Not_active 732 March 15, 2015 Share March 15, 2015 (edited) I love looking up at the night sky thinking about all the stars, planets, galaxies, nebulas, black holes and things we don't even know exist, that are out there, billions of lightyears away. Maybe there are intelligent beings out there, having their own "internet" where they have their own fandoms like this one, and they ask themselves the same questions as we speak? I took this picture of the moon not long ago, with a Nikon camera with some big objective thing...too lazy to check Not too impressive, I hope I can do something better soon, if I can get a telescope Edited March 15, 2015 by RaveRatchet 4 Ask me something: https://mlpforums.com/topic/116567-ask-ravelowif-you-want-to-3/page-2 <3 :*
Pastel 7,630 March 15, 2015 Share March 15, 2015 (edited) Astronomy is my favorite science (it's a shame we don't study it a lot in school), I've always been intrigued and amazed by space, and I've always dreamed to explore other planets/galaxies. I even wanted to be an astronomer when I was younger (today I'm not really sure...) It's crazy to think there are countless other galaxies, who knows what could be in some of them? DashYoshi 9,565 March 15, 2015 Share March 15, 2015 Astronomy is one of my favorite field of science to learn about. The existence of strange and unique planets, some we can't even imagine, and the possibility of life are some of the biggest mysteries in the universe, in my opinion. You could say I've been obsessed with space since I was young. I even visited the Space Center here in Florida three times in my life! 4 ~ Created by @Princess Moony ~

Shift 4,272 March 15, 2015 Share March 15, 2015 Even though I liked geology better, astronomy is incredibly interesting and I've always enjoyed learning about it in my science classes that have delved into the subject. However, I wouldn't consider it for a career or anything. 3 Have the courage to think and act on your own. And have the courage to disobey. Shadow Beam 1,179 March 15, 2015 Share March 15, 2015 (edited) The science of stars. A wonderful subject. Created to reward us with both questions and answers about who we are and where are we in the Universe. Isn't it breathtaking knowing that up there, every single doth in the dark sky is a star. A star possibly holding other planets, asteroids and other celetial bodies on it's orbit? Isn't incredible knowing that what we're able to take sight of from here is only a negligible fraction of our galaxy, and even more so, our galaxy is just one from billions and billions, each one different from the other and filled with things we can only imagine? SCS 7,537 March 18, 2015 Share March 18, 2015 I love astronomy. I wouldn't say that space is the final frontier, but it is certainly pretty close to that. Staring into the night sky or looking at photos of space evoke a feeling of wonder and immense mystery within me that not many other things can.
