Bronettes of the world unite!

Some pony here (who shall currently go nameless as they thought it a stupid idea) brought to my attention the word Bronette.

*stands on soap box*

I say that this is an excellent way to describe a female brony! Long have we suffered under the almost laughable label of "Pegasister". Eyes have rolled! Ponies have pontificated! At last we have a solution! I present a bill before all of Equestria, that from this day forth, that any female brony may use "Bronette" as a way of presenting themselves for the purposes of communication and brevity. The shackles of "pegasister" may be tossed to the weighside!

*gets off of soap box*

Listens for the applause!

Crickets chirping is NOT applause! ;)

LOL!  Best topic in a long, long while. xD  Here's a pic of the fake-Rainbow Dash as a fake-Brunette.

This is a show of support.  I think.  It's relevant somehow.  I think.

Is it weird that I actually called myself Edwarda_Bronette a while ago before this topic was made? :wau: I like the sound of it better than pegasister, at least...  :mustache:

Or you could call yourself brony. Giving a name to a fandom is stupid anyway imo. Just say you're My Little Pony fans.

You know, on second review and after careful consideration my the power of my magic 8 ball I shall move this one to the forum lounge because it has the the tongue in cheeky-ness to live there.

The Great And Powerful Katie has defeated the Diamond-butt mod and this thread shall remain Great and Powerful!

(or I just presented my reasons to Jaric in a thoughtful and reasoned manner as to why I think we need a thread promoting this cause)

Take your pick. ;)

Anyways, seems like some of us like this option. I will be using it on occasion.

From here on out, I am a Bronette! (Brony if used collectively, but if specifying gender as a part of this identity, Bronette!)

I hope it has some effect. I can deal with Brony as a general term, just pegasister seems like an ugh word. Not that Bronette will not be met with any criticism. I like it. Simple. Easy. Sounds like Brony... But helps to specify gender (most of the time I just use brony, but sometimes it is nice to be able to specify).

The only person I have met in person whose name was Tao was a young woman from Vietnam. But I guess most people in the west have preconceived notions,

Raises a Bronette-hoof to you!
