However the pitt masters had a better idea then to just blow their slave collars. The two teamed up for what would have been their last fight. They were pitted against 5 irradiated feral ghouls. After a very long and exhausting battle, the two won. As a reward for winning and surviving, they were to be taken and sold on the slave market.

However, during transfer the caravan that they were a part of was attacked by alicorns. They were seeking to make more of their kind. Those they cold capture they did. Those they couldn't died. The one who she befriended set her loose during this. However, after doing so an alicorn had teleported on top of him and killed him.

Dashia was able to free the Minatuar and fight beside him in an unrestricted fight for once. This however came to its natural conclusion. She had to talk the Minatuar into tactically withdrawing, to come back better equipped and a bit more powerful and finish what was started. During their withdraw a slaver netted Dashia but was killed by an alicorn and Dashia was captured. It took 10 alicorns to bring down and capture the Minatuar.

After this Dashia and her Minatuar friend were taken back with all the others to be turned into alicorns. They tested the Minatuar first and after the first test (The Minatuar gains touched by the taint 1 from this), he was released. They found him too stubborn to die and unsuitable for the transformation. Dashia was the last to be tested for this process. They used the taint pool three times one her over 6 months. (Each time it happened She gained one of the touched by the taint quest perks.) The first time she came out of it with 800 rad points. Not enough for them to be able to finish the process. The second time, she came out of the pool with only 600 rad points. Still not what they needed to finish the process. The third time they did the test, she came out of it with only 400 rad points. They felt she survived but failed to qualify, At that time, to be transformed. The reason she didn't transform comes from her natural rad res and the boosts she gained from being a Pitt Fighter and the Booster Shot.

They let her go and offered her as an apology for their actions her starting gear and the first piece of the novasurge rifle. They also allowed her to look at what info they had on the vertures pertaining to the 6 Elements of Harmony.

She left and 3 months later she meet the group.

Well you can always give suggestions. After all in a roleplay we work together, and you are clearly more experienced on FoE lore than I am. I'd love to hear your ideas if you have any. :)

Well I don't know where we are headed or what our end game is. I do think that actually discovering our virtues would be cool for each of our characters because it would represent an arc.

One thing though is that it shouldn't be stated. The Mane Six don't say "I'm the element of generosity" it's a verb, they don't have to say it because they embody it. So if that is to be a factor, it's more important that it's implied rather than said.

Your backstory looks pretty cool to me Midnight, but I still think the extra amount of perks you'd get from this is a bit to much.

Maybe if we do go for 1 perk per level you could expend five points for those quest perks (or at least more than 2)

@Ezekiel the virtue arc seems rather cool to me, since you can orientate your other actions around it and find out for yourself if the virtue of your character changes as you progress to the roleplay. It's a great tool for character development (hence the name character arc lol XD)

@Scribblegroove

hey Scribblegroove, I did give up something for the perks. Think about it like this, I should have at least 5 levels from fighting in the pitt.

I gave that up and am giving up two leveling perks to be same level as party with two less perks then everyone, for things like intense training or other non Quest Perks.

Quest Perks are gained differently then leveling perks.

@Defender

Then let's just say the Minatuar escaped. And it was really important for them. Am also taking into account it was done before the mother frame's destruction and their being freed. The mother frame only felt it necessary for all ponies to be made Alicorns and placed under her command.

With that logic I could say Greshken had enough experience in his life (which is 10 years longer than your character mind you) to be lvl 10, but have that up for quest perks. That makes no sense. We could all say we're actually 'supposed' to be a higher level because of our Background, but we're all supposed to be on an equal level.

And that's what's bothering me. Statistically speaking, your character would have a lot more benefits than all of our characters, while we're supposed to be equal. Your character would have more than ours, and that's a fact. There's nothing to argue about at that point.
